To be honest, I'm American and I don't hate Muslims, but it just seems that every single day my civilization comes closer to being gone and ethnically cleansed because of people like you everyday. If I had a choice, I would keep people of different cultures separate forever, because whenever they meet each other, one always tries to overtake the other. If it comes down to it, I will protect my people before yours. I welcome you to ATS and wish no harm if you do me the same.

Everyone? Really? This seems somewhat clichéd and has a ring of untruth. But if it is true then it was an unpleasant experience. However, it pales into insignificance when you consider the treatment administered to Nick Berg, Daniel Pearl, Eugene Armstrong, Jack Hensley, Kenneth Bigley and numerous others, by Muslims when they visited Middle Eastern countries. Where does the real hatred lie?

I have to say I doubt the veracity of this "Hussein" and the thread. Perhaps it is inspired by "Amina Arraf" aka the gay girl in Damascus

Everyone is a stranger somewhere and it depends on your personal experience (and luck) if you met the right people or not. If I go to Ukraine and people treat me a bit unfriendly is this a whole nation of racists? Course not... Sometimes it's the mentality, wrong behaviour on my part or I simply met the wrong crowd... Therefore the message of OP has it's validity but it would be hypocritical if I start a peaceful message by accusing a whole nation... But that's exactly what OP did... He had a rough time in universal studios... That's it??? The rest of his stay in the states went without problems??? Good for him... Must mean that during the rest of his trip he was treated respectfully or at least normally...

This is the type of thread I have always hoped to see on ATS. It is astonishingly well written considering you don't speak native English, and the messages you are attempting to convey are right on the money. It is exactly what people need to hear from someone like yourself. It is a wake-up call when it comes directly from a person like yourself. You should be allowed to give this speech on national television my friend!

The OP is simply trying to point out these major misconceptions and stereotypes many countries like the US hold. I am actually Australian myself, but the level of hate towards Muslims is quite disgusting here, I imagine it's even worse in the US. Everyone attaches the terrorist stereotype to them, and I can understand exactly where the OP is coming from.

EDIT: And the part where the OP explains how easily the bible can be taken out of context is especially relevant. Once again, good work OP. You deserve the flags this thread has gained.

I dont know if you have noticed, but theres nothing petty about that argument what so ever......anytime you cannot have an honest debate with the other side without being labeled a racist is unacceptable....

There is no hate towards muslims, theres hate towards extremism.........your point of view about misconscrued "Muslim hate" is part of the problem.......

We have a reason to be weary , extremist and even some so called moderates, are killing people in mass all over the world............and executing people of other religions just because they dont believe the same thing....

Theres not a huge amount of muslim hate here in the US, yes there are instances of people doing stupid crap, but there are stupid people everywhere.........

Heres a challenge.......why dont you find how many instances of muslim hate there are in the US , which im sure youll find some......and then on the other side, find out how many hate crimes and killings muslims have committed against people of other religions.........

And I couldn't agree more with the sentiment. Bully of the world? Of course. It was my own nation before America. Now we are like the little dweeb country sucking up to the playground bully, agreeing with and laughing along with everything he does, pretending that we are also bad ass.

We have always had an enemy because they believe we need one. Right now the enemies are islam and climate change. I'm sure this will change in the future, if we survive the present.

I do not care about any religion or superstition, but I agree that individual liberty is more important than anything else - everyone is entitled to believe whatever they want and they should respect other people beliefs and superstitions.

Yes, and that hate towards extremism is mixed in with just a hate towards any old Muslim. Are you seriously that blind you can't see that? I am forced to pretend I like racist Muslim jokes on a consistent basis, because everyone seems to like making fun of Muslims and insinuating all of them are terrorist masterminds. It's stereotyping and generalism at it's finest; the OP is clearly trying to break down some of those misconceptions, and I absolutely applaud the effort. And dont try to talk to me about experience of anything, im willing to wager i know a great deal more about the issues of extremism and muslim intigration in the US than you do....I spent MANY a tour over in the big sand box and worked stateside with refugees from Muslim countries.

Here in the West we think of jewelry such a woman's necklace when pearls are mentioned. The pearl being a beautiful item of nature similar to a precious stone.

However, when you apply women, stones and necklaces to Iran other things come to mind

I have not once called you anything except blind. You can be justifiably cautious of terrorists, but that does not mean a whole group of people should have to suffer under the burden of hardcore stereotyping because a few people from that group did some bad things. The OP is simply trying relieve a bit of the pressure building up between different people's of this world, and it does no good for you to bring all these silly arguments of racism into the picture. Just try to see the GOOD things the OP is trying to say. Try to see the positive growth and lessons to be learnt here...you are a sad little man my friend.
