This is what keeps the major corporations in business. The unions get powerful then the corporations are to big to fail.

That makes no sense. You have the cart pullin' the horse here!

It seems that way but things are not always what they seem. My point is that the corporations only have the power we give them.

I went to the "We Are the 99%" in Lexington, KY today and it felt great.

The one thing that I am really worried about is this whole thing being hijacked by someone or some group. Like when the Tea Party started out as a grass roots movement that had no party affiliation but then all of a sudden chodes like Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck and other cancerous people started speaking for the Tea Party.

Awesome!

Did you make it into my photo of the protest?

Come post in my thread too. I'll be out tomorrow to make ongoing photos and reports!

I think that this movement is rebirth of the original Tea Party which go hijacked by CFR puppets.

The Tea Party, like Occupy Wall Street is a groundswell protest from the people over the injustices being wrought by the politicians on behalf of the corporate and bankster interests they represent.

Are you afraid of this being hijacked by the unions?

I'm not in the Union anymore because I don't feel I have to pay dues to insure my occupation and so far so good. But unions aren't bad things, they have helped many people including myself learn on the job without taking huge school loans. It excited me to read that people are joining in to support the protest!! I live in California but I would be there if it were possible, hopefully they will have a supporting protest somewhere local to where I am. I can't think of a place in The Bay Area to protest that would have any effect like the wall street protest. Does anybody know if the TransNational Bank in San Francisco has anything to do with Wall Street?

There's a main branch of the federal reserve in SF...

Why would I be afraid of that?

There is a lot of pro and anti union sentiment in here, with cause on both sides.

But if there were no unions we would be much further down the road than we are now. Unions standing up in protest helped get my grandfathers out of slave like situation working in mines in eastern KY...

You used to owe everything to the company and company store, and were a used and abused product. A situation we will soon resonate with again if we allow the current trend to continue!

How soon we forget what labor day really stands for... it was part of the governments attempt to quiet the people when they then, like now, became so enraged of the injustices stood up and didn't take it any more!

If we allow these corporations to act with impunity we will find ourselves back in the middle ages bowing to our lord banksters and majesty corporations!!!

@doctornamtab, we haven't had Capitalism in this country for 100 years or more, other than on Mainstreet. Plutocracy and Corporatocracy are NOT Capitalism.

Capitalism is, literally, folks with an idea for a business risking their own money to bring the idea to fruition. There are millions of Mom & Pop enterprises all over the country, that are defined as "Capitalist" enterprises... i.e. someone put up capital to try and create a business that makes more than it spends.

Even some bigger companies may still embody the idea of forming capital and making a go of it.

Avarice and greed are just that... Avarice and Greed.

Unfortunately, there are far too many corporations that claim to be "Capitalist Enterprises"... but in truth, they are being given unfair advantage because of their cozy relationship with government. They're hiding behind the word, "Capitalism".

In truth, there is another word for them... "Fascists"

What a pack of lies you all need to source and fact check better.

I was at daily kos looking for the lead posts story because no link was posted and there is not one blog or news related incident claimed by vitchilo that the largest union was joining.

It seems to me with all this Union support and massive numbers coming out that it's just what TPTB wanted. If people think Toronto was bad, wait until you see what New York does to these poor people.
I sincerely hope it all goes peaceful. My thoughts are with you all in these trying and challenging times. Be safe folks.

Can you say the spirit in our fellow humans has not died and will not ever die.

On behalf of the NYC Metro area,

Thank you all for your continued support for us and as you stand with us we stand united with you!

If this was the union from the 60 years ago, I would be stoked but look at the leadership of the unions now. They have become too corrupt with power and are in bed with the president. So basically this is the way I see it. Obama saw what the tea party did in 2010. If the unions get involved with the protests, Obama will ride that energy right back into the white house for another term plus thats another movement controlled by the globalists. Tea party and union members are both full of people that care about this country but those in charge are playing the people. All I'm saying is looking back through history, those really in charge will play on both sides to get what they want.
