Maybe im wrong or gravely mistaken but i have yet to see any proof that his original thread was a hoax. i have a great deal of respect for S.O. and i think he is a very knowledgeable person but his word saying it was a hoax is just not good enough for me. I need some sort of tangible evidence. Though i must assure you that my back side is still on the fence about DK's original thread i still just need proof.

Evidence? I guess some of you can't see what is right in front of you. If you're going to take DK's words over SkepticOverlord, well, I guess I can't help you any further. The slogan is to "deny ignorance", not embrace it.

I find it pretty absurd that this would be the end-game for a thread like this. I think the reason most people get on a site like this is that the words "because I said so" have lost all meaning. The ignorance here is not knowing anything about the accusations other than they have been made.

DK didn't like hearing that, so he went off on the mod, me, and told everybody on ATS that he hopes we die in the dark knight, etc etc.

The only thing that can be said about DK, is that he was a hoaxer with multiple accounts, and I know this for a fact.

Everybody is entiled to their bouts of infuriated rage and everybody is entiled to however many accounts they want to make (big whoop), I hardly see how it affects validity of any claims made...
While witness testimony can be a strong case to present, all I see are blatant accusations with no proof.

In regards to the IR thread he never faultered on anything(that I could find), so what if he has money-he did sell everything and that was like 4 years ago to be going back and forth with civilization according to him. So what if he couldn't convince every single person he knows to join him out in the woods for 4 years waiting on the end of the world. And so what if he may have taken pictures of birds and thought they were something else--none of this is outside the realm of possibilities.

Personally, I don't care either way--it was a nice read, but going back to what I said before--It goes for the thread itself and the reason it was put in [ hoax ]...'because I said so' or even 'because they said so' isn't good enough.

Thank you I'm quite new here--I only found the site about a month ago and thought to myself WOW! There is alot of awesome things to be had here-like the DK thread!

I havn't been around long enough to understand what really goes on here, but it does seem like some questionable things go on from time to time and I'm not sure what to think about it. All I can do is try to soak up some of the information I find and speak my mind when I see the opportunity.

Looks like I joined only 5 days before you did...lol. The DK thread was the reason I found ATS and in turn joined. Quite an interesting story to say the least! Most all of my free time, I find myself signing in..lol.

Some of us had a team of people to verify that he was a hoax. It wasn't just me working on this, it was other very reliable members, plus mods to figure it out.

I was PM'd by a member about this thread, telling me I should chip in on things, but I can tell it's all but pointless, as many of you don't even want to listen to simple facts. Oct 29th can't come soon enough........

The All roads lead to Rome thread was the clencher for me, which trying to find out what happened to the OP'er to that thread (and why he wasn't making new ones) opened a whole other can of worms...

The only reason I found this thread to be so compelling is the date it was created and all the recent threads surrounding possible connections to it so many years after...I mean, thats pretty good forethought if this person was a hoaxer.

Once again there are accusations and nothing to back them up with...I'm sure you have alot of interesting stuff about how you and your team of DK Debunkers reached your conclusion, but you certainly arn't sharing anything that I can find...pardon me if I don't go through the 20 pages of who knows what preceding this but I found your comments on the previous page to be the extent of what you've told in addressing these same questions with these same answers.

If all you have to say is;

2. He cursed at myself and others in a fit of rage.
3. He didn't convince his sister to wait in the woods with him for 4 years to await this 'doom'.
4. He had money to burn even though he sold everything he has.
5. He was in a different location than what he claimed to be in.

Then you are right I won't believe you, but if you have some actual evidence that wasn't just putting his character into question at best, then I would be inclined to take you more seriously. If you and your team came together and told your side of the story (possibly including testimony that he admitted to lying or something) although its more of a stretch (especially considering the bias in a debunking team) than actual evidence it would be noteworthy--to say the least.

The point of the matter is that you cannot prove that Dark Knight was hoaxing, lying, trolling or a similar descriptive term.

Why you have such an objection to the guys claims I'm not sure, other members even brought attention to your behaviour in Dark Knight's IR photography thread, I'm fairly certain someone actually stepped in and asked a mod why you hadn't been warned for baiting the OP....

For someone so smugly made up that DK's thread is a load of crock your still trying really, really hard to tarnish the guys name, why do you object so strongly if you don't mind me asking?

Maybe the 29th of October will come and pass like any other day but I've already mentioned my own personal reasons for my interest in that thread and I've also mentioned that this thread isn't about ridicule.

If you can't add anything interesting or productive then I'll kindly ask you not to add anything at all.

We're not supposed to share publicly the evidence we have against members here, you have to give it to a mod, and they'll decide on it after a few days. This isn't my first rodeo, I have to play by the rules.

In my humble opinion, and it is just that, I see nothing wrong with what DK did. I think in his mind, he believed it. Even if he was a hoax, he gave a good story and caused people to think. Is that not what this whole site is about? Thinking about things and not just accepting what is told, but judging for ourselves and making our own informed decision? I think there are some people here who's whole mission is to make others out to be false so they have a firm sense of superiority, "I told you so". There are some threads that so evoke heated debates, such as religion and politics. Prophesy or visions should not be one of those. Some people have experiences that convince them of something. Who are we to tell them, or bash them for what they are convinced is real?

I think there are lurkers here who never post because they see others with similar views get ripped a new one, and they don't want to be the recipient of it. As The X Files says, the truth is out there. If enough information is shared, maybe we can make a consensus of what is truly taking place. If we are missing pieces to the puzzle because someone is afraid of being blasted, then we may never know the truth.

When and who decided that the DK 'Confession' thread was a hoax.

It was not in that catergory when i first read it (not saying that it isn't a hoax. I hope that it is.) But that being besides the point, why was it moved there?

I remember a couple of years ago there being TV interviews in the UK on daytime TV and on the news about space ships a mile wide being seen by people and airline pilots and passengers. This is one of the things that made me interested in the DK thread. So why is it now a hoax when that at least was true?

I agree with you totally. The 2006 thread had a very defined date of 28th October 20011. The thread is not hoax till 29th October.

Captiva - I don't think the date was exact, just that it, (whatever 'it' might be) would begin there to around early 2012.


The date he gave was sort of 'Pirate Guide Lines'.
