Its hard to believe I am sitting here in silence, watching this go down live... I counted one 8.8 and 3 (6.4-7.2) Aftershocks and something small in Hawaii (maybe?) Is there a better site for updates besides USGS?

Yes, according to USGS it has been upgraded, Hawaii and the US West coast could have a rough morning if an ocean-wide tsunami was generated.

That was crazy watching the tsunami coming in on live tv.
I saw drivers on a bridge making u-turns trying to get out of there.
One lady who was reporting from the scene, well the signal stopped and not sure what happened to her.
This is a crazy time we live in. It can`t all be normal everyday occurences.
Too many big earthquakes going off, crazy weather. What`s with the upcoming supermoon?

Now they`re updating this earthquake to 8.9 as I`m typing.

Its just been upgraded to 8.9 Earthquake cnn reports

I've heard of some injuries so far, but nothing about any deaths.
A man here in LA on the news is trying to call family in Tokyo & can't get through.

Yeah I edited my post when I figured that out... I haven't owned a TV in years, so my first thought when you said CNN was internet..

they just upgraded it again to a 8.9 mag quake .. jesus christ..

So 8.9 with 2 6.4, a 6.8 and a 7.1 that have all been confirmed within the last hour.

im seeing 8.9 now on usgs. lol wow quite a few posted this same thing sorry!!

Just saw aerial video of a huge tsunami, there are going to be thousands of deaths.

Any possibility on having anything to do with the recent solar activity??? What will the X-class flare bring? Just saying, now we have more energy on the way and aftershocks to add to the mix that will reverberate world wide. Looking for some educated opinions please . . .

OMG! Did you see the footage of the tsunami!? Devastation! Can't find a video online yet, but this is way worse that I thought it was
