My wife, who was my girlfriend at the time, was involved with Code Pink and other hard left organizations. Today she is much like me. Tired of the left wing tactics. Tired of her Hispanic immigrant husband being called a racist for being a Tea Party member and not supporting illegals. Tired of her husband being called a murderer and a baby killer for choosing to protect this country...Simply tired of Obama's lies and the doublespeak(as our lefty friends like to put it) of the very minions who reject the moniker of Socialist or Communist and yet defend the failed systems, the murderous systems, at every turn.

Simply tired of the hypocrisy and the lies. Hiding from history and distorting it at every turn. Because if they ever figure out that it has and always will be the left that perpetuated racist policy in the US-from Jim Crow to the racist zoning policies of the PROGRESSIVE ERA that gave birth to the ghetto we know today, that took over Europe igniting WW2, with national socialism and communism fighting for the control of the proletariat, their heads would simply cave in.

But you do not take into account the lies of the right wing.

How about allegedly being for fiscal discipline, but continually bashing the left for something the right
never achieves? In fact that right goes farther, blames debt they help create entirely on the left and
ignores their huge hand in the budget. That is the same lie the right wing feeds off of, I don't have the
adacity to pass off lefty failings on to conservatives, but you guys are shameless. Like a tough guy
who uses manipulation to seem better than he is. Whats up with that? Or how about pointing out that
democrats grow government, but ignore the fact that conservatives do the exact same thing.
Ronald Reagan, the poster boy of conservatism has failed by every measure of conservatism, yet
he is not disparaged like the left is. So you are, just like many of us, a giant hypocrite, but with a giant
ego too.

How about you stop lying about Jim Crow???

You are depicting Jim Crow as a liberal policy because the Democratic party enacted it.
But your narrative fails and turns into a LIE when you fail to mention that southern culture
is conservative in nature, you plant a big fat LIE. I suppose hippies, pot smoking are popular
in the South??? Are you also trying to get us to believe that southern culture is pro federal
government?

The fact is, the 60's equivalent of these OWS kids were the ones out their getting beaten while
marching for civil rights. My liberal parents and their liberal friends would take the time to
drive down south and get arrested. So go spread your lies in somewhere else...

Conservatives don't interfere, they sit there and demonize the left like you do, but god forbid
you guys ever try to do something good for people. You demonize FDR, but you ignore that
Hoover said said, "No one is going hungry," while millions of Americans were starving,
while private charities were striped of resources. So you get mad when someone stepped
up, but you didn't bother to step up yourself, just like civil rights, just like healthcare rescission,
just like slumlording, woman's voting rights... blame the people who try to help make things better,
but ignore the grievous injustices that are gone no thanks...

And today they threaten to start a revolution of the so-called "99%" and we wonder where we fit into this revolution. Are we, their fellow Americans, the enemy? It seems so. Since they keep calling her, and myself lackeys of the "1%" simply for not agreeing with their far left wing ideology.

It is not "far left" ideology to think that this country is suffering from massive corruption. You, your
friends and the media are creating stories to paint everyone as loony, just like the tea party if
you recall. IF you are effectively protecting the banks, instead of offering an alternative that
will actually curtail the banks infiltration into the government, then please feel free to share.
Otherwise, like all the other things you hate, you are gonna have the left draft the entire response
and then cry 100 years later, just like Hoover sitting on his ass and civil rights to name a few.

We, like I said on page one, are the 53% of Americans who work for a living, love this country, and wish to preserve the foundations it was built on.

You sound like a snob, sorry... This country was not founded on systemic corruption was it?
But again, just sit there and pretend nothing is wrong here in America.

by creating giant mobs of useless eaters, all to eat the fruits of the labor of the productive so that they don't have to feel the discomfort of their failure anymore.

Oh thats right, hard working Americas are failures, gotta love those banks, protect em!

Yeah the Constitution is a real downer!!!

Constitution, Constitution, Declaration, Constitution and just for fun

Bill of Rights

Not great troll food but sustaining non the less

I will even offer salt and pepper

YOU DON'T HAVE A MONOPOLY ON THE CONSTITUTION AND THE BILL OF RIGHTS.

Most Tea Partiers DO NOT UNDERSTAND EITHER.

Funny thing is... people like you have historically railed against groups like the Civil Liberties Union...

Just a few years ago you railed against "hippie/liberal/commie/terrorists" who remarked upon the unconstitutionality of the Patriot Act, suspension of Habeus Corpus, undeclared/unending wars, and corrupt corporate/Capitalist takeover of our government.

