Slowly but surely....
The manual modes on the camera are so expansive, it's gonna take quite some time...When I'm pressed, sometimes I'll cheat and switch to one of the
various auto-modes....But the majority of the images I actually end up liking are the ones I've set the appropriate levels for...
Well - This weekend I've been out of the house and getting some fresh air - Tomorrow I'll be going kayaking - Not risking taking the camera on that
trip though...lol
Yesterday two buddies of mine and myself drove to Tuscaloosa, Alabama to watch the Crimson Tide vs. MTSU game....
I couldn't even tell you how many convoys we passed on the roads heading south to the Gulf Coast.....For the majority of our trip - both to and back
- they flanked our sides - More relief is on its way thank god...
But spirits were high in Alabama! And I took a full GB worth of photos while I was there....Here are some of my favorites...
This one I played with a bit to make the red seats stand out a little more using selective saturation and an alternative b&w conversion method...
Yeah....I was in the nosebleeds - I had a "seat" at the very top of the stadium, and I do mean the very top...But I just chose to stand...wasn't
gonna bother anyone but the birds...
All the die-hard fans were big into their pom-pom thing...Us Seminoles just use our arms
*Does the chop*
The sunset painted the stadium with some very gorgeous light....Given the fact that it was beating down on me with a fury the entire first half, I
figure the least it owed me was the opportunity for this shot...
The recently overworked men of Alabama take a break during their security precautions to enjoy a few moments of the game - I tried to frame them
within the stadium and the American flag, but it wasn't gonna happen...
This is what an Alabama Wedgie looks like....
- Yowzers....
And I wanted to leave you all with this image....A beautiful sunset, a waving American flag, and thousands of Alabama fans making an enjoyable weekend
out of a horribly devastating week...They deserved a good game, and they certainly got one...Crimson 26, Tennessee 7
