No I am suppose to do whatever I want, you can judge a person over things like that if you want, but if I invested 10 hours a day into a bunch of hearsay and false reports, wouldn't that make me even more ridiculous?

Sorry I can't live up to your expectations, but I prefer to invest all of that time into actually reading the entirety of more scientific or philosophical threads of greater significance.

I did not intend to even post in this thread more than once, and was drawn into by replies from other members. I realize now that was a waste of my time, but that is ok. I still got my work done yesterday on time and that's what matters to me. Everything else is free time which I spend here at ATS.

There is no reason to make this personal. And I will forgive you for that, and I will avoid wasting time researching your past and showing you committing the exact same mistake you have pointed out that I made.

There are far worse posters around here than myself, you must admit. You did catch me in a mistake I concede, but I typically rely on people like yourself who did indeed read the entire thread to update me on the progress so I don't have to spend all day reading about this one topic.

Why don't all you hoax-believers contact all the news stations that used this clip and misrepresented themselves? If you're THAT convinced and THAT concerned that a hoax has been perpetrated then you should do your due-diligence and point this out to where it matters! Television. Because a million people 'think' this is really what was seen on Sept 14 (as I still do)

Once again, if this is true then please do the country a favor and notify all the news stations that used this STS footage and passed it off as a Sept 14 sighting over several states!

I know there are large smear campaigns who go out and try to soil the film maker and the contents so to add confusion! They did this to Billy Meier, Ed Walters, Travis Walton, Betty and Barney Hill etc etc etc etc.

I am numb to debunkers. Especially when all of a sudden, you put in the film makers name into a Google search and every other hit is a debunked site!

Gotta do better than this in my book.

Here's what I think. I think if this OP video is a hoax it's a deliberate one to take our focus away from what really was taking place Sept 14 over California, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado and Texas.

Maybe a meteor did go by. Maybe someone did upload a STS footage. I don't know. I wasn't there. But there are way too many UFO videos emerging from that night.

Since when can someone film a flying meteor for almost 2 minutes???

Whether the Florida person whose video was first posted in this thread, was a fake or not, does not take away the eyewitness evidence from other people - That an unidentified flying object was frolicking about in Earths atmosphere on the night of Sept. 14, 2011.

The California missile UFO was Nov 2011. Sorry. I missed it by 60 days. Shot me!

This thread is getting a lot of attention whether you agree with the OP video or not.
It's ironic, even if this IS a hoaxed video (which I am not convinced of yet) it brings more attention to the matter than perhaps, without it!

The video (although that was the gist of this thread) is really not what's in question. The question is this super-sized, super active, super colorful, super busy meteor zig zagging object was really 'just a meteor'

The official statement is (get this): It was probably a meteor!

So there ya have it. If an official statement can contain the word 'probably' then I have every reason and right to say the OP video is probably a real capture of Sept 14th's sighting.

The September 14 sightings were not a hoax, but the video that was included in the OP smells like a hoax.

1. NONE of the other eyewitness accounts are anything like what was seen in that video.

and

2. It has been clearly shown that the video on the OP looks VERY similar to a night time space shuttle launch (or possibly another kind of rocket as 'muzzleflash' has asserted, although the space shuttle video is remarkably similar.).

So based on the 2 points above, I'd say the video in the OP is very fishy, and quite probably a hoax. It is my opinion that the video in the OP has nothing to do with the September 14 sightings.

BUT -- like I said, that doesn't mean theSeptember 14 sightings were a hoax. People did see something, and some of the eyewitness accounts plus at least one of the videos (the one from the Arizona baseball practice) are very indicative of a meteor -- although there seems to have been more than one sighting.

I suppose the question I have for you is why are you so convinced the video in the OP is NOT a hoax. I've read the eyewitness accounts, and that video matches nothing the eyewitness have said, but it DOES match a rocket launch....

...So why are you defending it so passionately? You must have some specific reason why you think this video has anything at all to do with the September 14 sightings.

Witnesses have so said they saw a bright light with a reddish tail to it. Also it was described as blue and orange and green and yellow.

But besides that; this below is enough reason to question it!







A meteor alone is NOT what was seen on Sept 14th.

Now whether the OP video was done to taint this story and detract from the credibly is one thing but once again, I do NOT know what the OP video is from except to take it for face value.

We are confusing matters up right now and that is really a pity. l posted a video/thread about a San Antonio AMAZING sighting that night and it is being joined together with a Ballinger Texas sighting which I feel were two different sightings. Just like what took place that night in the southwest. This was NOT one meteor sighting. In fact, I question whether it was a meteor at all.

I'll answer that honestly. I don't want it to be because I don't want the events of Sept 14 to be dismissed.
Because once people feel this might be a hoaxed video (which I am honestly, not convinced of) they'll poo-poo the whole evening.

September 14th is turning out to be quite a WTF kinda evening. And if ONE video is going to ruin it for all the others then I have a problem with that. But like I said, I am looking at this as NOT a meteor event.

One or two or three of these objects were described as moving very slowly, In fact hovering.
It was further described in some reports as a white/bright light with reddish sparkles. Much like the OP video.

I am almost sorry I put up that video because the last thing I want to do is defend a hoaxed video which will directly dismiss this (to me) important mass sighting event!

So you have a video of something bright. now what? Seriously, what is your objective? beat people into submission to admit it is "something worth looking into" what is there to look into? a video of a bright object. OK, so that's what it is. It is not zip zagging, it is not producing gravitational lensing effects, it did not cause a whole bunch of black helicopters to show up. there is *nothing* else to investigate besides the video. But if I am wrong, and there is more, then please share it.

Well, I don't know about all of the eyewitness accounts, but some have described a green fireball streaking across the sky, and then there is this video:
