Well, I questioned what you said and found this:

Seems like you could get up to 7 years for growing the plant.

I was sceptical until I read the source.
You can even get 7 years for opening up a PDF on how to grow the darned things.

I'm a clean-living grandma, and not into drugs apart from an occasional coffee, but now I'm determined to investigate a few possibilities while they are still possible.

Good job Australia.
You made me laugh today.

Your quite right..

But by making such a thing illegal, over 3.5million Australian Nursery, Bushland, Rangers, Field Officers, and countless other workers within the NRM industry would have to find new jobs..!!

Is that funny enuf for ya?

This doesn't surprise me the slightest since we are the elite's slaves.

'___' is also the last mind-expanding drug they would want the sheeple using. It would wake them up in seconds!

If the legislation passes can hand-in their shamanic plants to me so I can safely dispose of them

Well, good for you.
You sound like my grandma.
If she was still around she would be right next to you, "Investigating" with you.
Good luck in your " Investigation"

Is there a list of these plants somewhere? It's hard to imagine this happening in the US because of all the crazy environmentalists we have here.

I must say this whole thing is surprising because it sounds so ridiculous. But the more I learn about this chemical, the more it makes sense. TPTB don't want us to have access to anything that will wake us up. But even if they destroyed all plant life on earth, we could still produce this ourselves in our bodies through meditation. So really, they can't completely control us unless we allow it.

Thanks for taking the time to actually do some research but you miss the point on the line you highlighted.

It says that punishment is for cultivating, processing etc FOR COMMERCIAL purposes.

People who would make this drug from plants for commercial purposes rarely have peoples wellbeing at heart.

This is a powerful drug and if missused can be very dangerous.

That was the first spokesperson who said that. The second spokesperson with correct information clarified that there are no provision to allow for single plants.
A single plant may still be forcibly removed and you may still receive a criminal charge .

304.3 Selling controlled plants
(1) A person commits an offence if:
(a) the person sells a plant; and
(b) the plant is a controlled plant.
Penalty: Imprisonment for 10 years or 2,000 penalty units, or both.
(One penalty unit is about $110.00)

Do you really want to chance that this could happen to your grandma, local nursery, council garden etc. etc?
I have also had a friend accused of selling marijuana, when all they had was their own plant and jewellery bags in the house.

Not only this, but the government know they can make money out of this by botanists needing to apply and pay for exemption.

My fb page is getting numbers, only 78 so far but thats 77 more people then 1!
www.facebook.com...

Not long to go now guys, hopefully we can close this thread with some good news!

Why is this thread still going? I'm a Nursery worker in Queensland Australia. I have not heard that this is going to happen. All the other plants on the garden site are already illegal. They will never destroy all our native flora just to control '___'. It will not happen. You think you have crazy environmentalists over there, ours grab and ship and take on whale hunters, they block governments from building dams, they would never let this happen.

I know the document says any plant containg '___', but i think it relates specifically to the plant from South Africa.

Oh I see, and since you work in a nursery you must know everything that goes on. Are you also trying to say that Queenslanders are better then the rest of the country when it comes to keeping up to date with current events? Are you saying that as one queenslander you know better then anybody else on this thread?

Are you also suggesting that the ABC coverage was made up?
Listen mate, if you don't want to get involved, nobody is forcing you to. I just hope for your sake that your business and customers will not be affected.
Some of the plants are already banned, but this legislation will allow stronger enforcement. Have you seen how much time in jail they would like you to do for one plant? This isnt fighting drug trafficking, this is outrageous.

Oh Okay attack me, I'm just one of the people you need to support this, but you go ahead and put me down. No I'm just saying that I have heard nothing of this, can only find articles on it in other forums or one newspaper which it all relates to GardenFreedom. Are you the same person that has started threads about this on multiple other sites. I mean it is plastered thick.

Your link won't work for me either, so that is just making me more suspicious. Why instead of fighting the whole illegalisation thing, why would you just not ask for people to only be convicted when they are producing, growing or selling '___', or when it can be proven the plants are for use with this?

It not like ol' bessie with her fifty wattles in her backyard is likely to be, secretly constructing a '___' lab in her back yard.

People aren't just getting a couple of leaves and ash, and chewing anymore. They are breaking down these plants and making it like a pharmaceutical drug.

Also '___' is sacred in Australia to the Aborigines, taken this when you are not Aboriginal in this way, without permission and without ceremony is very rude.

I think you have an Ulterior motive, you don't seem to have even considered this. I think you don't want them to make '___' a criminal offence. I'm sorry to say it already is.
