At weekly prayer rallies, the Islamic clerics have the crowds (they dont have to make them, they do it quite willingly), chant "Death to Israel! Death to USA!", over and over.

You dont have to believe me, you can find one of many videos online showing this phenomenon. These are not the actions of a stable, peace loving government.

I couldn't agree more. Thank you for providing evidence of what has been stated on this site many times regarding the Iranian regime's not so hidden agenda towards the West and Israel. In fact, Iran was openly opposed to the Palestinian bid for U.N. recognition of statehood because it recognized any semblence of an Israeli state at all.

Unfortunately, many of the Ahmadinejad supporters don't understand or realize that the man is obsessed with ushering in the 'end times' scenario to facilitate the return of the Mahdi, in accordance with Islamic prophecy. It is no wonder that the U.S., Saudi Arabia, Israel, and many other nations are vehemently opposed to any sort of nuclear proliferation program in Iran that might lead to the development of WMD.

Yes I'm not saying there aren't anti American/Israeli extremist in Iran.......but what I am saying is that the leadership haven't actually said that they would use nuclear weapons against the US or Israel......that is an entirely different thing.

Although i have a feeling Israel will end up attacking Iran, i dont think Israel will be "decimated" because of it. I think Israel has some supernatural cover which apparently the Arabs/Muslims in '67 didnt totally learn.

Aside from that, i dont think it will be a "nuclear attack" that will leave portions of Iran a "radioactive wasteland". I thnk it will be a tactical missio to take out Irans nuclear facilities.

The real danger will be a PR one. This attack, if ever it does occur, will result in the collapse of the Global economy and the demonization of Israel by the world community; America included. First of all, I was under the assumption this thread was initiated due to the assumption that Israel was attacking Iran because of the Alleged terrorist attack and assasination plot on a Saudi Ambassador here in the United States.. Obviously the thread was NOT started with the question "What do you think about war, is it stupid for us to defend ourselves or another country from a possible Nuclear attack?" With that being said, I have to tell you that I would never state that it is "stupid" for anyone to defend themselves, and would support my country if it was to initiate any type of conflict to prevent this type of action, or for our own survival.
Second of all, I do believe that this world has the scientific means for energy, and it doesn't have anything to do with horses and boats. Man you just take things to an entirely different level to make your point, completely ignoring anything and everything inbetween.
I doubt that this country or any other will ever begin to utilize the vast majority of alternative and renewable energy sources as long as people continue to live in fear of returning to the 19th century way of life. I simply would love to see a change in the mindset of those who think life without the dependency of oil is such a scary and ridiculous idea????.
