It could really mean any number of things depending on circumstances, which is why the concern for them is so great.
I'm almost positive ANYTHING that posed an immediate threat from the nuclear facilities would be announced almost immediately and immediate and huge
action taken. That would mean disaster for the world...
I'm no expert on nuclear reactors and such, but they did report the backup generators for cooling reactors #1,#2 at that specific planet mentioned
earlier was malfunctioning. They've gone over this information many, many times. As far as I can tell that only poses a threat if they want it to
continue running. If they've stopped all operation at the plants, the lack of cooling won't make it explode or fallout.
It could be anything from a leak in the reactor leaking radiation and nasty stuff into the environment, or an explosion. That is the #1 risk in a
natural disaster like this, and their main priority in confirming threats.
I've been staying up to date with the multiple feeds, hearing NO conclusive information except for them informing us about the backup generators for
the one plant, which has already been managed in line with the others by disabling them immediately. There are official reports ALL 5 nuclear reactors
have been shut down, no further concern about them at this time.
The operator of the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear plant reported an abnormality Friday following a powerful earthquake which hit a wide area in northeastern
Japan including Fukushima Prefecture, the industry ministry said. The system to cool reactor cores in case of emergency stopped at the No. 1 and No. 2
reactors of the plant operated by Tokyo Electric Power Co., it said. Read more:

This is all that has been said about the nuclear reactors. Do not panic over this, there is no risk at this time unless something significantly
changes to put the stations at risk. AT this time they are all shut down, and they are aware of any issues. The only emergency is that they are
without the use of those plants... and who knows for how long. We know that Fukushima won't be up and running again until they get main power working
again, and can get the backup systems working again. It IS shut down though.
Time for bed... Will hope that things stay as they are now. It seems like it's just managing what's already happened at this time. Best wishes to
those on the coast lines. Stay vigilant, safe, and keep best of spirits through these tough times. This is world history, make it something to be
proud of!
