But I just can't put it into words.

That in itself is a side of this, not being able to tell/talk about it because it just can't be expessed correctly.

I think this might be the most accurate statement on this thread.

Sorry about that, I was a little upset, and I apologize for being rude. It is obviously an issue, I guess I wanted you to address the posts that you asked for.

Of course, the barrier of anonymity is here, but I still applaud you for your post, and just being able to admit it. That is, until I got to the end. This last statement, just does not seem to accurately fit in with the rest of your post. I am assuming, that there may have been a sort of typo, or maybe just mis-worded this final sentence??

I have had help since then and have been living on my own since January. The pain has decreased a little and I can now work 3 hours a day so, to me, life is looking up again. The attempt was also a huge learning experience and I know that I will now recognize the signs and attempt it again.

Oops, you're right, thanks. The last part should indeed be "not attempt it again."
It's a shame it's to late to fix it.

What's the point of living when every day of your life is one of pain & suffering and no one cares. Most people who commit suicide usually suffer for years from manic depression, which usually goes unnoticed by most. Also not everyone is from a loving family, in fact I imagine quite a lot of families couldn't care less. It's a dog eat dog world and for people who suffer from depression, it's not like there's any meaning or purpose to life, as depression is a forever lasting eternal hell. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I've attempted suicide once in the past & I still suffer from depression. The most infuriating thing is that everyone expects you to act normal. Just how is one supposed to act normal when you have serious mental health problems.
To me, life is nothing but a rat race and another reason not to live. Having said that, I've gotten this far, so I might as well live out the rest of my life in hell. You get used to hell after a while and what else is there?
Like I tell myself, if you're going to feel sorry for someone, make it somebody else, because no matter how bad things get, some poor sod somewhere has got it worse.