Although I am an Anarchist, I do Admire the constitution/Bill of Rights... it's not YOURS ALONE simply because you attach "IT'S THE CONSTITUTION" to every one of your completely unrelated stances.

What a lot of these people don't realize is that not so long ago I was a hardcore left winger. People like centurion1211 could attest to that. I even supported Barack Obama for the presidency in 08. But unlike my fellow left wing counter parts, I was never anti-capitalist, I was never anti-gun, anti-profit, or anti Wall St.

What changed in me? Watching the Liberal left I supported become a huge conglomeration of whiny entitlement peddling brats who threaten revolution, and call racism, and use mob tactics as a means to effect change in the system.

I got tired of it. You could say I GREW THE HELL UP.

No... you probably never had a mind to begin with. You probably never delved deep enough into the issues to get a firm grasp on what you believed, that's why you were so easily swayed. I've never heard of a truly intelligent person switching sides unless they were driven by selfishness and callous cynicism against humans and the environment.

that sure was the pot calling the kettle or what is better known as hypocrisy.

Wrong, I constantly question my beliefs, but I haven't been given a good reason to CHANGE them. I have changed my mind in the past when confronted with undeniable facts. I am ALWAYS open to changing my views, but what I see here is a VAST amount of brainwashed ignorance, I'm very serious, and I don't care how sure you all are of it, you're so wrong I can taste it.

I see what you're saying.

I, for one, have listed a volley of bank regulations that I believe are IMPERATIVE to the safety and soundness of our banking institutions as well as restrictions on what government can do in order to maintain bank stability.

I'm not ANTI-regulation. I'm for regulations that make sound business possible and bad business is minimized.

You can never get rid of corruption. But you CAN minimize it.

That's what OWS IS ADVOCATING!!!

A Progressive can be conservative or liberal....matters not...Progressive is not associated JUST with the Democractic Party.... It likes to play in both yards so the natives never get wise. Anyone clinging to my side (left or right) is good and the other side is evil is just buying into the BS....

There is only ONE Party in the US today, it is a beast with TWO heads, nothing more

IF these above words are true ... then make an effort and learn something ...
not sure if you can handle the truth, but, if you think you're ready ...
start with some facts ... here ...

Origins of "Jim Crow" laws
“One of the strangest things about the career of Jim Crow was that the system was born in the North and reached an advanced age before moving South in force.”
--- snipit ---
Discriminatory laws were comon in virtually every Northern State as of 1860. In 1847 Ohioans prohibited the settlement of the 518 emancipated slaves of the Virginia statesman John Randolph. An Ohio congressman threatened that if any blacks tried to cross the border into Ohio, "the banks fo the Ohio River...would be lined with men with muskets on their shoulders to keep off the emancipated slaves."

The only Northern States where blacks were permitted to vote were Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine; and even there they were intimidated out of showing up at the polls. Only 6% of all the "free" blacks in the North lived in these States, however; 94% of all Northern blacks did not enjoy the right to vote as of 1860.
--- snipit ---
Illinois Senator Lyman Trumbull explained that "there is a great aversion in the West---I know it to be so in my State---against having free Negroes come among us. Our people want nothing to do with the Negro."
emphasis mine

IF you get past the first page, please do us the courtesy of stopping back and apologizing for your ignorance and Southern prejudice. you sure sound more like a divider than a uniter ... after all, right or wrong, we are all in this together. (unless you prefer segregation)

edit to add: it is minds like yours that seriously impede any form of progress.
if you are not going to learn your past, how can you prevent repeating it?

Everyone is forgetting one important thing here. The objective here was to become 100%. Whole unit.

All i am reading here is more division.

Everyone should remember the 1% didn't bail themselves out the government did.

Huh? So why march on DC. Impeach Obama, and recall all of congress and state reps. That might make a difference not turning neighbor against neighbor. Never a good idea.

I am for 100% unity.

I am also very much for unity. I do not see it happening anytime soon though, due mostly in part to our government controlled public education system

Until the current generation realizes you can not just steal from people who have broken no laws, but rather prosecuted the crooks and correct the laws.....

I think we are doomed

We all see the same problems. We just have different solutions. And that's where the arguments lie.

We all have a preconceived notion on how to solve the ills that have befallen us.

If we start off on the same path, we can go further as 100%.

Lets start.

I would like to ban bicycle pants and olives.
Both have no real value to society. Both can ruin a good martini.

See? We can find common ground.

As I see it, they have to first pull themselves up to be able to move forward. But instead lots of them are sitting in the dirt parroting a single leader who is telling them they deserve to be carried
