Seems to be the PM, I think original reports were that he was due at Utoya today, it has since been reported that it was tomorrow. The fact a bomb was targeted at his day to day offices and Utoya seems to make sense. The overriding sentiment seems to be a political statement being made. I wouldn't be surprised if it was an immigration protest either.

If downtown hasn't changed much in the last two years I would say it is safe at night. Even if it has changed it is a 100% safer than most other city centres late at night.

If I'm correct, it has to be an extreme far right wing attacker. I'm not ruling it out with the time frame between both incidents.

No one has mentioned more than one dressed as a police officer on that island. I'm just hearing now he was seen in the city area. It makes sense.

Nothing like a false-flag attack to get the anti-white feelings stoked up I guess.
This whole thing has patsy written all over it.
My gut feeling from the start is that this will be used as a reason for cracking down on peoples freedom's and liberty's.
The suspect being native Norwegian will mean profiling by the Norwegian ptb will now include white caucasian in their actions.
He is without a shadow of a doubt a traitor to the entire people of Norway and beyond.

Sorry to hear this has happened to you Norway, you deserved much better, but the sick scum that control their footsoldiers are virulent and widespread now.
Nowhere is safe these days...

Maybe, Byrant was found guilty of the Tasmania massacre but he sure was the patsy there.

In this case he definately had help, bomb-making that amount on his own is highly unlikely.
I do hope he wasn't the legit owner of the weapons, if so that means gun rights are about to take a massive nose-dive in Norway alas.

I am not a facebook afficiondo, but if this guy has the modicum of intelligence his qualifications claim, and the establishment he studied at would indicate he is intelligent, then he would know this page would be looked at and it is purposefully public with all the info categories filled out and just a page of songs beyond that. He would know this would be seen and could be a message of sorts to reflect his belief system.

In the latest vg.no article it says he had a fb profile that was deactivated and this one has been creted recently:

From what VG has reported Breivik is unknown to the police before. He should have been convicted of minor traffic matters for over 10 years ago. He has no background in the military, apart from regular military service. He is registered with a Glock pistol, a rifle and a shotgun in the gun registry. Witnesses said the AP that the car the perpetrator used the stand by one of the jetties at Utstranda. The cars should be more weapons, including machine guns. A childhood friend of Breivik says to VG Nett that he should have been right-wing in the late 20's, and posted a series of controversial opinions on Facebook. The profile of his was deaktiviert after a while. He later created a new profile where it mainly is posted links to music videos.

More of info in respect of his other posting habits and views:

He promotes a very conservative opinions, which he also called nationalist. He expresses himself strongly opposed to multiculturalism - that cultural differences can live together in a community. Breivik has had many posts on the site Document.no, an Islam-critical site that publishes news and commentary. In one of the posts he states that the policy in day no longer revolves around socialism against capitalism, but that the fight is between nationalism and internationalism. He expressed clear support for the nationalist mindset. Anders Behring Breivik has also commented on the Swedish news articles, where he makes it clear that he believes the media have failed by not being "NOK" Islam-critical. Created Twitter Account For six days ago he put out his first and only message on the social networking site Twitter, where he laid out a famous quote by British philosopher and sosialliberalisten John Stuart Mill. "One person with a belief is equal to the force of 100 000 WHO garden only interests." On Facebook provide Breivik to be the director of his own company Geofarm. He claims he has an education in finance and religion, but does not disclose what universities he should have studied at. The only school he gives are Oslo Handel. 32-year-old is among other things, registered as a member of Oslo gun club and the Masonic Lodge. Among other interests expresses his admiration for Winston Churcill, classical music and Max Manus.

'eerily familiar' as you say, looks like someone I used to see around Oslo, but probably just my imagination. But I would say you are right about changes coming for security in Norway.

"The police official who spoke on condition of anonymity said the Oslo bombing occurred at 3:26 p.m. local time (1:26 p.m. GMT), and the camp shootings began one to two hours later. The official said the gunman used both automatic weapons and handguns, and that there was at least one unexploded device at the youth camp that a police bomb disposal team and military experts were working on disarming."

"...he was arrested at the scene in front of witnesses..."

Are you sure of that? One reference I came across said he was arrested at his apartment near Oslo, which, if true, raises the question of how he got off the island.

At least 80 killed in shootings

Av Dyveke Nilssen

Publisert 22.07.11 - 21:25, endret 23.07.11 - 05:20 (VG NETT)

(VG Nett) At least 80 people are killed in shootings at a youth camp only hours after a massive bomb blast in central Oslo.

One man has been arrested after the shooting and police see a connection between the two attacks. The suspect is of Norwegian nationality, confirms Norwegian Minister of Justice Knut Storberget.

Several sources confirm; the detainee is Anders Behring Breivik, 32.

Late friday night, special forces raided Breiviks apartement in Oslo.

Youth camp

The first reports of shootings on Utøya, an island outside of Oslo, came around 18.25 PM Friday night.

According to a witness the gunman identified himself as a police officer before he started killing people.

Almost 700 young members of the Labour Party was at the island for a youth camp.

Police now confirms that at least 80 people are killed in the shootings at the island.

Police also said they found explosives on the island.

Explosion

This came only hours after a bomb exploded in a government building in central Oslo at 3.30 PM Friday afternoon.

The explosion killed at least seven people and ten people are seriously injured in the blast, confirms police.

A fake police officer was also seen at this scene.

Surrounding buildings was also affected by the attack. The bomb exploded close to Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg's office. He was not at his office and has not been injured.

Several blocks around the bomb are still evacuated and people are asked to stay away from the city centre.

- We will find those responsible and hold them accountable, said the Norwegian Prime Minster Jens Stoltenberg at a press conference late Friday.

Thanks for that. It certainly gives a basic idea of his mindset and beliefs....although nothing extraordinary popped out that could have this young man committing such an evil crime. Who the hell knows what he was thinking.

I figured there must had been some kind of military experience at some point. That was obvious hense the well organised planning and firearm experience.

Just because some "Islamic" group calls and claims they did it does'nt mean to say they actually did.

From reports he appears to have done 'normal' basic National Service, I do not know in what area but the Norwegian Military is professional and training in whatever discipline is normally exceptionally good.

Sadly it also appears at least 84 people have been shot dead on Utoya, he is alleged to have been carrying three weapons which the state gun register reveals he was licensed for: hand gun, rifle and shotgun.
