Oh it's easy to understand, and I did have the impression that it was spirit led.

You have certainly helped someone today.

Thank you for your contribution to this thread.

People are smart. I have faith in them.

Sadly i wish i could say the same thing... i have little faith in men. Mainly because of their beliefs in the "good book"... people are blinded to the truth because of what their taught.... but everything is there to read if they would only open their hearts. Love will show the truth in all things... but again, without love many are lost.

This is why Jesus spoke in parables... because those that understand love... can also understand the parables he taught....

look, and see please...

11And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:

12That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.

13And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?

14The sower soweth the word.

15And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.

All men have the power to love, but many deny that power....Satan is the material world... the world of greed, hatred, lusts, envy, and mainly JUDGEMENT...

Your actions and your words show who you are...

So if you know love, let your colours shine

Hahaha, weak.....

no star for you....

But thats all it takes, because Love spreads like wild fire... Have you ever seen what a mustard seed grows into? The tinyest of seeds can grow into a giant plant... Jesus knew what he was talking about

The title of the thread already gave you an idea of what is this thread about, but you need to come and talk like that, why?

Are you looking for a fight? why? what is wrong with you?

There is no telling, how far, how high, or how deep, a mere seed of love can grow when placed back in the hands of God, as love, light, and life By human resources alone we can see that it simply, if not sadly and tragically, is, not, possible, and yet for God, relative to whom all things are possible, it's more than probable, it's a certainty. Why then has it not happened yet? Simple ignorance, and a faulty worldview or paradigm.

All the failures of the world, are a combined failure, in love.

So, what are we do be then, and what are we to do, if not to be, and to become, the very solution to the problem, where love is at cause?

Shall we all run away? Or should we grow?

Oh how absurd our predicament, Lord restore us, to love, and even humor, and good natured laughter, even if need be at the expense of our own absurdity, founded in our own ignorance or blindness.

Help us to see, and in seeing clearly again, as if for the first time, smile broadly, and laugh out loud.

Where love grows, hope abounds.

What does the Word say? When does it say we are given the Holy Spirit.

Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

The spirit is love as is God, and his son who taught the path of love... and set the example.

But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.

Pardon my cherry picking but that was a hard one to find

And im still looking actually, i know i had a great quote for you....but i can't find it.

Very close, Paul goes into detail about when the moment is we first receive the Holy Spirit.

Perhaps that is why i could not find the quote i was looking for... as you know i do not quote paul.

I just thought i might be able to assist you on what you were asking for

I think it's always the correct time to receive the spirit.

I can already see where you are going with this because of your personal warfare against the New Covenant.
Paul was talking to the Galatians who were gentiles but accepted the Gospel.
Judaizers came along afterwards and told them they had to keep the written Law.
Works is doing the things of the written Law.
Doing the things of the Spiritual Law is Faith.

That's quite the assumption and accusation is it not?

No because he is like a broken record (for those old enough to know what that is).

Well, yes, but the question was about when the Spirit is given.

Well, then by all means answer the question, it was asked to you anyway. And I certainly don't despise the new covenant, it's the only basis by which we are justified. It's the greatest even to ever happen on this Earth.

Paul was talking to the Galatians who were gentiles but accepted the Gospel.

Yep, they were believers.

Judaizers came along afterwards and told them they had to keep the written Law.

No, Galatians was written to counter the heresy of the Judaizers. Who had come to the church after Paul left, his letter to them was to combat their false doctrines.

Works is doing the things of the written Law.
Doing the things of the Spiritual Law is Faith.

Doing anything is works, key word is "doing". Faith is a belief, it's trust. It's not an action.
