Where Are All The ELENIN Conspiracy Theorists Now?

If prophecy worked. Even 5% of the time. Even 2% of the time, then it would have been institutionalized and maintained and explored and examined by every government and every businessman in the world for it's entire history. But it hasn't been. It does return in Fads. Every now and again when people begin to forget or ignore how not useful it really is.

The history of prophecy is it's own proof that it isn't real.

I frankly think it is counterproductive and a little disingenuous to try and get "Elenin conspirators" to fess up, apologize, say "Yeah I was wrong"... and if they did could you even find it in this thread???? No. So what is the point? They were wrong. Nobody believed it anyway. Does anyone think a hanging in the town square is going to stop this from happening again...next week? Maybe even tomorrow? That is the nature of conspiracies. If they were true unequivocally - they'd BE FACTS!

Can we get on with life here?

I think gravity is still working but then again...still only a theory - It could go at any moment.

I absolutely agree with you, and that is actually what I should have posted. That's what I really wanted to say, but it didn't make it out of my head. I guess I focused on the part that annoyed me and not what I was thinking while reading the thread.

And I did it twice. My second post just above yours was intended to go on and state that because prophecy is a known false, there shouldn't really be 13 or so pages dedicated to it.

I still stand by the statement about facts and patting each other on the back though. It's just too prevalent around here.
It's one thing to want to be supportive, but you can't support every crazy thing someone says just because you want someone else to support the crazy thing you said. And that's what so all consuming about these forums.
Too many people willing to prop up someone else in the hope that they get propped up in return.

Science does not use theory to mean a wild eyed guess. It is a theory, a well established theory.

And gravity is still a theory of an effect that has no known cause.

And if one doesn't really know what causes the effect, then one doesn't really comprehend the problem.

And if one doesn't comprehend the problem, then the theory is a wild ass guess.

If the theory is a wild ass guess, educated or not, the theory is simply conjecture.

Until someone figures out what causes gravity, the effects are simply miracles that cannot be explained because one can simply say, God causes gravity, and no one can prove otherwise.

Gravity is an observed phenomenon. Newton described this phenomenon mathematically, and the equations produce excellent predictions.

On the other hand, what causes electrons? The Electric Universe theory is based on electromagnetism being the primary force in the universe. What causes electrons? What are they made of? Where does magnetism come from? How is it mediated? Particles?

What specific prediction did EU theory make concerning comet C/2010X-1's behavior? Was it accurate?

Comparing gravity to electrons is comparing apples to oranges. Gravity is an effect. An electron is a thing. If you want to make a comparison, compare things that are somewhat similar. We know what causes electromagnetism. We don't know what causes gravity.

EM is caused by the interaction of charged particles. Tell me what causes gravity? Could gravity simply be the effects of polarity similar to what makes a water molecule polar? I don't know. Do you?

The whole Elenin thing was riding on the earthquake correlation. That was the only strong line of evidence. The experiment indicates this correlation was a staggering coincidence so far. It doesn't mean the EU theory is wrong. It means Elenin didn't cause the earthquakes.

Regarding EU, If you have been watching Nasa, you would know that the Aurora Australis is glowing like the atmosphere is on green fire and Nasa says its because the Earth is electromagnetically connected to the sun. What theory does this support?

Regarding Newton. Yes, his work did provide for somewhat accurate predictions, but these predictions do not work well enough to be used to calculate satellite orbits today. GR is used because the results better match the observations. This indicates that Newton's work has limits and that his predictions are no longer valid for modern day use. His equations are obsolete.

And one day, Einstein's equations may be obsolete as well. It's just a matter of time until something better comes along. This is true for all theories even the dirty snow ball.

Then why believe anything? Even if one day EU hypothesis becomes a theory it too will be disproven one day. So why support it? We have to go on with what we have and so far the theories we have make accurate predictions. Could they be wrong? Probably. But why discount them before that's even proven? They serve their purpose and they drive the experiments that allow science to progress.

That is not a fact...What did that event have to do with Elenin? Or the end of October that you mentioned, for the matter.
There has not been any proof brought up yet to whether that was a meteorite or not. Am I mistaken? If so I would be glad to be proven wrong and shown that they have definitive proof of it.

It's possible that it could have been a fireball from space, i've yet to see proof of it. What does this have to do with Elenin though?

That's not what I did at all. Prove to me that it was a meteorite or something from space, also prove to me that it had anything to do with Elenin.

Quit with the cop outs. Show me proof.

I'm still here! Guess we we were wrong, sorry. Hope you didn't worry about Elenin too much, I didn't, even though I thought it had possibilities (and Elenin is not over yet, so it's not technically a done deal yet, so if you need me to, I well come back after 11/11/11 and apologise again for annoying those that can't stand this subject but keep reading it anyway.)
