Good to know.
You know, I'm seriously astonished at the amount of anti-OWS stuff on ATS. You would have thought that this is what most people here always wanted, with all the hate and opposition of the government everywhere (and rightly so). But then once some people actually try to do something about it, you get several threads a day trying their absolute best to make them stop or paint them in a bad light. I can't quite make sense out of it.

Actually, OWS wants Obama's healthcre plan.
sites.google.com...
Yes, that is correct. But they want more of it. They want Universal health care, not just subsidized insurance plans which tell people when to off themselves for the sake of their families( Olbermann style)
Apologies. I should have said they want the plan Obama wanted.
Oh, the link also goes on to describe how they want Al Gore environmental laws as well.
Makes you really wonder.
-er, well not us. We figured it out!

For someone to believe that this 1 man is pulling the strings on over 1600 occupations worldwide is absurd. Even if he has a pull in OWS, what about Oakland, Atlanta, Birmingham, Paris, Melbourne, Toronto, Phoenix, Baltimore, and the rest?
The occupations have become a platform for anyone with grievances, most of which connect back to the economy.
If you aren't doing nothing, then I'd assume that you're out in the streets because as citizens that's where we need to go to get change. That's where the occupations are.

They want to replace one collectivist system with another. Yes, let’s go from the corruption that is corporatism to straight-up socialism ..... that will fix everything!! Let’s give even more power and control to the people who got us into trouble. Makes sense!!
Though I love the debate, it’s seriously discouraging that people with so much passion and intelligence (I’m talking about some of the OWS supporters on ATS) have such a hard time seeing through the smoke screen. The elites that OWS so vigorously oppose are the very people pulling their strings and directing their actions. They believe they are supporting the movement of our time, and that a great new America will be the result of their efforts. The reality is that the change they are facilitating is going EVEN FURTHER off the course our founders set….and many welcome that? They don’t understand what made our country the greatest country in the world and many don’t even believe it is!
Very sad times we live in. It’s more than unfortunate that half the people in this country (the people who brought us Obama and a liberal congress in 08’ and now support OWS) are going to drive us off the cliff, especially when we are so close to really fixing this problem! We are one year away from a 100% power shift in government and potentially a path to fix things….if only we can survive that long.

Keep it OWS

The saddest thing with OWS is that they believe they are the 99% when in reality they are a very small percentage of the 99% - maybe .5%

Liars come in all shapes and sizes.
Simply because he claims all of that doesn't make it true. If he was lying it just shows how delusional some are. If he wasn't lying then that to me demonstrates that some aren't as "Impoverished" as they would like some to believe and are in fact out there to protest at their leisure.
Some of us on the other hand have jobs and need to work to eat and have a roof over our heads.

I respectfully disagree. I think the saddest thing is that there are many of the 99% who clearly don't seem to have the mental faculties to work out or even see they are being shafted by corrupt lying warmongers. And yet that doesn't exclude them from the 99% in anyway..

Yah, but if they can somehow get the rest of the 99% to believe they are backing them, it's the biggest con job ever(next to the Kenyan British National in the WH running this scam)

So if we don't support OWS, we're stewpid?
I guess having a different opinion is also stewpid.
