Yep. I was skeptical of Rand and thought her a bit extreme until recently. Her scenario is playing out exactly as predicted in that book. If it does go that way, I hope to be in the free market zone.

Otherwise, I'll be picking off the starving OWS hordes from my roof until the zombie apocalypse finally takes me down! The baby kittens will be the first ones to get eaten.

It starts off slow but gets better towards the ending.

Worth a watch and you really do see modern day parallels.

These are "angry Americans", with a laundry list of grievances.

Picking signs / youtube videos / media static here or there to characterize a large group.. is like looking at reality through a straw.

Opinions are like b-holes, everyone has a stinky one.. people in the streets are an amalgamation of your fellow citizens expressing their individual political / social passion. Overall one obvious message resonates: people are not happy with the direction the nation is headed.

The media will follow orders to characterize these people as tea this, occupy hippy that.. anything BUT people who are desire change from the current "leaderships course, ie both partys suck and its time .

I like the doublethink / up is down programming at work, how people are wired to blindly support one group over another... troops/protestors... When in actuality, its those dirty pot smoking hippys who are more defending your freedoms than dudes with guns 1/2 world away... blowing up Afghan farmers you'd never meet.

I think the 1% they speak of should be replaced with another 1% that doesn't hold more total assets than the larger but far poorer 99%. What does it matter though? You get it, you just don't want it.
