Okay sure if they have the manpower, will, resources to do this then there would have been a warzone in Europe. Converting to Islam is the easy part.

I used to live in Oslo and to be frank, they are relatively 'an easy target'. They are tolerant of other cultures and religions and due to Schengen their border control is now very lax.

There are two candidates only for the attack: Al Qaeda or Libyan sympathisers. Al Qaeda could also be because the media in Norway reprinted the profit Mohammed cartoons last year I believe.

It is a country where one could easily launch such an attack on some of the least deserving targets in the world.

So they're saying the guy arrested on the Island has blonde hair, is white and spoke fluent Norwegian....

Is it just because the eyewitness descriptions of a 6ft4in, blonde Norwegian perpetrator of the shootings doesn't match your pre-conceived notions of an Al-Qaeda or Libyan attack ?

There is the remote possibility that these two incidents were a complete coincidence, or that the bomb made some nutter carry out a shooting spree, or that it's an Norwegian convert to Islam who has radical tendencies, but if the shooter had been described as a bearded Arabian, would you have been so soon to suggest that these attacks weren't linked ?

If there was 2 hours between the car bombing and the shootings; is one person (maybe with some kind of military experience) capable of doing both? He would have to be incrediably organised. Thats the way I'm thinking right now. I could be wrong but.....it could be possible.

No Sherlock, the subsequent description of the island perp gave credence to our thought it could be an unrelated incident, the 'lone nutter theory'. It did not make sense to us that the attackers - assuming terrorists - would attack an island of children and the government buildings. There are far more accessible and impactful targets in and around Oslo, speaking from personal knowledge of the city. However if the perp had been described as bearded and Arab looking - or however you put it then it would have lessened our lone nutter theory.

BTW do not know if you know the make up of the population of Norway and in particular Oslo, but racism and preconceived notions of a mans future actions based on his race would be utterly wrong. It is a vibrant multicultural city, and a lot of friends were from a wide spread of races.

To put this act today in context annual murder rates for Norway are amongst the lowest in the world they are a peaceful race:

You are correct Norway does have a low criminal record.

I only just found out there was 2 hours between the car bomb and shootings. Thats enough time for a very well planned loner to commit both attacks.

If I'm correct, it has to be an extreme far right wing attacker. I'm not ruling it out with the time frame between both incidents.

No one has mentioned more than one dressed as a police officer on that island. I'm just hearing now he was seen in the city area. It makes sense.
