That figures. If the military cant screw it up nobody can. I once spent 35 hours on MAC flight just to get from South Carolina to Norfolk Virginia. It went all over hell and back before I got home. I could damned near have walked / hitchhiked quicker. Hang in there kid.

Hey everyone, I'm finally in the Mainland, in California atm. Tomorrow we're heading for Washington. The evacuations have started, they're actually getting through as planned, just a little late. I'll still be getting some news through my friends who still have not evacuated. School is not canceled, for the people who did not evacuated. If you evacuated, the minimum you would stay is a month, with an allowance, all the way to six months. If you have a child and you stay for more than 3 weeks you must enroll your child to a local school, some people are moving for good. Right now my family is not sure if we'll be coming back to Japan, everything's complicated. For me, I just want to stay out of Japan for now.

sending prayers to you and all around. stay strong. people are really praying and sending love to Japan on enormous levels.

when this started to go down began a yoga practice for Japan. imagining i am a proxy for each and every person there. not that i have that power, but it helps soothe me and feels like i am doing something to help.

there is a layer of the body's electromagnetic field called the gene layer. it can be strengthened to become impervious to radiation. ancient yoga texts talked about space wars and such. so these practices used to be secret and only for kings/elite classes supposedly. not that this is scientifically tested. but it makes me feel stronger. you don't have to wear a turban. also sometimes have to sit propped up on pillows b/c the energy is overwhelming at times (in a good way).

fyi: it is a blessing that relocation is assisted/optional. here we need (ed) that for New Orleans/Gulf Coast.

Hey fellas I've been in WA for about 3 days now but I'm heading out for Cali on Sunday to visit some relatives with the family. The evacuations are almost finished for everyone in Japan, most of my friends are in LA or Seattle right now. The tap water is indeed not safe over there. Thanks for all your support people, right now I'm just hoping the best for everyone over there and the best for everyone over here if anything affects us here in the West Coast. We were supposed to come back to Japan soon, but my father called where he worked and they said no one can come into Japan, but can come out. For now we might go to school in Cali or Washington so we'll be here for a while. I'll be back soon, me getting wi-fi is challenging over here.

Radiation has been found in Massachusetts rainwater
Boston.com article

Low levels of radioactive iodine likely resulting from the nuclear accident in Japan have been detected in a sample of rainwater in Massachusetts, state health officials said today. The amounts of radioiodine are very low concentrations and should have no impact on state drinking water supplies, John Auerbach, commissioner of the Department of Public Health, told reporters. The rain sample was taken during the past week in Boston as part of regular monitoring of radioactivity on the environment by the US Environmental Protection Agency. No detectable increases in radiation have been discovered in the air, Auerbach said, and there are no expected public health concerns. "The drinking water supply in Massachusetts is unaffected by this short-term, slight elevation in radiation," he said. "However, we will carefully monitor the drinking water as we exercise an abundance of caution."

Sorry I couldn't find the other thread for radiation

Hey guys just found out that Atsugi is getting scanned for radiation, everyone who evacuated had to get scanned. "It's getting worse" is basically what I'm saying, maybe soon everyone might get evacuated. I feel bad for the people who are still there just because they are the sponsors or because their parents don't want to join in the evacuation. Atm I'm in California but we might go back to Washington, thanks for everyone who's been hoping for the best throughout this thread
