I am not sure. Maybe someone with a trained eye can explain this. Here is a screen cap of the capture video showing his profile of his face and NOSE. Now here is another picture of his profile face and NOSE. Look at the bridge line of the NOSE in these two pictures.

They look completely different. Just a thought..is this the wrong man?

No. I believe that we are funding even democracies in the Maghreb to be overturned so that the Islamists can hold all of it. That removing Moammar is a front for giving Islamists a resource rich capitol in Africa to fund their new empire.

Moammar being a dictator doesn't make me a supporter of an Islamist Empire.

But they'll be sure to sell even the removal of democracies as being some sort of victory for you.

It isn't.

No I don't think so. At least the world knew what it was dealing with him. We have NO idea what is coming to take his place. Will this turn into another extreme-islamic breeding ground?

Yes, ideally he should've been given trial I agree, though the circumstances surrounding his death are still for the most part unknown it appears he was caught armed as one of the rebels who caught him showed a gold pistol he said Gaddafi had on him when they found him. I'm sure we'll eventually get the truth as to what happened and whether he was found alive or dead.

However, it is too early to make judgements on whether Libya will thrive from removal of Gaddafi or whether there will be an internal power struggle. For the most part the priorities of the NTC should now shift towards some sort of normalisation and rebuilding, also preparing for a transition towards democracy once infrastructure is rebuilt.

The dictator, that was shaking the hands of US and EU politicians one month before the start of the war?

and most importantly an enemy to his own people is dead

You mean the 2 Million people of Tripoli who demonstrated for him on July 1st, 2011?

Oh and this thread is even sprinkled with the crybabies of OWS because it will steal their spotlight as flavor of the month.

It's also sprinkled with gullible fools, who believe all BS the MSM is constantly feeding them.

It looks like a match. His chin appears injured, but it's basically him or a convincing body double (imo). The hair is longer than I would have expected.

We helped liberate a country from its dictator, what's wrong with that?

Do you really believe that ???

With great respect , what if one country decided that YOU have a dictator , and to liberate you from that dictator , it will invade your country , it will bomb your house , it will kill your family , it will wash your brain hard enough so everybody will think that way , finally that foreign country it will be your master , much worse than "the dictator" ; everything will be much worse !
But ... you will be happy , because now is democracy , no more dictatorship ...

Are you suggesting that the world had it all wrong with Gadaffi? Do you believe that Gadaffi was a good man? Do you believe he should still be in power today?

"the world" only means some countries - USA - first , UK second and France . They were not attacked by Libya , so they had no right to attack Libya . It was an internal business, it should be resolved internal . Look at other african counries , some of them are fighting for decades.. Why US provides only "humanitarian" support ? because they don't have petrol !
Like in Irak case , what happened with weapons of mass destruction ??? Never find any of them ...
So , americans (and their allies) it robs that country . So, the ¨world¨ had it wrong .

it doesn`t matter if Gadaffi was good or wrong . it matters what he did for his country and for his people. And he did a lot of good things. Just search and you will be surprised ...
I was here more than ten years ago , and in that time , the Libyans people had a standard of living much higher than have my country right now, with so called democracy ...

I personally , i believe that he should be in power . But that is just my opinion. First , because he succeed to keep under control so many different tribes ... what will be next ? civil war , that is for sure . These tribes will fight each other for power .
This is chaos , and you want to tell me that this is good for Libyans people ???

Conflicting stories again!!!

Found in a hole or bombed by a convoy by NATO.

If he was found in the hole then he has been excuted by his own people.

If he was killed in an airstrike by a french fighter jet then it is just a defenceless excution.

I am sick to the stomach of ignorant peoples celebration of this murder.

Tony Blair has lost one of his oil mates today but at least he will make his money elsewhere.

This country will turn into a hell and we know where to point the finger.

Greed,oil,greed,oil,greed,oil..........and no other reason. SICKENING.

Enjoy his death all you bedroom computer freedom experts.

There is no conflict, but fools will turn their eyes away from the fact that our governments are supporting a mass take-over in the Horn of Africa while looking a "conflicting minutia."

NATO bombed his convoy. Which would stop the convoy, obviously. Then NATO backed off and let the "insurgents" wipe up. Moammar took cover in a drain. The Islamist Militants then took him out and filmed him before executing him in front of a mob.

No conflict. Just you being unable to piece together information.

No, these threads are like magnets to bigots and haters of all kinds, not to mention the mentally ill and sociopaths. News like this always draws them out.

We don't know who is posting here. Lots of propagandists for evil people post here all the time. Lots of people who hate freedom. People can even post from Prisons and Institutions.

Even though there is a clear video of the revolutionaries killing Gaddafi, they will invent their own version and use it for propaganda and to spread hate. That's what they do.

Compared to Obama, Cameron and Sarkozy, Gadaffi was an angel. He was not perfect but he wasn't bad like the Rothschild stooges in power aeound US and Europe. Those are the murderers. The Rothschild operated governments have killed more people than Hitler and in a short space of time.

RIP Gaddaffi. Hopefully your death and of your peoples upcoming deaths by the NTC and NATO cowards will be avenged soon!!

I agree that it started as an internal issue, the citizens vs Gadaffi's regime, but once the world found out about how the citizens were being killed and treated while protesting it became an international matter... I will not deny the fact that the US has certain interests that fall in the Libya region so it makes sense that they would be concerned with what's going on over there...

Life is strange.......If nobody would of stepped in and say Gaddafi would of just killed off, or imprisoned all the protesters would that of been okay?

These were not the only options.

Presenting them as if those were the only two options is a fallacy.

Ever seen a prize fighter a week before a fight, then see him just a few hours after? Gun shots and the butts of rifles can do a lot to change the shape of a persons face. Keep in mind that there was no referee to stop the fight in this case.
