yeah that is a good thing. i wonder if they will all come away from it at some point in the future with a different outlook of each other, than when they went in? so far, ATS has proven that getting someone to see your point of view is difficult if they have been taught that anything you say that is in disagreement to a certain stereotyped view of life, the universe and everything, is automatically in opposition to them.

many times they shoot themselves in the foot by accusing interested passersby with stuff like, "white people are evil, greedy, capitalistic bastards that need to be eradicated" "Britain is the great whore and the USA is the beast," "your money is my money and if you don't agree, i'll just bust in your door and take yer stuff." "tell your bosses that i said hi to their moms."

Better to be out doing that than in front of the tv wondering what reality show is coming on next. Even if there is some agenda behind the protests.

And who really cares? There is a big monster that ows is facing, and its better to stand up to it than to be beaten around. Please do some actual research, money doesn't mean anything. Money cannot deter this movement from its targets, because there are many.

Just like the argument that "they have no goal", but, there is so much that needs to be fixed, having one goal is hard other than "FIX THE GOD DAMN SYSTEM", because we're getting screwed.

Anyways, I'de rather do something than being an armchair warrior trying to convince other people not to do something for the betterment of society, Please stop making these threads, we've heard it all already, and this particular soros connection has already been seen and discussed and OWS came out with a statement about it as well, saying it was BS, and they would not accept corporate money at all, so if it gets to them through other channels, thats just more money to prepare for the winter.

All i see from most OWS supporters so far is loads of hypocriscy and turning the blind eye.

Anonymous' motivations were already in doubt, instigator of OWS was Anonymous and surprise surprise, Soros of all people now pops up as backdoor funder of OWS.

War drums beating again, protests all over the globe (as far as sitting on ur ass in a public square is protesting), and financial armageddon on the horizon but "who cares" what's really going on right? "Who cares" where the funding behind OWS comes from... Right?

All you seem to be doing now is promote agenda's that aren't even your own and yes, ur playing the cards exactly as they want you to and are getting double barreled bij TPTB.

Did any of you honestly think that OWS or any other form of revolt against TPTB would go unanswered and no attempts would be made to infiltrate said group?

Everything is going as it should be going for as far as I can tell, we all know that this would happen and we all know that there is no point in getting intimidated. The only way forward is to inform the masses in order grow in strength until we have reached "critical mass".

And when that happens, we all know that excrement is going to hit the fans and it is the way WE react to that situation that is going to decide the future of the entire planet and our entire species.

The Occupy movement will not change the system, but it may wake a few people up and it is providing a platform for the discussion of alternatives, again a good thing.

The squatters are now just making a nuisance of themselves. Raising awareness would have been better accomplished in Washington DC where it could have affected real change. But now, they are driving local small businesses into the poor house.

Mission accomplished!

So to those worried that the Occupy movement will change the world into a Marxist/Communist hell hole. I believe you can sleep easy. The current system isn't going anywhere. Just more of the same, more wars, more lying politicians, more bank bail outs, more inequality, more exploitation. All the good stuff that your desperate to hold on to.

Most of us were never worried about the outcome. Having said that, now that you mentioned ALL that will remain the same then what the hell was the point? As a matter of fact, your second paragraph just confirms and reiterates why Occupying Wall Street was a bone head idea in the first place.

You know, I'm seriously astonished at the amount of anti-OWS stuff on ATS. You would have thought that this is what most people here always wanted, with all the hate and opposition of the government everywhere (and rightly so). But then once some people actually try to do something about it, you get several threads a day trying their absolute best to make them stop or paint them in a bad light. What these people should be doing is going directly to the source who has colluded with the corporate and banking world to get us into the mess we are now in. Also I would have been outside the offices of the democrat congressmen and women who have contributed to this madness.

But know this about many of these occupiers: a. some are students who believe I as a tax payer owe them an education, while me and mine struggled to pay our own way. b. some are communist/socialist wanna bes dressing up and play acting. c. some are stoned and oblivious to the real issues. d. some don't really want a job, they just like to bitch about wanting a job. some are there to party. f. some are there to cause chaos.

Also going Global financially was a bad bad bad idea. We are too intertwined with multi national companies and other entities, who do NOT have our best interest at heart. It's dog eat dog, and the dog is now eating it's own head.

No one ever said life is fair, and some of us are getting real tired of working our butts off to pay for someone else to sit on their butts. We have our own families to try to house, feed, clothe and educate. I'm running out of time, money and patience.

Honestly even though I don't know what agenda Soros has behind the supposed fundings,I'd do the same thing if I had his money.Sponsor revolutions,topple corrupt governments and why not, install a new system entirely in them through popular support.

I'm not a member of an occupy movement. I'm an "american citizen" as labeled by the humans in control at the time of my birth. We need to remove the government.

the only thing these occupy movements are doing is stinking up parks and making idiots out of themselves, even anyone half blind can see this is the lefts version of tea party, if you have any discernment you can see how all this will play out it's scripted get them all in the street cause violence then declare marial law and open the fema camp doors, sad thing is they have no idea they'll be the first ones shoved into these camps, obama's goal is to get rid of anyone who opposes his communist goals he's no different than hitler and stalin.

Soros has allegedly been funding the NYPD as well, as Soros met with NYPD's Police Chief Kelly at NYPD headquarters.

Soros was witnessed being escorted in and out by a retired NYPD cop, driving a wine-colored Mercedes.

Ask yourselves this question: Why would Soros fund the NYPD if he was interested in #ows succeeding?

This isn't about left or right, it's about power. The political spectrum is used by the elite as a tool for control.

I feel in order for the Occupy... movement to be "played" they would've had to have had an objective from the beginning, which they still don't have. They continuously rant about big money while publicly showing their support for the same. They are just hypocritical 'Entitlement mentality' trust fund children who want their 4-year party at expensive private universities paid for by someone other than themselves, and a high paying job given to them with no expectations of performance.

Keep them funded, keep them "protesting", shoot some more civvies in the head with gas canisters until things start going boom and they have an excuse to crack down with more than rubber bullets.

This sums up nicely where I think OWS is headed.
