My name is hussein, and i live in iran.
i believe in both buddhist and islam
today i would like to give you a message,
please stop hating,
please stop being ignorent
please stop living with the ego head (big head)
please respect other human
please stop being pre judge others.

i am not speaking to this forum for behalf of islam, i am speaking for behalf of myself. when i visit america in 2005 to universal studios, everyone insult me, they make fun of me, they call me terrorist, they give me bad name, and you can see many people be in a state of uncomfortabel, especially when we wait on the ride and i cannot leave to go somewhere else without these people because they lock you on the ride to the chair. all of this was because i was born in a different country and i look different to them, but i am a person too. i am a person just like you, i have feelings, i feel sad too... i feel happy, i want to live, i want to enjoy life, and i want peace...

i understand this website is from america, and alot of americans use. i use this website alot, despite constant negative people, it is full of information.

what is very alerting to me is this site understands the lies that goverment says to them. we have the same problem in my country, the govenment lies and we disprove of them (at now, internet is blocked in my area i must use tor relay ). and before you judge and say only my country has bad goverment, it is happening in other places too with they monitor internet. for example, in china they do the same thing.

anyway, back to what i say: what i dont understand, if you know it is lies from the goverment, if you know they are not telling you the truth, why you still say what they tell you?
why alot of people show much hate to islam, full of comment of ignorence and hate... when it is simply not true?

not true, but there are many messages like this hear. i dont support extremist in any religion, there are crazy people in all of the world. we are not taught to kill anyone, it is "cutting part of a message" and saying lies to the people. if you actually read quran, you find out it is very peaceful.

if i remove a message from the bible, and i say it around, and say the bible tells to kill any non christian, is it true?

the bible quote is talking about prophet jesus christ. if i say these to people, would it mean every christian is violent?

the infidel propoganda talks about the enemy of ancient holy war with pagan:
“But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the pagans (infidels) wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (battle); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practise regular charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.” (Surah 9:5)
in the next line:
"If one amongst the pagans ask you for asylum, grant it to him, so that he may hear the word of God; and then escort him to where he can be secure.” (Surah 9:6)

basically, if they are violent enemy, is ok to attack, if they do not wish to fight and they want the shelter because they are innocent, they will not be attacked. is it battle rules (at the time the west were doing the crusade) that have been distorted to spread hate/ignorence

and no, it is not true that everyone has bombs. in all of my life, i have never seen, heard, experience anyone who seen or heard a bomb.
and yes, there are extremist in islam, much like there is extremist in christianity. for example, that man who wanted to burn quran, he was spreading a message of hate/ignorence, everyone that supported him was extremist too.... they try justify it and say "we have free speech in this country". ok, if i say my name was adolf hitler and i go around saying bad things about jews and torah and say to burn it (astafirallah), is this right? no! is extremist hate.
you cannot justify hate and say "is free speech", anyone that follows this principle is extremist.

this is not true either, we do not burn churches, the extremist burns the bible after the racist says to burn bible.
women like cattle and sex slave is not true, we treat women like pearl. we respect the women, much to the opposite western society music video and social culture, where children think is ok to be rude and give girls names and have sexualize children very early when they are not ready.

I have to admit however, alot of people that i know do not like america... on tv we see reports of america attacking and bombing (air strike, see who is using real bomb, it is also on american news website.) iraq, yemen, afghanistan, pakistan, libya... so we think it is a "bully" country.
there always saying to fight all the terrorist and the bombs, when it is just propoganda. they should find the many terrorist in america, but they are called with different names, for example gangs, rapist, these inflict terror, no?

you think the people in your country are better than the people in other countries, and when america commits many evil acts (so much war, so much killing) you give blind eye, because you already judge people in different countries to be bad, and their life has less value than yours, so its ok to kill...

you have everything you need, house, nice car, air conditioning, food, why is many americans living in a life where they want more, more, more, when they have everything that lots of others dont have in the world? some people dont have food, or air conditioning, or a car, or even a house.... they are liveing in a very selfish bubble... because other people in different countries have less, they paint in bad colors to justify anything evil that they wish to do to them, for example, take oil:

america 4.5% of population of earth, 26% earth energy usage.

