Also I would like to say that I dont think women OR men should be judged on their womanhood or manhood based on where they are from. Women and Men in all parts of the world have different rights, those rights dont make them good or bad as a whole. There are women and men all over the world that lack their typical sexual characteristics. Try to think with an open heart and soul. Also, a lot of girls in the us (same as everywhere im sure) do spend hours with the men we truly love trying to get to know them. Sorry if this seems like a rant I suppose it is.

I am beside myself with the offensive comments I am reading! Let me make myself clear. I am a woman and:

I work in a management position
I am a single mother of 3
I am intelligent
I will never be made silent by ANYONE
I hold myself with grace
I cook
I clean
I sew
I crochet

I also:
take out the garbage
mow the lawn
fix the plumbing and whatever else needs to be fixed
I am mom and dad

Do you know why I am mom and dad? Because there are no more men of integrity and women have been made to pick up the slack! The princesses are now rescuing the princes. I don't think the men of the "west" know what to do with a complete woman.

There are no more men of integrity because such men don't fit nowadays women anymore. Men tried to adapt the new cult of women who are careless of what life is. I blame the issue totally on women.

You are correct. Once again everyone else is swirving off the main topic. This is about Women vs Women...Not Women vs Men.

Yes, I agree with you. Women nowadays forget their traditional role. They tend to become competitive with men and want to be like us. They want to have equal social and financial status. This is not entirely a bad thing, however I believe modern society takes these values beyond healthy proportions. Remember, we are still animals and animals are biological beings who function in certain natural ways. Men are more muscular and suited for physical labor while women have features such as breasts that allow them to raise children. What we are doing nowadays contradicts our evolutionary characteristics. In other words, feminism is somewhat unnatural. I know there will be a lot of feminists who disagree with me but if you think about it what are you sacrificing for your ideals? You are sacrificing a harmonious family for the sake of increased independence. Is it really worth it when your children grow into wayward adults? As a result, moral values are decreasing due to a lack of parental discipline. Related issues such as divorce, birth control, abortion, etc. are all tied into this. It is a concerted effort to shatter the family unit. You may not believe what I say, but take a look at society now and facts do not lie.

It is wonderful that you are such a good parent. However, this thread is asking what effects the lack of traditional female values are posing to western society. It is not a matter of personal discussion. There are bound to be both good and bad women out there as well as men. We need to look at the bigger picture. And the divorce rate in the US is one of the highest in the world.

There are no genes determining purely feminine or male characteristics. Men use to wear pink and purple as purple was a royal colour, now if a man wears purple he's labeled gay. Times change as do social norms. its natural, its a new method of thinking. There is nothing wrong with men being more feminine or women being more masculine or holding the same values. We are all the same and the sooner we learn this the sooner we can all get along.

Sorry ladies, some of us are "classical" "traditional" "modern" use whatever word you want to describe yourself. The fact is you should be whoever you FEEL you are. If that means you want to play with the boys and have the same roles they do then GO FOR IT. Life is about happieness and self fulfillment. Do what you like. There are plenty of different men around the world. Some will love your independecy, and others will prefer a more traditional women. Thats just how it is. We as women should not allow ourselves to be deterred in anyway. If you want to cook for your man, and wait on him hand and knee then DO IT. I believe that either way, what is romantic and acceptable to you is not the same for others. We all have different morals and priorities.

I'd say I'm pretty decent. I'm a 20 year old male who has been raising a daughter that isn't even mine (my late ex girlfriend who got pregnant at 16) for 2 years now, I do have help from my older sister and mother but it who wouldn't do this ? The mother never sees her beautiful daughter only maybe once every 2 weeks and she lives off the child's benefit money which is sad because we aren't in the greatest situation money wise but I still try my best everyday and bring this child up as if it were my blood (which doesn't matter). So hey there are some guys out there taking on the 'female roles'

ETA - IMO, this is the same as duality, good or evil this or that when in actual fact the truth is neither really exist it's just your stance of what values you think matter to you. So sure we can say evolution and our traits say we'd be good at this because of being muscular thus we must stick to and only do that or whatever but in this day and age the truth is almost everything is do-able regardless of gender it's ones' drive to achieve that counts.

That's all fine and good except that there is a biological difference in men and women to the degree that the weakest man in the world can likely beat up the strongest woman in the world. So there is more to gender than JUST a social construct.

Perhaps all of the "men of integrity" want nothing to do with the typical American woman these days.

Men havent really changed, women have, and it always hasnt been for the better.

