Your government were serious movers and shakers in the whole Iraq thing. I know. I worked in your country's embassy for your government at that time, in defense diplomacy. Your government all knew exactly what was going on. They got stuff wrong - gravely wrong. At least you should have if you read anything more informative than the Daily Mail. Come on. If you know anything about the machinations of government, you know that what they report in the msm is propaganda. The truth is spread thinly in the boring stuff that doesn't interest the common man.

To be honest, they don't even tell each other the truth in government. They are all self-serving, manipulative, greedy, self-righteous b*st*rds.

Now, let me just say that I've got no soft spot for any government anywhere in the world. I haven't seen a single one that runs true to its people's wishes - except maybe the Swiss, but I have nothing good to say there either. So everyone sits in an equal light in my eyes. What is true is that all leaders say things to their people to serve their own agendas. You can't just go around deposing governments because they say things you don't like. How long ago would the US have been tossed to the ground and bloodied had that been the case? Why do you think they need such a huge arsenal as they have? Bullies need to protect themselves. That's why things are they way they are. People don't respect each other. One is always right and everyone else is wrong. Who doesn't think that way? But if every person in every nation knew exactly how their government works and why they do what they do and what they do that you have not the slightest inkling of, I can tell you definitively that we would all topple our own governments and look at each other through different eyes.

We are all being played in this game. We are aligning for reasons we have not the tiniest clue about. We are all hating for no good reason at all. Ignorance is not a good reason, it is only a reason.

Think, learn, read, understand, realize, discover, comprehend, define, and at the end of that process you will see that we are all wanting the same thing at the end of the day. It is our leaders who keep us divided.

Where are we heading? Is there hope?

It would have been more effective to drop food parcels and gold bullion on Iraq.. No lives would have been lost and it would have cost less than the war.

It would have destabilized Saddam's control, won over the Iraqi people.. and preserved the infrastructure.

That would have been more effective at toppling Saddam than any military action..

It was the Israelis who surrounded the camps, set up roadblocks, and opened the gates to the Phalangists to carry out massacre for 48 hours straight. You know, that's all very nice logic and reasoning, but what you fail to understand is that you need to....

It's been this way since the beginning of time and will continue to be, because we are human. We will make the same mistakes over and over again because we're not capable of learning from our experiences due to pride, ego and the thirst for power.

Those who cry for world peace are wasting their time and would be better off living in their own little world away from the political scene. Erm...no government is truly good to its people. Well, maybe Iceland.

Certainly every country with a large population seems to treat their people with disdain and mistrust. I think we all deserve better than that, no matter where we are.

What I dont get is why does OBAMA have to act? Why do WE have to respond? Why do WE have to take any initiative? We do WE have to POLICE the whole world?

It sounds like the only hope is Obama....and if it takes long enough...he wont even still be in office. So then will it be the next President? Why always us?

I think that headline shouldve read "Its time for the WORLD to act". OBAMA's no savior of mankind as that portrays him. He has no real power in any long run and it implies he does.

He has some power for 4 years and thats its. Poof. The same reason secrets are kept from the Presidents. Because the country runs on forever...and the Presidents are only for terms of years and dont need to know the top secret-secret stuff that keeps our country moving.

We could all require our governments - every government in the world - to give the people the right to decide whether we feel war is in order. If everyone were genuinely informed as to what was really going on and why, I suspect none of us would feel that war and the "collateral damage" is justified.

For the few who really love nothing more than a good battle, there could be arenas set up for their kind to play their games. It would have no effect on the results achieved by peaceful resolution. It would only be for their kind. Let their mothers feel pride where the mothers of the peaceful would feel only sadness and profound loss.

The Earth is not our possession. We do not own her. We own only ourselves. We do not have to surrender our lives to the aims of unknown agendas and the actors behind them. We have the right to a peaceful lifestyle, if we so choose it.

Iran has made no violent overtures. Israel, the US, and the UK have done, however. Is Iran at war with anyone? Is Israel's army mobilized? Is the US's? The UK's? Hmm... The answer is, as you are on the verge of understanding, our country has been infiltrated and overtaken by a global banking cartel and their associated holdings. They work through the Federal Reserve, Council for Foreign Relations and international banking cabals (IMF, Bank of International Settlements). I'm not happy at the prospect of another 'just war', but this situation hasn't come to us out of the blue. The USA and Iran have history, especially since the fall of the Shah, but before then as well.

Why in the world would I start a thread to debate a subject with a person that finds it so difficult to be honest? I was talking about the Arab Israelis who live inside Israel, and you come back with some Boo Hoo piece about the border crossings between Gaza and Israel. They are hardly the same thing.

Israel doesn't have to let the Palestinians cross into Israel at all, but they continue to allow workers in so they can earn a living. So much for your "monster" Israeli theory. After the 20th or so suicide bombing, I would have closed the border completely until Hamas was gone. I would have told the Palestinian people, "Hey. You started this mess with Hamas, and when you have taken care of it - and you can enter Israel without blowing people up - then we'll talk about reopening the border. Until then, you made your bed; now lay in it."
