These children are being traumatized emotionally. They look to their parents to protect them, but in this video the mother is just standing there allowing it to take place.

This is the new normal that Janet Napolitano wants everyone to accept in the airport. Once they establish this as the new normal, it won't be long before roadside check points are set up, or bus stations will all have agents waiting to scan you or pat you down. I do believe this thread is plum full of disinfo agents too.

When she was a baby? Yep I bathed her. She hasn't had to have anyone bathe her since she was 4 years old. No one in my family including our doctor hasn't touched her as you see in the video. Nope. I'm thinking just fine, thank you.

I fully agree that no child should be subject to such a proceedure however it is the world we now live in. Where do you draw the line for public safety? if they didnt search any children and one was used as a bomb and blew up your family waiting in the airport terminal im sure you would ask why she wasnt searched.

No way in hell I'd let my child go through this. That being said, I don't believe flying on planes is a right. She should have just taken her child out of the situation and left. Though I was just informed that in the USA refusing these searches is a criminal offence. That's not right in the slightest. Another one of the many reasons I don't fly.

Lol it's amazing to me.... Regularly hear people calling for pedophiles to be castrated and hung in the streets etc, yet most people seem to be fine with a security agent touching up their kids... I know that would be a job I would be applying for if I was a pedophile....

You see most people do not grasp that we all, particularly our young are being prepared, conditioned, if you will to accept being groped.

I can't speak for anyone else, but for me the issue isn't one of inappropriate touching but rather of:

1) The indoctrination of children to accept and expect this kind of process
2) Fourth amendment concerns (What was the probable cause? Where is the warrant? On whose oath or affirmation has this been justified? Etc.)
3) Lack of consistency. If the aim is to ensure security, why is some cargo loaded onto aircraft not scanned or inspected, but all passengers are?

(I will acknowledge however that for many parents, any such contact by a stranger is unacceptable.)

As for your hope for civility, you can rest assured that you'll never receive anything other than decorum, respect, and fellowship from me, even if we should disagree. And your own decorum has been acknowledged and is very much appreciated (and too often lacking in many in my view, sadly.)

Unfortunately I have to agree with you. I have flown a lot all over the world (only continent I haven't been to is Antarctica) and the only time you get harassed is when flying to/from the US. If you are flying a US carrier then double the trouble. When flying on a non-US carrier to a country other than the US from a country other than the US you go through NONE of this BS. Most countries only make you walk through a metal detector; some don't even do that. There are no pat-downs or naked body scanners; no long lines waiting for someone to check your papers; no random stops for questions; no getting stopped on the jetway (yes, my family was stopped on the jetway to be "checked" years ago while people that should be checked walked right on board).

I fly to/from the US as little as possible and I avoid US carriers as much as possible. I know this isn't really an option for folks living in the US. I don't know what to tell you. TPTB know they have you over a barrel at the airport. Either you are travelling on business or on a discount fare ticket and you:
1) don't want to lose your money
2) don't want to lose your job
3) are just scared to death of the gestapo arresting you

TPTB count on this to conduct illegal, unconstitutional and unwarranted search and seizure.

So, for the foreseeable period when I can avoid flying to/from the US and/or on a US carrier I will do that. When I have no choice I will decide at that time if I will accept this invasion of my privacy and my rights or not. Hard to say until I am in that spot but I, like most people on this site who aren't "ATS forum tough-guys", also do not want any of the above 3 items to happen to me.

I appreciate the post but I disagree with your statements. I go regularly to Italy and every time I pass through Charles de Gaulle I am repeatedly questioned, pushed through a metal detector and questioned again. In fact, this happens in most EU countries. It is not just big bad America doing this.

Sure, in many third worlds they don't even have a metal detector...especially regionals. I can't think of a EU country that doesn't have advanced security and screenings though...even for regional flights.

I and many many other people all over the internet are totally disgusted that the government is feeling up little kids to see if they are a 'terrorist'. I don't care if a building blew up 10 years ago, there are other ways to do this, and the way the TSA is doing it now isn't doing anything anyways, people still get in with guns. So please tell me what I can do to help eliminate the body scanners and keep security guards from being required to feel up little kids. The kids can tell it's strange, they naturally have the instincts to tell them it's not good, but it seems some adults lack this knowledge. Letting creepers feel up little kids is not exactly my idea of safety. I have another idea for security that would work much better, and I'm sure there are other people who can tell you the same. All I want to know is how I, and many others online can make an impact to help bring this insanity to an end. Please get back to me about it soon.

So I'm hoping they let me know something I can do, cause I know they ain't going to do anything about it. They only receive thousands of messages a day, I consider this to be a small quantity, I'm pretty sure I'll get a response.

That all depends on the mindset of the person doing the touching and the emotional response of the person being touched. With all due respect there is no way any of us can know definitively the mindset of either in this case.
My wife was molested by a family Dr. when she was 10. He of course, claimed that it was not "inappropriate". To this day she insists that she sees a female Dr. and either me or another family member is present.

There are examples of TSA agents that have abused their authority and made comments of a sexual nature. Not all of these TSA employees are upstanding individuals. And just because she is a female does not ensure that she does not derive some sick pleasure out of touching, or patting down the genitals of a preteen. This is a sick world we live in and seems to be getting sicker every day.