I totally agree with the poster. Our "free" modern society is currupting our human values more and more every day. I wonder when this crazy cycle will end, if it will. I live in Brazil and we are going through the "Americanization process" here. Everything is so different compared to five years ago. Women now have no respect whatsoever for their body, their mind and their men. They dress like sluts in schools, colleges, workplaces, parties. They act like whores. Worse than that, I get a feeling that women want to be treated like whores in a way, no disrespect for the good women. But as a man this is what I see. I feel like people have lost faith in marriage. People wanna #, #, # and get as drunk and high as they can afford, sometimes as they can't afford. It's just unmotivating to see society being so competitive. People don't know their neighbors anymore. I barely know mines. What is wrong with this feminist movement? It's a way to masculinize women. I feel like women are going through the "healing process" if we may call it. They have been excluded from some parts and jobs in society and stereotyped for so long that now it's like they're subconciously getting back at men.
Most of them(well pretty much all girls I know) are only interested in money, social status, drugs and perversion.
Women want to dress showing cleavage, showing off their asses....they don't want boyfriends anymore, they want # partners so all the good shy guys who would probably become good boyfriends and nice fathers are now being dumped in the trash without even a chance.
Women want to # with the bad guys and then # with more bad guys. They don't wanna settle. They wanna live life just like a thug that leaves prison after 20 years in - don't giving a # about anything or anyone.
That's probably why they pierce their noses, tongues, temples, chins, ears, nipples and genital organs too. That's probably why they copy famous people a.k.a illuminati puppets's every move and tattoos like "We will laugh at guilded butterflies". Women don't have personality anymore. They just adapt to the environment they are in and currupt their nonexisting values and beliefs according to nowadays standards.
In other words, they don't give a # about anything anymore, they don't want to make families or have children, they understand the risk of unprotected sex but again, don't give a # about it, they want their own job, their own money, pay their own bills and still take advantage of rich men and suck off all their energy and funds as fast as they can, they want to look like whores and get noticed in the streets by other men and get hated by less attractive females and at the same time have a rich boyfriend to take her for rides around for social status, however they still complain about the rate of rapes. Women want to be free outside the door, see whoever they want and do their # but want to be spanked and #ed to death between four walls and if you're a premature shooter they will laugh at you and if you take too long they'll just stop #ing you when they want and re-appoint your "#ing day bonus".
What do men make of this feminist movement? You don't have to ask us. Just look at how we are living as a whole. We hate this #ed up movement. It's the worst thing there has ever happened. It completely destroyed our lives and our future. We might as well die victims to atom bombs now. People smoke all sorts of things, do all sorts of drugs.....all this to get away from reality. Because there is something really wrong with it.
If the human race don't get together and start acting like thinking animals we will not last very long. We are killing ourselves slowly and accept it, when we start dieing faster there will be nothing else to do. We will just accept we fail as a race and then suicide. And all this, all this because we don't love each other. Now women are egocentric abusive, aggressive and angry while men are depressed, drugged, out of their minds living each day as if it was their last one. Everything because it is hard as hell to be 20's these days and find a decent woman that respects you and herself. We need to bring our values back again....and this time we have to make sure women get them or this battle will be just lost and we will have to find other globe to populate.

It was funny when you said you will never become silent to anyone. Why is it that women nowadays attack men before we even do anything?
Women want to rule men and tell them what to do but this does not work. You can't just tell a man what to do, especially when you force us to use alcohol and drugs as a escape from reality.
This is so sad....What is even sadder is that you think there are no men of integrity, in my opinion, there are no woman of integrity(that i have found). We will never move anywhere from this discussion.
Both men and women need to intense their efforts at becoming better people I guess.

I'm not a good writer so please excuse that, sorry. First off, a huge congratulations to you for now living somewhere that you have more freedoms/choices/options, and also a lot of respect for having the courage to move somewhere that's different from what you are use to. Unfortunately, there are many unknown variables, I'm not sure how good I can answer.

I think the root of the difference is that (Over the last 40 or so years) females in Western society no longer "Need" a man to take care of them, because women are able to working decent jobs. This I believe, removes a lot of the pressure for women to feel the need to worry about how mankind views them over all, which I think is good.

As for the qualities you mention and their value, ABSOLUTELY there are men that will value the same things you do with out a doubt in my mind. I've had the good luck to work with 100's of people from over 70 different countries (I'm in America) and all of the women love their freedoms/choices, (Provided that they are not being oppressed by their husbands) and that's just it, YOU get to choose how you would like to act and behave.

I hope that helped some, or at least made some sense. Just try to remember, to be exactly as YOU would like to be, and don't ever let anyone change you, unless YOU want to change yourself. All the best and have a good one.

lol i grew up around a bunch of males, 40+ years ago. i learned to defend myself. being beat up at the bus stop one time too many, made sure of that. i think the western woman is more like this:
