I don't think Norway has many criminals in jails period.

Went back and reread the full text of the "Helpers of the Global Jihad" and Ansar al Jihad missives.

Some glaring syntax errors, poor word choice (in Arabic) and the whole thing appears like it was run through a damn online translator rather than being written by a native speaker.

Gonna have to agree with the tinfoil hat types- the postings were IMO 100% false flag, In this case though I'd say it was the Norwegian far right's op and not a foreign government.

Well to put it in simple terms: maximum security is their prison system is what we (in the US, UK, Canada, etc) would call minimum security. The Norwegians are very out of touch with reality regarding policing, criminal justice, internal security, etc ... it's like they are stuck in the 1970s lets all hold hands and sing Kumbaya era.

Maybe! Bur perhaps staying the hell out of other peoples business and countries also helps?

However, declaring support for a Palestinian state, divestment from Israeli businesses and not allowing Israeli investment in their huge pension funds, and now declaring their intention to pull back from Libyan action is gonna make them a target, purely out of spite, by certain factions.

I wonder if they have had any visitors from New Zealand recently?

If there was 2 hours between the car bomb and the shootings; is it possible this was all done by the same person?

Utøya is owned by the Workers' Youth League, it is the youth organization of the Norwegian Labour Party and the camp is dedicated in particular to fighting xenophobia and islamophobia.

In Norwegian

Translated to English

-To ever be mistenkeliggjort and rejected by a community do something with you, said Dagbladet debate editor on a political Marte Michelet yard on The island.

Michelet, to a full great Hall about integration and immigration policies. She used her own in-laws as an example of how it is to be asylum seeker to get to a new country. She expressed concern about the increasingly stuerene islamofobien who dominate the Government immigration debate.
-Previously, most AUFagreeing with. The dominant society must adapt so that minorities feel welcome. Today it is increasingly accepted to blame immigrants and assert that all the missing integration is their own fault.
In his introduction, she also warned against the blåbrune the right parties who gained great influence in European politics.

-After the fall was the dominant form of Islamophobia European racism. The more unacceptable form of General racism, was linked to the Muslims. "They will not integrate. They lack manners. They will only take advantage of our welfare. They are potential terrorists. " All this can be found in the debates on all issues of integration and immigration, she said.

Why would Muslim terrorists want to attack a youth group which is dedicated to helping the Muslim community and battle the right-wing? It makes absolutely no sense... unless they were not Muslims.

It is a shame, I've been to Norway, very good people, they certainly dont deserve this. Not that anyone does, but the Norwegians have been so open and generous to its immigrant community.

So true, 100%.

What kind of sick motherfkrs would do this?

I think we should stop putting terrorists in jail and simply execute em on TV.

I know it conjures gruesome images but it needs to be more effective than ti's now. We're acting as though terrorists are normal human beings but they're nothing like humans at all.

If you want to win you don't play this game the way that suits your enemy.

I think the general public is starting to learn this truth. You can't play nice with terrorists.

You don't understand. Terrorists don't respond to western or european ways of doing things.

If we want their attention we have to do things that they understand. That might not mean airing live executions, but it could mean something else having to do with their culture or habits.

We have to look at their wiring and figure out their weaknesses and use it.

Yes, the police now suspect that the same person was at both locations. It is not clear wether he worked alone or if he had help. Personally, I believe that he has had some help with the preparations, but it is possible that he carried out the attacks on his own.

I am leaning towards a lone maniac or some crazy right-wing group-thing (although, we have not had much hardcore activities from that direction for many, many years).
I do not at this point believe that any muslim/jihad/al-quaida groups are behind this.

However, I observed the prime-minister on live television some minutes ago, and he looked terrified. Seriously, he looked like he just had his biggest scare ever.... I could have misinterpreted his appearance, tho I doubt it...

That makes me believe that the "warning was taken".

What that implies? I don't know, but I am not looking forward to it.
How are you coping with the groping in the US? Can you get used to it?
Any good advice for what's coming?

I do not at this point believe that any muslim/jihad/al-quaida groups are behind this.

A terror group, Ansar al-Jihad al-Alami (the Helpers of the Global Jihad), issued a statement claiming responsibility for the attack, according to Will McCants, a terrorism analyst at CNA, a research institute that studies terrorism. The message said the attack was a response to Norwegian forces' presence in Afghanistan and to unspecified insults to the Prophet Muhammad. "We have warned since the Stockholm raid of more operations," the group said, apparently referred to a bombing in Sweden in December 2010, according to Mr McCants' translation. "What you see is only the beginning, and there is more to come." The claim could not be confirmed.

Perhaps, but he could have had some military or police experience at some time in the past and would had planned this for months. It could be done alone.

I can only imagine the fear of the PM. Alot of lives have been lost and no doubt this was also an attempt on the PM's life.

Hmm,they are going for a lone maniac theory are they...
I think more than one person did this atrocity, but who knows.

To think that one man did this whole thing seems horrid to me-why would someone do that?
But at the moment it can't be ruled out I suppose.

Respect to the people of Norway who have had to endure this dark day.
We are with you.

The damage really reminds me of the Oklahoma bombing, truly a sad event! I think that's the general plan, if you're a member of NATO, you're easily going to be targeted, that being my opinion.

Yes, I have read those claims. I don't believe it. It makes no sense. If so, the targets would have been publishers and newspapers. Not the political parties that actively supports the Palestinians and advocate boycott of Israel.

And look at the perp. Doesn't fit the bill at all. This so called experts on terrorism are government shills that can't and/or are unable to say anything else...they live in a world of their own making, and that doesn't make it true.
