I am curious to find out if there were any rockets launched that night. And still wondering if it can proven that these eyewitness videos were in fact shot that night (and not just a re-upload of something else). If the videos that look like a shuttle WERE shot last night, I have to wonder if a secret mission was underway to the down-sized ISS or a no-fly zone on the moon.edit on 17-9-2011 by DamaSan because: (no reason given)

Comparison videos are not proof. They are mere comparisons, and tenuous ones at best.
Have you supplied any Documentation proving this video is indeed a specific shuttle launch? I want documentation, not a "comparison video" which you feel super-sure about. I am not so sure, and with documentation which correlates the two than I will accept your explanation.
It's real simple. Provide actual proof.

Has anyone checked if there was a scheduled shuttle launch yet? (sorry if this has been posted, still working my way through the thread).

We are saying the YouTube video uploader used an old shuttle launch video, filmed from Florida, and tried to pass it off as being filmed in California on September 14.

I saw it with my own eyes when I was on 5 driving to San Diego. It was green and flew horizontally across the sky.
The visible light produced by a meteor may take on various hues, depending on the chemical composition of the meteoroid, and its speed through the atmosphere. As layers of the meteoroid are stripped off and ionized, the color of the light emitted may change according to the layering of minerals. Some of the possible colors and the compounds responsible for them are: orange/yellow (sodium); yellow (iron); blue/green (copper); purple (potassium); and red (silicate).

Even if we ignore the uploader's history (for the sake of argument, let's say it's inadmissible evidence)...
...that does not negate the fact that the by looking at the video comparison that 'gift0fpr0phecy did between the video in the OP and a video of a shuttle night launch look extremely similar -- similar enough for me (personally) to believe that the video in the OP probably WAS a shuttle night launch filmed sometime in the past in Florida and NOT an event filmed in California on September 14.
