No, I do not wish to try again, because according to the law the are voluntary.

And as a citizen of this country, you agree to voluntarily send in your tax money.

It's common sense.

You don't HAVE to pay taxes, but their is jail time you will be facing, plus there are those who would say, that if you don't like to pay taxes to the US, don't live there.... I would never say such at thing of course.

Now, if you wish to actually have a conversation rather than just yell "no", please feel free to start.
No I do not agree to pay "voluntarily". I pay or I go to jail. Men with guns would come and arrest me if I just said "I want to stop paying please".

LMAO.... really now it is Citizens Government Bailout Fund give me a break. I will help pay down the debt if the American public gets to vote on the spending of feature taxes collected, all unnecessary government agencies are disbanded (DEA, ATF, CIA, FBI, EPA, FEMA, Forest Service, ect.), all government officials reduce their pay by 30% and restore all our rights that have been infringed upon do to government involvement. If they do all this I would be more than happy to help pay back the money the gave away. It is time that serving as a government official is an honor again not a way to profit off the people. If we gave them the money it would just disappear again keep dreaming Feds we are waking up to your bottomless money pit.

How about this...

Anyone in the public sector who has currently worked it so they make more (perks, gifts, stocks and investments included) than the POTUS official salary. 'Must' donate the surplus over what the POTUS makes to pay off the national debt.

It's sort of hard for the buck to stop with him if the last one is spent long before it gets to his desk.

Or just maybe we could use 25% of the profits from Afghan's heroin trade we are getting a cut of?

Wait a minute. Voluntarily pay into the government?

Isn't that called Taxes?
NO! There is nothing VOLUNTARY about taxes. Care to try again?

Next time before you just shout no.... Or try to suggest some one is wrong... Do your research will you?

www.forbes.com...

www.fff.org...

www.taxguru.org...

I take it you have never filled out tax forms? It says right on them, Voluntary, to suggest, that they are not, is some what accurate, you are required by law to pay taxes. BUT, they are voluntary.

I'll let you figure out the rest, okay? Hey, I can't do all of your work for you.

I mean, as I said, sure you don't have to pay your taxes. No one is holding a gun to your head.... But if you don't want to, the US government will be glad to work with you, I am sure.
No one has to pay taxes, but no one has to be a citizen, and as they say, it is our duty as a citizen to voluntarily put our money into the government. Hey, the government will not work with out money ( Sounds like religion D: )

I guess we could compromise and say it is "voluntary". You have to but you don't.... If you don't there are legal consequences, which I agree sucks... Mainly because the IRS is a private company.

You know what will happen don't you, cops will find any excuse to arrest people then say the city will drop the charges against you if you make a $100 donation.

Then it is not voluntary or even "voluntary". Pay or go to prison is not voluntary.

While I wouldn't want to participate in this, I have to admit it IS a good idea.

It's a voluntary program that will not affect you at all unless you decide to participate, so if someone wants to kick in a few bucks a week that's their choice.

However, there is one tiny part of me a little paranoid that this might be the first step in making this a mandatory payment...

While I normally don't agree with you, I agree with your last statement.

Seriously, just look at something like the Income tax. It was only supposed to be 1%, and look at us today. Everything happens in baby steps.

Uncle Sam: It is now mandatory for all American citizens to give 30% of their income to the government to pay off its debt.

Typical American: Hurrrrr Okay! Go America! We are the best! Woot woot!

What makes you think mandatory payments will enrage Americans. They've been pouring their money into needless and useless federal agencies, pensions, commissions, and organizations for decades.

• Department of the Interior
• Department of Agriculture
• Department of Commerce
• Department of Labor
• Department of Health and Human Services
• Department of Housing and Urban Development
• Department of Energy
• Department of Education
• Department of Homeland Security

Yeah go America.

Everything we do in life is so called "voluntary."

I voluntary decide to not to fly a plane into a federal building.
I voluntary decide to not to set a hospital on fire.
I voluntary decide to not to rob a bank.
I voluntary decide to not to pick up my dog's droppings in the park.

When I still had a job... I got bored and calculated how long it would take to pay back the debt... heres a quick breakdown...

If you paid back 1000$ per second, it would take 460 YEARS to pay back the 14.5 trillion debt
10,000 per second 46 Years
100,000 per second would be 4.6 years...

PER SECOND of every day for that many years...

IMO it will never be paid off legitly... Only by printing our way out, or DEFAULT... I dont see any other way...

The industrial age is dying, and will never come back to america...

With that said, they can take THEIR debt and shove it you know where...

Also what ModernAcademia said... STOP THE WARS

I didn't vote for any of those knuckle heads and they also gave me absolutely no choice in how they spent all of that money.

STOP THE WARS and bring all of our troops back home. Not tomorrow. Not next week. Not next year. But RIGHT NOW.

Stop sending all of our jobs overseas and give Americans the ability to find a decent paying job that will put food on the table and help keep a roof over their heads.

Then, and only then, maybe I would consider donating something toward all of our taxpayer dollars that they have mismanaged.

Ha! They are not gonna part with a red cent of ANY money to pay off any debt. Not ever.

They're gonna get YOU, the already tax-burdoned, hard-working man, to pay it.

But it won't get paid off when you do. They will squander it all again like they always do. Then it will all keep repeating.

The US Government is one huge parasite IMO

Get rid of your lying, corrupt government and start afresh. The world will be a much better place if you do.

I say instead we take 80-90% of the accumulated wealth of the individuals who while they served in the congress and the senate or as President in the years that ran up the debt by spending more and more while enriching themselves and their buddies at our expense.

They benefited greatly from and used the information, influence and contacts made while “serving the people” to gain more and more wealth for themselves to a certain extent while in and greatly and without restraint or shame after office.

I mean look at Charlie Rangel he has only ever been a politician and made at most 175k a year in so doing he must be the best business investor ever to have his accumulated wealth and have lived his extravagant lifestyle for 40+ years. I wish I could make golden sure investments and get “low interest” loans (read grants and bribes) from people for giving away tax dollars.

I wonder how many of these guys come in a little well off and leave million and billionaires? Take their money – you’ll not get mine.

We didn’t run up the debt they did have them pay it back.

Hey great idea! Here's a year of my wages, up front, so govt. droids can buy one specially equipped Hellfire missile.

Use it as needed in some 3rd world village mud hut, blow up however many civilians/women/children so you can send home data on "semi-important Al-Queda leader killed in drone strike, local govt. PO'd hehehehehe!"

Meanwhile arrest people feeding our US homeless without a permit because "it might be bad for their health to eat food when they are eating garbage on a DAILY BASIS!"

That's thinking outside the outside the box and I actually like that idea except for the matter that it'll still be government run and therefor spent on useless $10000 hammers. Too much corruption going on on all levels. The only way to fix that is to downsize our huge government (which by the way, we asked for) and let the states decide what "special" rights we deserve. I really think that the #e will hit the fan if ObamaCare isn't repealed. No one is going to tell me I have to pay just because I was born a US citizen... Don't get me wrong, I want insurance but no one is going to force me to pay for it if I can't afford it on my own besides it only hurts the small biz and medical innovations because who is going to spend hundred of thousands of college money to be a government run doctor just to be paid a "minimum" wage....
