Those ideas were very basic in nature and did not confine themselves to an age demographic.
It was more like those that were racist, versus not racist. And those that were for equal treatment, versus not equal treatment.

No but people who are older have the values of their time period. Older people hold onto racism and sexism more than young people. Old people hold onto capitalism and representative democracy more than young people. You can see which views are fading in society and which views are rising.

This is debate.
Look, lets use this as an example.

I despise adults that prey upon children. I would take great satisfaction in torturing someone that has harmed a child.
Now, do I look down on the process for them to have a fair trial? No.
Do I want the police to plant evidence, to make sure that the trial goes the right way? NO.
Do I want the process to play out and work how it was set up? YES.

The process is still innocent, until proven guilty.
This is not mod rule.

Doing the right thing, the wrong way is still wrong.
If the banks did something criminal, then it needs to go through the process. Without exception.

Rules just don't apply sometimes, it has to be all the time, even the bad times.

You know, well...some of you know...i was born in Cuba. As a child, i remember going places and no matter what time it was, you could see five or six men gathered playing Dominoes....Across the street, another crowd talking about nothing in particular. I had a working father so i was one of the "haves", only two classes, haves and have nots.
There was never a shortage of people shooting the poop everywhere. Craps, card games in every corner. I remember looking at them and seeing them as a lower element.
I never ever heard of anyone passing away of a heart attack. EVER. Way of life maybe?
This thread has reminded me of how simple life can be and i have seen it with my own eyes. Those people had a much better quality of life than any of us, i'm assuming now. They knew how to live. Always ate, had a very poor roof over their heads but enjoyed life to the max.

My communist ideas of the free market. I actually haven't said anything about the free market except that you claimed that it came as a "Con Job" from Regan, which is not so.

I'm for a market with reasonable regulation. I'm also for limited legislation that is not nit-picked - meaning that there are few rules but playing dumb on the part of corporations and individuals is punished, good behaviour rewarded. You don't need every little thing defined. Regulation is a minimum standard, coming in under the bar as a punishable offense.

Ok, let me try to explain something, in regards to my signature thread.
Just because I have that, does not in turn mean I love the Military, or agree with the current wars.
The Military to me, is not the Govt Agency. To me, it is my military brothers and sisters.

I have asked for criminal proceeding, that have come back with a guilty verdict, as I still believe in the laws that are in place, for trials.

If you have posted links to such things, then please, entertain an old Vet and show me again.

As for credibility? You think I value ATS Cred, over what happens in real life?
