As my J-school professor, (Media Law) always says....

"If you don't have an opinion get the (Be creative) out of here. You don't deserve to live."

Real quote, and you know what?

He's right, we all the right to raise an opinion regardless of what we know....

Hell I raise my hand in that class often, only to get shot down.

You win some- you lose some.

By the way, I don't know how you survive on ATS.. Considering majority of of posts on this site are similar to the one you responded to.

None of us know...

Thats... why.... We speculate.

Don't doubt the power of hypothetical brain storming.

Yay for ATS and the people on it that are willing to question controversial topics and are willing to face the absurd wrath of the people who are scared or living in a cloud of ignorance.

Nuclear scientists being murdered is not new and is quite a notable and prolific problem. Here is a link to a page that I would strongly encourage everyone to read. Especially, I would encourage the people that think it is ridiculous to consider that this scientist may have been murdered. It details hundreds of scientists that have been killed or died in suspicious ways. After you read it it is very difficult to imagine that most of the deaths are suicides www.apfn.org...

Obviously, this is a time when people are talking about nuclear issues. So, that may have had something to do with his death whether it was murder or suicide. Of course, it could just have been a normal suicide.

Oh, just a thought...why did he rent a car?

A opinion with arguments which are based on nothing is just lame, you cannot say that the fellow is murdered and that "they" have looked like it was suicide. You have no proof of that.

Here is the bridge he was found at the bottom of.
It is the 5th highest bridge in the US, and is well known for suicides. It has been featured in the movies Natural Born Killers and Wild Hogs.

That was John Wheeler. He was a former army officer with a high clearance and govt connections who was found dead in early Jan (2011) but his death was obviously not a suicide (ended up in a landfill from a trash bin). That one was fishy, too,,,,and what about all of the microbiologists who had met an untimely demise a few years ago?????

I find it very hard to digest that he didn't express his intentions in his note that he left behind.
I'm curious as to how many people that commit suicide express their intentions in a letter.
I'll say most of them, whether a letter, facebook, email.

This article is very short blurb from a paper. It doesn't go into any specific of his life, marital status,
alcohol, drug problems.I won't rule those out since NASA just found coc aine in their building.

Maybe he was posting on the Japan ATS section

Let's make a movie about this man shall we.

A renowned nuclear scientist designed nuclear facility all around the world and make sure that there is sufficient backup systems in those power plants to avoid any accident.
He smelled a rat when suddenly all the backup system in the power plant in Japan failed one after another.
He knew he was to be blamed for the inadequacy of his designs, wich where not a malfunction by any means, so the only answer to him was that the plant was sabotaged.
So he grabed all is notes and technical stuff for the last 10 years and give all of it to someone because he knows his life is in danger.
He understand that his superiors are well known in the elite world. They are suspicious about him and when they discover that the last 10 years of his work have dissapear, some agents or if you prefer, assassins where hired to silence him and make sure that nobody will suspect that in fact, the Japanese plant was safe and sound but someone wanted to created a false flag event for their benefit.

Why the hell would this guy choose a place to commit suicide, where would leave no foot prints, to prove he commited suicide ? What kind of law enforcement officer would believe such a perposterous notion?

You act like people do not commit suicide by jumping from bridges. The Taos gorge bridge is one of the highest bridges in the US, and lots of people have jumped from it unfortunately. Every other week on average someone jumps from the Golden Gate bridge.

I used to live just outside of Taos, and suicides from that bridge are nothing new. This whole thread is just rumormongering and pretending to be able to dianose why someone died, just from reading an internet news article.

The conspiracy peanut gallery often has not qualms about using a tragedy to promote a conspiracy. Educated people can have depression issues too, go through breakups, or find themselves with a terminal illness. Lets not cast aspersion on the dead.

Its more than a bit sad too when people act like they know more about the case, from reading a news article, than the law enforcement people who are involved in it,

What is knowing too much? At what point does knowing endanger TPT_B?

Very good info silversight about the correlation of prominent scientists who have been found dead, with suicide as the cause.

I knew about govenment facilities, but exactly what commercial facilities are they refering to.
I do feel it could be consider suspicious he dies after a major nuclear event. Is their any evidence he was sick physically. Seems like a pretty smart individual to commit suicide. Make's me think. S&F for you

I suspect that the deepest black operations going on in the military and intelligence are a horrible place to find yourself working; probably comparable to working for the mafia. Even if this death really was a suicide, the fact remains that there is a long and documented history of nuclear scientists and others with highly valuable knowledge becoming targets for the Machiavellian ambitions of military inner circles.

Dogs have been known to eat cookies. But when you come home and all the cookies are missing from the jar, are you more likely to blame the dog, or your 6-year old kid who loves cookies?

It's certainly possible he committed suicide. And I don't pretend to know what information the police may have. But when a fish stinks, you say it smells fishy.

I believe that he knew something that tpt_b would be exposed for regarding nuclear operations. I cannot see a man of reasoning and high logic dissolving his life for guilt..hell as a scientist he knows he is privvy to info that is a heavy burden, any highly learned individual who holds info pertaining to the better of all humankind is.

I could be wrong but more than likely I am not. I know dedicated scientists and their nature (while very eccentric) live for the knowledge of their areas. Hell, I as one of them cannot see myself taking the cowards way out, too much to live for! This is Planet Earth, and its inhabitants are very strange, anti-social beings no matter the IQ! Just does not add up all personal/life issues taken in account!

*Strange, very interestingly strange!

If only I had the power to be face-to-face with some of the government officials, I would mentally abuse them. I will never understand how tricky they try to be but in these modern days, no secret can be kept.

Since my post there have been alot of good additions to the thread including; facts surrounding Mr. Dickey's work history and events surrounding the incident. As we keep reading and waiting we'll get to the bottom of the tragedy. Like I said in my earlier post, may he RIP.

After reading this I checked CNN.com and Fox news. I couldn't find anything on this suicide. Had to get it from some something called Taos news? If I read it right, the nuclear scientist left his car in the middle of the bridge. Sounds to me like he was stopped by someone and then thrown over.
