Agreed. A GPS chip is not necessary to track anyone 24/7. RFID will do the same job through readers placed everywhere.

They will threaten, intimidate and harass in an attempt to force compliance with this law and others like it. States left and right are declaring 10th amendment protection to stop this from proceding. They need your support and voices.

Somewhere, I still think there will be some kind of incremental compromise on this. And the end result will probably be worse than the original idea. TPTB know full well the public wants nothing to do with this technology, but they'll keep pursuing it anyway.

I've been hearing about this a lot. I know of the run off's this topic has produced such thing's as getting the GPS and biometric reading from a capsule that get's injected into you with a flu shot. Sounded far fetched to me. This thread proves that is not the case. I'm just happy our imaginations haven't got the best of us. I am all for a National ID card. Not only will it weed out the illegal aliens but it can be used to save lives.


Just thinking these can serve as our credit card's too.

in poland everybody have id cards. its not a big deal.

This is a very similar sounding card to what the dockworkers in LA and Long Beach ports have to carry. It is a condition of employment. The workers where told about 2 years ago that they must pass a background check, be fingerprinted and PURCHASE this TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Card) in order to be allowed into the terminals at the ports. This card has their information within it on a chip and also a gps tracking device. Big brother is definitely watching. This may have been an early attempt to see how easy it would be to get people to accept this sort of thing.

Oh sorry!!!! I thought you had to microwave it to activate it, kind of like popcorn. My bad!

On another note, let's say these do come out. How long until they're hacked? I mean, for example, Apple does all they can to prevent their iPhones/iPods/iPads from being hacked, but hackers always seem to find a loophole within a short period of time. Now something like this, where literally everyone would have one, i give them a week

Actually, those implanted chips are passive. You will need a scanner in order to be able to follow a 'citizen' around. Kinda like those things they call cell phone towers which keep getting things added to them. Seen all the antenna on those things?
Also the broadcast system changed to HD not for your entertainment, but to free up the analog bandwith so these things are projecting info of some type.
Why TV Abandoned Analog?

It's been some years now, but used to be you could buy a driver's license in the Caribbean, and use it when stopped by police. Because of the courtesy the nations extend to each other for visitors, a foreign DL is supposed to be respected. Canadians for example are not asked to take a test if visiting the US, they simply drive, and present their Canadian license, if pulled over.

I know because I used to own some Mail box etc. locations, and I had customers who did this. One was a guy who had his license pulled because of DWI, and he was always ready with a little "accent" he practiced, and a follow-up friendly question for the cops about "how to get to" the biggest tourist trap in town. Worked at least once, not sure how long he kept that going.

Another 80ish elderly guy had come from "somewhere", and didn't share his particular need for a Caribbean license, but he had one too. I figured his eyesight might have been the problem, he had monster coke-bottle glasses, and maybe he just couldn't pass the eye test anymore.

I wonder now if some nation down that way still issues licenses like this.

I don't get it... How would they be refused road and highway funding if the residing people in said state pay for the roads and highways? Roads and Highways are taken out of state taxes not Federal...

You'll have to slap DHS. It's on their website. And the date is for state compliance, if I'm reading that right.

According to the wiki entry that the article supposedly references:

While I oppose it still, there's no reason to believe that this card is a rfid, GPS enabled, data emitting mini computer. The original article seems dishonest at best. When will people realize that hyperbolic lies will only hurt their cause, not help it?

Even if you will try to fry your chips you will be arrested for destruction government property. My US passport says its the property of the USG. No its not its mine. The minute your blip falls off the screen a SWAT team will be waiting outside your house.
