Very true, Turkey also has caucasian looking people. The shooter could have come from anywhere, including right inside Norway. Homegrown terrorist members is a stated goal of AQ.

Hell you're statistically more likely to die by car accidents or bee stings than to die by terrorism.

Doesn't mean that they don't happen but worrying about them is useless however.

Actually it does.

Ansar al Jihad has been frothing at the mouth in anger for years at Norway over the arrests and ordered deportation of Najmuddin Faraj Ahmad.

With these kinds of terrorist bombings you just have to wait and see who did it. I remember when the Oklahoma bombing took place and everyone was screaming Muslim extremists, until they found out it was home grown.

I hope this is the end of it.

Most of them are too busy arguing over Sunnah vs. Shia vs. Sufi vs. Wahabbi and are a definite minority amongst Muslims. I lived in Iraq and Jordan for 6 years and found 95% of the people to be hospitable, friendly, open and funny as hell. Nobody wants these idiots in their neighborhood- crap tends to blow up

If the Islamic world ever gets over petty differences and blood feuds they'd be a force to be reckoned with. As it is the so called "jihadis" are an annoying nuisance in general.

What if Anonlescence (Anonymous) hacked NATO's server, and then they gave the .pdf files to a terrorist group. As a result of finding out some valuable information about Norway, the terrorist group was able to use the hacked information to attack.

Anyone know the Norwegian political scene?

Like it's been said anyone can get a machine gun or toss together some ANFO. Is the right over there that unbalanced like it is in the US?

Between the wanna-be soldier militias playing at being anti-government to the Christians blowing up clinics and shooting doctors I'd buy a homegrown attack here in a heartbeat but not familiar at all with EU politics.

It's always been suspected that an Islamic group was involved in at least some part of the plot. John Doe #2 is believed to be a man of Middle Eastern descent. There is no way in heck that McVeigh pulled that attack off with just Terry Nichols.

NRK interviews witness who tells about 25-30 people killed at Utøya, victims that supposedly tried to swim to the main land but was shot.
