All I have heard on Al Jazeera, which I was watching from work for the last couple hours, to what I am hearing on CNN now that I am home is that the nuclear plants were all shut down as per protocol anytime there is an earthquake.

Does anyone have a link or video clip or anything that says something is wrong with the reactors? This is very worrying if true.

Nuclear Reactors in trouble?

Im in LA. Sky is pitch black. There might be a slight hue of purple, but its barely noticable if noticable at all.

I did some meditation outside, and i feel much easier now. I recommend people getting off the coastlines(ie. Malibu) and heading inland.

The giant 2012 tidal wave is not heading for us, but do evacuate the coasts.

Watching the live stream on The BBC the Japanese PM just said "SOME" of the nuclear power plants have shut down safely.....

Kinda scary huh?

My co-worker in our Japan office responded to my first email 2 hours ago. He hasn't responded to my second email though. I think Tokyo ended their work day early. I can't imagine how it is over there with all of those aftershocks.

People must be really scared.

Quite possibly just an overreaction by the people here, but looks like Waikoloa on the Big Island of Hawai'i is in a panic. Just sped to the ATM to withdraw all the cash I could, was a mile-long line for the only gas station in the area.

Cars were streaming up from the coast, non-stop. Hopefully all for nothing, but folks are definitely reacting to all this...