what gives america the right to think less of people, to negatively judge then attack for oil? why do they say other people are full of violence, they ride camel all day with head rag and ak47, when this is brainwash to hate some more to make more war, when all of the "bad people" in these countries are fighting to defend themselves from extermination? they say "ally force, hostile terrorist" as if one is good, one is bad, like in the movies... and people believe the movies, so they believe that their military is killing the bad people.

why if you are aware that goverment lies to you, you spread all the hate, ignorence, to make the evil still happen, to make all the war still happen, to give false justification to stifel the human life.

it is reasons like this that people in other countries generally dont like america and its corrupt goverment. i am afraid of going to america.

i dont agree with american goverment killing osama bin laden (maybe they lied, i think they lied), even if they did, what gives them the right to kill someone without trials? why is it justified to act savage, bury the body in the ocean (and no, it is not true that we like to be buried in the sea, it is not culture fad to do such.) , then have everyone happy that they killed a man? if he was a bad person, he should be in the court system. every person deserves to be heard.

i agree with alot of what you say,
a common misdemeanor with the western world is, we see saddam hussein/bin laden in every other middle eastern wearing a turban or whatnot, they is misinformed racial pigs.
However your not going to stop copping abuse so learn to deal with it cause this world is in way above their heads and racial slurs will never stop.
however i still say welcome and the points you put across are great. you sound like a wise man.

It is good you feel comfortable with sharing your perspective here. Thank you. All you say is very valid and I am sure a very truthful account of the cultural context in which you find yourself as a human being.

My friend, I am a Christian, but I want you to know I would never ever want to hurt you or your people. I have only complete respect for others and their choices. I do not agree with this crazy fighting. I wish it were over and we could live in peace.

I lived for quite some years in a Muslim community here in UK. I was treated with so much dignity and never once was I insulted. I enjoyed living with that kind of Islam as much as anywhere I have lived.

All I know is, me as an individual, would never want to dictate to another human being and neither treat them with contempt for having different ways to myself.

Let us pray for peace, OP!

Unfortunately, some of our fellow Humans are blinded by greed, hatred, ignorance and the desire to inflict their will, and completely unfounded beliefs, on others in the mistaken conviction that they do so in the common good.

I detest what is happening in the Middle East, and anywhere else that this new founded imperialism is spreading its insidious roots.

I recently watched previews of John Pilger’s new documentary on the civilian cost of the war in Iraq, and that short film made me sick to my stomach to see that ordinary people, like me and you, are suffering and loosing loved ones simply because another country – and its allies - has decided to do what they want, and take what they want, from that land.

No political rhetoric, ideological argument or suggestion of a contrived threat will dissuade me that there is a legitimate excuse for the current troubles.

Hussein doesn't hate! Have you read his message, you will see clearly he wants to be with us here at ATS and he is our brother here. People tell me I am ignorant for being a Christian and they say the Old Testament is a hate book.

Hussein is not preaching. He is expressing who he is and his desire to live in peace, not on Muslim terms, but on terms of humanity!

Hussein, a man like you and your family would be welcome as my next door neighbour anytime. Here in UK we got a pretty good thing going these days, by and large, with respecting eachother as individuals. No doctrine can force this issue, just a peace orientated heart at the end of the day!

Let me explain how you discuss an issue:

I say - Molesting Children in Churches is bad.

You say - "well Muslims molest children too"

I would say - but is Molesting Children in Churches bad or not?

You would say - "Na'aa you tell me whether Muslim molesting children is bad first"

I say - Yeah it is bad.

You would say - "told you, those damn Muslims".

See the trend, you forget about your side of the fence, people who do that are either in denial, or professional propagandist. Since you're obviously not a professional propagandist, I suspect you are an individual who is in denial.

He isn’t preaching.

He’s asking us to rethink our attitude to another country and people, an attitude that is being deliberately shaped by the media, and the outside influences the media willingly allows to do so.
