I don't think the US is the center of the world, and to be perfectly honest -- I don't really care. Why should I? I am a lot more interested in being a good human then I am being a "good American."

The thing is, for some reason, people don't seem to understand that we are just normal a@# people, living normal lives....going to work, raising out families and just living life the best we can, and that is really our only concern. They watch the news and think all Americans are rich, fat, arrogant, politicians that want to take over the world lmao. It's the same mentality as a racist....ignorant.

If Science Fiction were closer to science fact; you would never see me scheduling a trip to England at Xmass.

On the less humorous side of things:

The only reasons I can think of for an visitation, outside of the very, very remote chance of aliens just stopping by on a benevolent 'interstellar rock tour'. Would be to either round us up for cannon fodder, steal something from us, or just exterminate us because we can't manage a planet worth crap.

If you knew America at all you would know that if they did land anywhere else that we would be there probably rounding up locals for "debriefing" and causing all kinds of mayhem. Cause that is what our government does.

I have the same fantasy about Jesus returning and telling the Evangelicals that "born again" really refers to reincarnation and that we all live thousands of lifetimes during which we purify ourselves.

Americans take great pride in trying to get along with each other. It is not our job to entertain the whole world.
You can watch Brittish, French, Italian, India, China, or Korean movies. I enjoy movies other countries and cultures produce. I do not become offended by their content. Although, I never cared for the German Nazi documentaries I had to watch in film history classes. Most Americans are never going to leave America and travel, therefore the thought or knowledge of other cultures is very minimal to the mainstream American.

Now where ever the aliens land... my sincere condolences if that doesn't go well. District 9 filmed to represent this senario in Africa. It was actually terrifying to watch. I think tolerance, patience, and respect need to be practiced on this planet by all peoples at all times. We all have to live here together. Might as well make it a fun time that is positive in life to pass on to the next generation of human earthings.

Yeah, it depends on where movie is made. We´ve had some humorous movies about aliens here in Estonia, where aliens land in Estonia. If they would really do it, it would be hilarious. I can´t even imagine the faces of the leaders of big countries

Id rather them land elsewhere also, I need time to prepare and keep my loved ones safe, besides I have aliens all over the state im from but they come from Planet Mexico.

I would hope they wouldn't land in America and I am an American! Considering how aggressive our military and some gun toting Americans are, they would probably be shot before any questions were asked. I would think if they wanted to make contact, they would land in a neutral country like Sweden.

It's only 'Always America' because you read English speaking websites and watch English speaking films. Do you follow Mongolian cinema? Read the Russian UFO websites? Who is to say they don't have a completely different perspective and assume that Aliens will be making contact with them instead?

Perhaps you're just sick of hearing it from Americans, and that's your business. But If the US had not invested so much time, energy and money in space research, we'd have missed out on a hell of a lot of important information.

The planet is covered 2/3 in water. The two biggest nations on the remaining third are Russia and Canada

Therefore, the chances are highest they would land in one of those 2 nations, if not just landing somewhere in the ocean to observe us.

Basically, if I were in command of an Alien fleet ment to establish first contact with this planet, I would carefully observe from a distance, like one of Jupiter's moons. Then i'd send a probe that looks like a human satellite and have it scan the surface for military installations. Then drop a couple AI robots in synthetic human bodies, or even abduct an intelligent human and tell them what's happening and that they need to tell us what they know and who we should talk to.

Something like that.
