I said it was a stupid idea! Doing anything like that to him is Ignorant and the dumbest thing you could possibly do.

This has been a long time comming. Careful planning, manufactured crisis, and now a time to rejoice. the country is in the crapper, Don't worry about the colapsing dollar, don't worry about gas prices, don't worry about the flooding, earthquakes, or tornadoes. Osama Bin Laden is dead..........but we now have no way to prove it. Rejoice America. "WAR IS PEACE FREEDOM IS SLAVERY IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH." double plus good,,,,,,time to practice your newspeak

Then by all means we should lower ourselves to their level and embarrass ourselves by acting like fools. Your an idiot. you can lower yourself to their level but Me and the rest of the United States will take the high road and do nothing. we will be the better people and just let it be.

They said Osama bin Laden is dead but they forgot to mention which Osama bin Laden. There have been rumors of a few doubles of him through the years. The "true" Osama could have been dead for quite a few years now but it will be hard to prove anything in this case. The body has been disposed for good, super fast evidence has been announced and the vast majority of people aren't even questioning his death.

What is almost certain is that the timing is of significant importance and comes right after prince William's wedding and Pope's John Paul II beatification. I feel that someone is in a hurry for something big or a fast succession of major events.

A clear message would be to do nothing to the body, leave it alone, take the high road and be the better person.
Wether its in bible land or real world, doing nothing to his body is the best you can do.

How was your childhood? were you beat up a lot as a child? because your very disturbed.

What would Jesus do? He wouldn't do anything.

This is my first post so don't trash me too much

The burial at sea and following Muslim tradition is in the best interest of the US.

Couple of things:

There are 2 ways for burial in the Muslim tradition
1. A Commoners burial
2. A Martyr burial

In the commoners way the body is washed 3 times than buried in a white sheet or something. In the martyr burial the body is not washed and they are buried in the cloths they died in. The US gave him a Commoners burial which is the best "in the end" slap in the face.
Customs are different all over the world and you have look at it from the other sides view.

As for the burial at sea... the US actually shopped the body around to find a home. LOL no one wanted it, not even the Saudis where his family is from.

Saudi Arabia declined a U.S. offer to take the body, according to a person familiar with the situation. A spokesman for the Saudi embassy declined to comment.

WSJ Article

They sure as hell were not going to bring him back to the US for burial. At sea was the best place to do it.

That isn't according to Islamic practices. Muslims should only be buried at sea if they die at sea. The 24 hours part is according to Islamic practices.

You have the ability to choose right and wrong and believe or not believe. Its easy to believe things you just have to believe from the heart and decide wether believe in it or not. Jesus was never in my face but i believe in him.

you choose to believe but that does'nt mean everybody else has to

The place of his death will now become the 'shrine' they feared.
To get to the sea, the helicopters would have had to have flown through Pakistani airspace twice (I understand they went 'back to base' first). Unless they went through India or Iran.
So basically, the burial at sea was a bit of a logistics nightmare if the Pakistanis were only told afterwards. The gov't of Pakistan are saying, "Of course we knew" (Just heard that on the BBC). Hmmmm.....who's not telling the whole story here?
