Do some research, for crying out loud. There are some arguments to be made on your overall point, but Hitler and the Inquisition are not included in them.

Hitler was not Christian. For a time he promoted a distorted view of Christianity ("positive Christianity") that he felt compatible with his worldview, but by 1940 he had abandoned it. The death toll of the Inquisition is relatively low, 5000 at the high end. Disgusting, of course, and the Islamists burn through this figure every several months. 930 deaths were directly link to Jihad in June 2011 alone.

Nearly all this information comes up with a simple Wikipedia search. The Jihad figures are readily available with a straightforward Google search.

Now, of course Hitler's religious views influecned his reign of terror as much as his moustache did(that is to say, not at all, it's irrelavent- good people are good and bad people are bad largely irrespective of their religious beliefs).

Likewise, you need to consider the percentage of the population harmed by both religions, not just the numbers. Killing 1000 people in a population of 10,000 is quite arguably more harmful than killing 10,000 in a population of 10,000,000.

Finally, you referred to Hitler's use of a "distorted" view of Christianity, in which case I must ask you, what is a pure and undistorted Christian perspectiv? The Bible is of course the Big Book of Multiple Choice. You do realize that Judaism, Christianity and Islam are all derived from the same source material don't you?

I don't think you can make that leap. I don't see Christian clairics calling for the destruction of other religions or government. Christians are not burning Muslim mosques (or at least, not for several hundred years). Maybe if it wern't for the Muslims, the Christians would be fighting with some other religion but I doubt it. Organized religions have been the root for most of man's conflicts I'd agree but the Muslim creedo is join us or die, not live and let live...

Your list is total BS.

Eg; Sri Lanka is (was) not a Muslim vs Hindus and Buddhists conflict at all, Tamils are around 90% Hindu! Sri Lanka is very multicultural, Muslims live happily with Buddhists and Hindus throughout the country (for the most part, there's always some, less than ATS for sure). If you must label it a religious conflict (rather than ethnic, like most in your list) it would be between Hindus and Buddhists.

I have spent a lot of time there (including getting married), did you really think the absolute lies in your original post wouldn't be called out? Bigots get on my nerves.

I am surprised nobody has brought up the fact that the crusades were started to RECLAIM the lands from the muslims. After 450 years of brutal horrific jihad campaigns in the area, an equally brutal and horrific reaction took place. Now jihad is happening again except on a world wide scale vs a geographical "region".

You left out that the Christians are primarilly VICTIMS in those conflicts. to overlook that aspect is like saying a rape victim is just as guilty as the rapist. Get real.
