Not that I am a Christian but I do belive the Inquisition is over for 99% of Christians. (There is always the backwoods christian extremists. Who scare the SH** out of me!)

By and far you simply have a poor memory of history. It's the poorer uneducated countries that promote such violence, no matter what the Religion is. In Modern times we have Witches killed, women abused, laws to kill homosexuals, etc...all in poorly educated CHRISTIAN areas! (many of those examples can be found in Christian areas of Africa)
Beyond that all you need to do is go a tiny bit farther in history to see many of those things in Christian America...then a bit farther back you have the Crusades, Spanish Inquisition, etc.
These types of violent acts are certainly not the result of any one religion...to believe so is to be incredibly ignorant of world events. One can see a much stronger correlation between such violence and education/poverty than religious beliefs.

What is is what is. Fighting wars are not justification to being wrong nor evil. In addition, nor proof of being the aggressor.

Just because Bin Laden lead a group that consisted of Muslims doesn't mean that its a holy war. The main reason Al Qaeda attacked us along with our allies was due to the flaws in our foreign policy...not religion.

As for Chechnya and Russia, Russians bombed Chechen soil. The Chechen rebels launched numerous vicious attacks against Russian civilian facilities (theater, school, etc). Both sides are wrong when it comes to it. Oh and it has Nothing to do with religion. It has to do with Independence.

As for the other examples, I can't really argue because they are examples of holy wars/conflicts. Religion in general causes conflict. That's the reality and that's a fact you can't argue with.

I dont agree with the reasons people believe we went into Iraq. a WMD is any weapon designed to cause undo and unjust suffering of those its used on IT DOES NOT MEAN NUKE, and with that being said yes they had WMD's and weapons they were not allowed to have while its not a very strong reason its still kind of a reason Also, Saddam was a horrible guy, He used bio's on his own people he was a genuine war criminal but no outcry came from anyone for years and years so I had no problem with the invasion of Iraq I do dislike the reasons the people were swayed into believing but I do honestly feel overall we couldve done worse I've been there and no matter what the MSM or some wack job on here will tell you they genuinely love soldiers over there I've seen schools open, people walking around feeling safe and secure its just too much good happened because of it to get hung up on the #ty reason givin for going to war there.

Do some research, for crying out loud. There are some arguments to be made on your overall point, but Hitler and the Inquisition are not included in them.

Hitler was not Christian. For a time he promoted a distorted view of Christianity ("positive Christianity") that he felt compatible with his worldview, but by 1940 he had abandoned it. He is attributed with the following statement: "We do not want any other god than Germany itself. It is essential to have fanatical faith and hope and love in and for Germany."

The death toll of the Inquisition is relatively low, 5000 at the high end. Disgusting, of course, and the Islamists burn through this figure every several months. 930 deaths were directly link to Jihad in June 2011 alone.

Nearly all this information comes up with a simple Wikipedia search. The Jihad figures are readily available with a straightforward Google search.

Can I at this time mention a couple of things. It is the men writings in the Islamic scriptures that bring about the violence seen. They contort and manipulate books which are written by God to mean something different. People see the man interpretation and turn a blind eye to the peaceful version. And this applies to many religionsFor example...the Shruti literature in the Hindu scriptures have no kind of discrimination against women...no caste system yet the Smriti literature written by man does.

So if you have anyone to blame...it is man themselves.

There is no real need for war in our age and time. War is supposed to be for uncivilized being who can't solve their problems without using weapons. Gerald Celente says that when a nation goes broke than expect a war to get us out of the recession. War is a great money maker and I think this is where the world is headed.

Not because there are Christians or Muslims but because there are people who still haven't evolved into the 21st century.

I will comment confrontations in my region

1. Bosnia - hm as I remember Serbs (Christian) attacked Croatia and then Bosnia (Muslim) - most mass graves and ethnic cleansing was done by Christians so ....
2. Kosovo is USA kitchen - Muslims were backed up by USA ro weaken Russia's ally Serbia (Christian)
3. Macedonia - if Greece and Bulgaria (Christian) didn't backed up Muslims to weaken Macedonia because they want their territory .....

so if there weren't Christian cooking there would be no Muslim confrontations

so where are Christian apologies?

Well said! You deserve more stars than any of the other hateful and ignorant comments on this thread, but unfortunately I can only give you one. What a wonderful world it would be if everyone thought like you. Those of us who also think like you, live in hope!

This thread is completely pointless, because the majority of people in this world are good & decent people & most want to live in peace and harmony, but unfortunately governments, religious institutions and those who preach hatred & ignorance won't allow us to do so.

By being in a state of hatred the only person you're harming is yourself, so why even go there, unless you like harming yourself. Take responsibility for your own actions and stop blaming everyone else for your own problems. Practise what you preach and lead by example, instead of spewing nothing but hatred and ignorance. That should be the motto of all humans. Amen!
