“Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.”

Let's see, UFO means Unidentified Flying Object, something we can see, but can't identify.

God means something we can't see, but a bunch of stories people have been told since birth.

Although I am not and Atheist, but an Agnostic I stopped believing in Santa Claus around the age of 6, the stories just didn't hold up.

The God everyone is so sure on, probably doesn't exist. You're all confused. I am not an atheist.

The Aliens everyone is so sure about, probably don't exist. They're out there though, I know that, because we are here.

Everyone stop worrying about it, live your lives and love your loved ones. That is all that's really important.

I believe he had contact. Even the person who started the Space Program said we got help from Them

And is it an coincidence that Hitler thought Tall Hair Blue Eyed people was the Master Race. Possible contact with the Nordics? Who knows its a mystery.

If you like that then check out good old Jack Parsons and his involvement with Aleister Crowley and the occult orders.

Or operation highjump and the men who returned that shouted aliens and then suicided themselves.
(and how did they loose sooooo many ships/ planes?)

On a personal note I witnessed the phoenix lights walking home from piano lessons (ugh not a good choice for a gymnast lol hands were also miserably sore) with the mother unit.

The unsolved mysteries show that covered it even interviewed the lunch monitor from my elementary school and her daughter.

Actually I see God everyday..as soon as I open my eyes. I feel God is in every living creature in this universe. Yeah it is my personal opinion and one that i have now found others share as well. God is different things to different people. As we evolved as humans so did the accuracy of our history. Everyone of us is different and we due tend to group together as far as religion is concerned. So maybe it was easier for the people of contrasting beliefs to depict their God or Gods in a way that the society of that time could relate to. The funny thing about most major religions is that they carry the same principal lessons and if looked at closely (something I love doing) they have an awful lot of the same core beleifs just different deities as the "main character".

I haven't read all the replies, but I'm an atheist and I'll tell you how I feel about this.

There is a difference between believing in the existence of beings on other planets and a being that is omnipotent, omniscient, omnibenevolent, who created everything we see, aka a creator god.

Here's why I feel that way: We exist on this planet. Therefore, it is possible that beings exist on other planets if the right conditions were met for them to. There may be beings on other planets wondering if aliens exist, and the answer would be "yes" because we would be aliens to them.

I have never seen a being defined as "a creator god". Therefore I can't say it, or they, exist.

Again, creatures exist on this planet, therefore can possibly exist on other habitable planets. Creator gods, I'm not so sure about because I've never seen nor met one.

The three main religions of the world are one religion separated into of course three.
Christianity is the search for God.
Islam is the surrender to God.
Buddhism is the finding of God in the dynamic silence of meditation.
Search,surrender and discover.
The kingdom of heaven lies within.

Because there is absolutely NO proof that any God(s) of any religion actually exist. However there is evidence everywhere that suggests that there is alien life:

1) The almost endless amount of eyewitness testimony, videos, and photographs.
2)The math. There are billions and billions of planets in every galaxy and there are billions and billions of galaxies. You would have to be absolutely insane, ignorant, or stupid to suggest that there is no other life SOMEWHERE in the universe.

"I have been doing some thinking lately" - obviously not deep enough. As an atheist I'm going to give you my two cents. I believe in the existence of other worldly beings (aliens) because it is extremely logical, given that Earth is a mere spec of dust in this ever expanding universe. The fact that an almighty creator decided out of every planet in existence, it's going to choose Earth to send it's message. Seems a bit ignorant to me, besides that, religion has no logic and hinders man's ability to expand to our greatest potentials.

Overall, it's easier to believe in extra terrestrial life over an omnipotent deity that happened to make his son walk on water and all that crap. Thousands of planets; possible life = logical. Bronze age book full of hilarious fairy tales = illogical. I'm sorry if I offended anyone, but OP had the audacity to make a generalization of atheists.

I dont believe iun god, purely for the fact that i dont fear the realities of the world, and whats "out there". So i dont need to "fear a god" or believe in something bigger than my self.
I am an Athiest because there is no proof of a god, and even if there was what makes anyone think i would worship a god anyway? lol.

And as for Aliens, or UFO's, I have seen and experienced a many weird things, thats proof enough for me.

as for god?. Pics or didnt happen,

Ok, so what does UFO stand for?

You saw a disc, so was it unmanned, flown by aliens, flown by angels of god, just another skunk works project, product of your mind?

You have to put more thought into your thinking, explain god?

I believe in god - but not the make believe story's of the world religions - The separation of how ever many gods there are is the destruction of the human race - we are god - you are god - your soul will carry on - Religion is made up to divide the world - we need to focus on living life - and travelling the cosmos with in our selves -

I feel for folks who have no understanding of the next step after this vessel is distinguished, I feel as if I rest my mind in a higher place then those chained to make believe religions -

There is no category or denomination for me - I have found my answers -

I guess I'm just a modern day shaman -

I honestly can't comprehend why the idea of UFOs and atheism is apparently mutually exclusive. That type of belief is almost as silly to me as the whole train of "UFOs and aliens are DEMONS come to suck our souls out". I guess in some sense, the Christian God is incompatible with a belief of alien life; but even then, who are you to question that God couldn't create more than one species of intelligent life forms?

I think if there is an omnipotent creator sitting up there, He would consider it insulting that we thought He created this entire Universe and who knows how many others just for boring old mankind. We have followed this pattern throughout human history:

The Earth is the center of the Universe.
The Earth isn't the center, but the Sun is!
Oh frack, well, the Milky Way is the Center!
Or not.

I imagine first we will find evidence of non intelligent alien life first, probably on one of the moons of Saturn. Then, finally, we'll get the lever dropped straight on our heads, and our inflated egos about our place in the cosmos will be totally gone--we aren't the only species with intelligence in this Universe.

I don't BELIEVE in anything. Something either IS or it ISN'T. Either God exist or he doesn't. Either aliens exist or they don't. I haven't seen any evidence of God or aliens so I don't believe in either one. That doesn't mean they don't exist, they very well could. I just haven't seen any evidence of it. I personally haven't seen a UFO or an alien. The universe is a large place and I'm sure there are lots of things that exist that would freak us out.

You might want to look up the meaning of "evidence".
There is plenty of "evidence" that aliens exist.
Just no real "proof" yet.

But god, where is that evidence?
Ive seen really no evidence, and certainly no "proof".

Aliens, Plenty of "evidence".
God, Let's see that 'evidence'?

p.s.. this is not a post for "christians" to respond to..
I already know your answers, and I won't bother. lol
