I hope this statement will stick in the minds of those claiming "bigotry against muslims", As "Defender of The Faith" which is the Regents duty, has gone out the window a long time ago, maybe Elizabeth II should have some guts and declare herself to be null and void, or they need a monarch which will deliver ALL muslims to allah post haste, or in a more "civilised country like Australia, England should adopt their stance, and let the "muslim community" know that their rules will NOT apply,- Brits need to stand up for their heritage !!!

I completely agree. Xenophobia has never worked well in Europe, or anywhere else for that matter. It engenders violence, greed, and a false sense of superiority in those who enact it, and ruins lives across the board in all places . It is not a viable solution to the problem.

I actually live in Waltham Forest and have lived here all my life, specifically Walthamstow bordering on Leyton and can categorically state that this is hate-ridden nonsense. Firstly, the Daily Star is a BS newspaper and anyone with any self-respect would steer clear of that PoS. Secondly, "Muslims against Crusades" are laughable and cannot be taken seriously. I compare those idiots to all other right-wing groups. Thirdly, anyone that lives in this area will tell you that it is a very tolerant area and everyone mixes well. There are many people here from all backgrounds, and a large number of Polish, Turkish, Romanian, German and French people have moved into this area over the last few years. There's loads of pubs, betting shops and "mixing of the sexes" here.

My personal opinion is that "ALOSTSOUL" is talking #. I've socialised with some of these "hardcore" elements in the past and not once have I seen them do what you say they did. And saying ""You can't drink round here, throw it away or face Allah's wrath!"? Seems a bit out of character to me since a lot of these people stick to themselves because of a false sense of hostility from those around them. Although if it really did happen, then I apologise and can only liken them to far-right groups like the BNP, who ultimately are useless pieces of excrement trying to sow seeds of hatred based on some backward ideology of white supremecy.

p.s. And you thought: "if non-extreme Muslim areas are willing to implement this, then what about the extreme areas?" - Erm, What? There are very few extremists, just like there are very few white supremacists, Christian fundamentalists etc. Tarring a group because of a few people is idiocy. It would be akin to me getting beaten badly by an English man, and saying that "if non-extreme English areas are willing to do this, then what about the extreme areas?", totally ignoring the fact that a few people would do it, but the VAST majority would not, and want to live peacefully with one another. The sooner we raise this curtain of suspicion, the better.

The minute something like this happens locally I'll start to believe it - though concidering our highest concentrations dwell in the same area as students, I highly doubt anyones gonna get stopped getting beer in a hurry.

You clearly don't live where I do - A brand new Mosque almost got blown off the map by kids and a gas supply a few weeks back - before it even opened.

Some of the naivety in this post is striking. Yes it would seem that this subject matter is not quite as it seems and "Muslims against Crusades" may be akin to the BNP however, that being said, the simple fact that posts of this nature are made and groups such as MAC exist should be alarming.

There will be some who preach xenophobia, peace, acceptance and love for thy neighbours. Again it is the age old arguement of religion and extremism. But.. this is the very important but.. any of you who think this is not plausible, that Sharia law will never be implemented, that Islam governing areas of Britain is impossible, should buy a plane ticket and go visit parts of France where this is already the case. Once you have enlightened yourselves to the plight of the non-Islamic French to this racism (and it is racism even if it is Muslims being the offenders), then perhaps you will see the future for the UK.

Bear in mind France is probably 10 years ahead of the UK in it's plight.. it's not exactly rocket science to see what things will be like in the UK in the not too distant future.

Something to think about.. I am not a racist, I was accepting for many years. I now am tolerant and just barely.

Sorry, you seem to confuse me for someone who gives a # what you personally do.

But that day that someone's alcohol use directly or indirectly results in a personal loss to me(such as drunk driving accidents), they could be a mile in height and width, they better hope the police gets to them before I do. It's already destroying so many lives while keeping another so many intoxicated, but lets do everything but question it.
