The law for permits for marches is already on the books. As it's a march it's not confined to one area, so the city must be notified so proper arrangements can be made. Luckily for the OWSers the city has been lenient on this law. Technically, they should have already had to be applying for permits for every march. But then again that just shows how the city has been accommodating towards the protesters so far, so we have to find a way make NYC the bad guy in this.

Bush gave the banks the bailouts.

en.wikipedia.org...

The Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) is a program of the United States government to purchase assets and equity from financial institutions to strengthen its financial sector that was signed into law by U.S. President George W. Bush on October 3, 2008. It was a component of the government's measures in 2008 to address the subprime mortgage crisis.

I really have a bad feeling that this is not going to end well for either party. I suppose in the end, something is going to have to give. I can see both sides of the story, and I wish there was some way for both sides to compromise on this but I really don't have a viable solution. Maybe, just maybe, there can be a way around this before someone gets hurt or killed. I just wish that the nation weren't as divided as we seem to be.

Wonderful...thank you. For your information, i have not and wont attend an OWS movement because i strongly believe change is coming anyways...its logical.

Yes people are wrong to perform those acts at your doorstep but lets be honest, if they "gotta go, they gotta go", they sure as hell ain't going to soil themselves are they?

Like i said earlier, i don't agree with the "mess", but they wont be removed under force because the whole thing will blow. The protests will grow exponentially at the brutality.

What i will say though is that i hope any of your children, or future children don't become passionate about being a slave in the system or they may very well find their parent cheering on the violent forced used on them or the support due from the parent turning into laughter and "i told you so's"...

Then you wont mind me making use of your letter box on the route home from the pub?

Not many (notice I din't say none), use the word pub, are you from America?

Being disrespectful?
Try being treated like human cattle for minimal wages, hired and fired to skirt benefits, having your job traded to slaves overseas because they have no wage security.

Defecating in public?
Try being defecated on by those who use the legal system like a weapon to suppress people’s rights to be free, to get an education, to make a living, hell to live. Being force-fed toxins because healthy, organic food cost twice as much as food that's been processed. Being bombarded by vaccines and medications that do more harm than good.

Being loud?
What part of New York isn’t loud? Americans are loud. The point of a protest is to be loud, to be heard, to make scene. If no one knows you’re there, you aren’t doing a good job.

And their message?

Yeah... they have no idea what they're looking to achieve in their little quest on Wall Street, nor does anyone else in the other 1,500 cities around the world in more than 82 countries. Completely wasting their time.

Sarcastically,

Very well said.

Amazing how the media is trying the paint the picture that they are unorganized and without a purpose.

Funny how an "unorganized" group could get enough people motivated without a "common clause" to the point where they are occupying almost every major city in every country. So disorganized it boggle's the mind.

You know what, I think your right. The American people should all probably go back home. Because everything is just so peachy right now. Why pick a fight? Nothing is ever going to change, and we deserve to be treated like cattle.

That's a sad existence friend.
Wake up

You don't have a right to come on my property and do what this trash is doing.Of course,I'm sure it's not every protester. If it's happening there, you can bet it's happening at EVERY 'ows' protest. As another poster s aid, these people don't work. If they did, they wouldn't have time to be protesting ALL DAY. Like I said in another thread, this is a fad. It's going to fade as fast as it came. Just you wait.

Wishful Thinking.
OWS is only the beginning, its momentum wont stop until positive change happens. The sleeping beast is awakening.

The whole "protesters are filthy and unruly" is the newest "angle" being used by the elite to find a way to get those not involved in the protests to side with the "authorities" so that they can go on a power bender and remove and bar these folks from protesting and drawing attention to the desperate situation our country is in. It won't work.

Note to elite scum sucking power brokers......you're time is up. Maybe if you step down from power and disappear to your D.U.M.B.S in Paraguay we won't come looking for you to enforce justice for all the murderous and other criminal activity you have been conducting for over a century now. Good luck and good riddance.

That's a pretty bold statement. So now all of the Wall Street Bankers are murders too?? Wow!! Call the District Attorney. Present your case. Any other groups you want to tag with the "murderer" label?? You can start with Obama.
His kill rate just keeps increasing 3 down and at least 4 more to go.

"All of these pissed of RESIDENTS must be liars.. "

A handful of strangers with unknown agendas, if any, complaining.. to be expected. MSM parroting status quo screed & inflating negatives into a big deal..yawn, yea of course. Discredit tactic.

Defecating allegation was my favorite, undoubtedly the offending loaf was examined and determined to be of hippy origin due to significant amounts of soy & marijuana.. lol.. not Purina.

This is sideshow nonsense.. an alleged pile of crap in NY is "news".. lol

"You are free to assemble..." then "Permits are in place".

Doublethink. New Yorkers rage..lol, a statistically insignificant number of people complained.

btw legally, no.. you are not free to "assemble" in mass because you need a "permit".. a "parade permit". Which requires approval, and often fees.

And who says "assemble" is temporary?.. a gathering for common purpose might require tents.. depending on the purpose.

as·sem·ble/əˈsembəl/
Verb: (of people) Gather together in one place for a common purpose. (Google define:assemble)

I'll post this one more time

A resolution passed by Community Board 1 during the meeting recognized Occupy Wall Street's First Amendment rights to protest and to assemble, and said it opposed the use of force by the city or by Zuccotti Park's owners to address the community's concerns.

But the resolution also called for protesters to help address the residents' health, public safety, noise and sanitation concerns.

Among the goals detailed in the resolution:

limiting the use of drums, trumpets, bugles and air horns to two hours a day, during midday;
arranging access to bathrooms off-site to eliminate urinating and defecating in doorways of retail shops and residential buildings;
removing police barricades that block access to homes and businesses

In a joint statement released Thursday, State Sen. Daniel Squadron, Rep. Jerrold Nadler, and Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer said the resolution "is an attempt to establish a sensible framework that respects the protesters’ fundamental rights while addressing the very real quality of life concerns for residents and businesses around Zuccotti Park."

"Protecting the needs of Lower Manhattan and the rights of OWS do not need to be mutually exclusive," the statement said.

www.nbcnewyork.com...
Sounds pretty generous to me.

In all honesty, they had better clean up that park soon before a wide array of fecal born illnesses begin to take hold on the already weakened protesters. Once it starts, its tough to stop as Zucotti Park turns into a giant petri dish. I would expect an outbreak of shigellosis within the week at Zucotti Park. I don't think there is a whole lot of hand washing going on after these folks poop on a doorstep.
