As an American, I needed to at least offer that many of us, certainly including myself, do not care where as long as it happens and is not buried in the media. The US has done so much to alienate itself from the rest of the world and to instill a great degree of mistrust, such an incident as landing in front of Buckingham Palace would be well deserved. In fact, perhaps the only way to rub it in better would be for them to land, get out, say they've been watching us for many centuries, and since the king of the whales was busy, they thought they'd pop in for some tea with the upper class.

Or maybe in the middle of a jungle somewhere, but hopefully the point is made that not all Americans believe we are superior by birth in any way whatsoever. I should add that we have often times squandered away our undeserved prosperity and I respect any and all who have not had such an easy way of life handed them. I just hope I can find the best possible means for me personally to give as much as I've been given.

This deployment is accredited with BREAKING THE BACK AND THE BANK OF THE FORMER SOVIET UNION. The Berlin wall would not have come down if this deployment never happened...still....although I have respect for anyone who is anti-nuke....the protesters in Europe went too far.

You have to understand what kind of person leaves his home in the U.S....leaves his family.....spends all of his life in a state of secrecy and the mental wounds this cause last a lifetime....all so that he can protect people in ANOTHER COUNTRY HE DOESN'T KNOW....and get spit on and have red paint thrown on his home in the U.S. because he is high ranking and his name was public so some smart protester tracked down his family and pulled that awful crap.

Of the considerable number of Military people I know.....NONE OF THEM WANT TO GO TO WAR! Thanks Steve. I know my post was a bit long...so i appreciate you hanging in there to read it. I know a few things by job and family and I know some VERY GOOD PEOPLE....who are PATRIOTS of an order that the ordinary person will never understand.

I know it is everyones right in this country to say what they will....but sometimes....I just have to blow off steam. It is good for a country to have it's citizens question everything....but for some of you out there....have the COURTESY to at least do some research before labeling these people....people who in my opinion....should be given a freekin' TICKERTAPE PARADE and FREE BEER FOR LIFE!

I know that there is alot of screwed up things that go on in the U.S. and this has everything to do with POLITICIANS AND MONEY! But at the same time....the U.S. Military and it's soldiers....as well as the "CIVILIAN" aspect of security of who I know very well because some are family...do more good in A SINGLE DAY....than most of these HATERS will do with their ENTIRE LIVES!

And these SOLDIERS and "CIVYS" that some hate so much....give so much of themselves on so many levels including their families GIVING on an emotional level that breakes my heart. Meanwhile....some uninformed ASS who's greatest contribution to the World was donating $5.00 to Jerry Lewis on Labor Day which they never made the payment when the bill came in as they decried....IT'S ALL A SCAM FOR THE DOCTORS AND LAWYERS!.....then comes on ATS and while sitting in a commfy chair....starts slamming a friend of mine who is lying on a bed of granite....12,000ft up in the cold....looking down the scope of a 50cal sniper rifle....and STILLL has to call in to get permission for a kill shot even after witnessing some scumbag Taliban beheading a little girl because she went to school that the Army Corp. of Engineers built....and the Taliban would never want an EDUCATED WOMAN!

We're all the human species, and ET would be visiting and addressing all of us and i'm pretty sure there's more than one ET craft...why not every major city, in every country on the entire planet all at once?

I think you'll find that concerning actual abduction reports, america (as in USA) is not a majority destination.

But don't worry, word on the alien street is that they've surveyed our planet and summed up the major problems as being war, and the fact that half the population is miserable and starving, so I guess we shouldn't expect a major public landing anytime soon.

I think though regarding your point, it probably started with the War of the Worlds film talking place in 1950's America instead of Victorian England...
