I checked today and see Erad3's post stars are back to perhaps his original 3 instead of the 100 I saw he had yesterday. It is noteworthy that not many took him seriously at the time of his postings and suggested he re-gather his thoughts more coherently or get back on his meds or similar such comments. I think it also noteworthy the someone(s) awarded his posts extra stars after the AZ shooting for whatever reason for doing so.

I note he never made any violent suggestions in his posts - none that I read, and I read many but not all his posts. He had some strange ideas (don't we all??) about space flight and other topics such as world currencies, but did not seem to be an advocate of violence.

It might do well to remind everybody who posts ANYWHERE on the internet that their posts may well remain in the public eye for later scrutiny for all of eternity. What you post today may come back to haunt you at some time later in life, just be careful, mindful of what you say, and think before you hit "send" (or whatever is appropriate for a given site).

As for myself I do not worry that someone somewhere may read what I post because that really is the idea, no? I just like to be mindful of my public demeanor and in all aspects of my life strive to be the best person I can be, however I may decide to define that notion at any given time.

There is news breaking from a friend of Jared's that said he had a grudge against the congresswomen,

Jared was also into lucid dreaming and kept a journal, the friend said if you want to know who Jared is read his journal, Jared also left a message on this friends answering machine before the shooting,

also the police department knew Jared had made death threats.

I don't have any links yet.

This will be good for ATS.

In showbiz, it is known that any attention is good attention. In our case:

The sheeple that would not bring much to our site's conversations anyway will at least have heard of ATS.

Seekers will research the site and find out that ATS is much more than what the media claim it to be, which will give our member population a skyrocketing boost!

This is a win-win situation, as we members are not liable for people who join the site and do crazy things. We can only benefit from the MSM coverage, and those who associate ATS with the negativity of this isolated incident will forever brand themselves as sheeple.

I say LET THEM THROW STONES!

I don't care if he was a member here it does not bother me one bit. I don't like the fact he killed people but I think the ATS owners just need to have their lawyers handy just in case. I doubt they would try to shut this site down because of this but you never know.

"I have maybe made a mistake is my assessment of your avatar, because for that to be the case, you'd have to be at least somewhat rational, but I think youre frankly schizophrenic, and no that's not an amateur opinion and not intended as an uninformed or insulting remark, you clearly make no sense and are unable to communicate. I really do care.
Seek help before you hurt yourself or others or start taking your medications again, please. Maybe, it'd be better for some there be an infinite source of haldol or cogentin then fiat currency.

[edit on 11-7-2010 by mordant1] "

The above comments in the ATS topic "Infinite Source of Currency?" did prove to be true. Strange that the user who made the comment 'mordant1' is also banned. Why would that be?

Some commentators and politicians have blamed violent rhetoric and hatred conveyed in the media for the shooting. "People think now if they want to make a statement, they can do that by bringing bodily harm to someone who doesn't agree with them," Democratic Representative Ed Pastor said on CNN.

Reading Erad3's profile I think it noteworthy also that his last post here was dated 7 June 2010 and the last visit logged on to ATS was in September of last year. It is also notable that such information is readily available onsite.

ATS is an intellectual think tank where professionals and students alike come together to dscuss the latest topics, ponder on age old questions involving everything affecting mankind and his environment, and put forth fresh perspectives before the minds of our peers for them to ponder upon themselves.

ATS is NOT a group of ragtag anarchists or antichrists conspiring institutional downfalls, individual assassinations, or the like.

ATS discourages violence (from what I've observed) even when many a disgruntled voice approached the membership with calls to arms and patriotism. We believe in a FREE society and ultimately understand that the goodwill of men will prevail in any event.

ATS has a diverse membership that includes doctors, lawyers, law enforcement, miliary personnel, scholars, students, philosophers, scientists, politicians, and general society, from all walks of life, and from around the world.

It's no wonder that ATS would be scrutinized by those outside of our membership, because the success of ATS places their own institutional policies on the table for discussion, and they don't like to be dissected in such manner.

i don't forsee it, but i really hope nothing happens to this place.
ATS is soo much more than just conspiracy talk. i've learned a mass amount and looked into many amazingly interesting sites and things on this earth that i had no idea about untill someone here posted a thread or spoke about.

so keep up the good work y'all. this is my most interesting bookmark, and the site i learn the most from.

I guess now is the best point in time to show that the representative is wrong. I'm not so lacking in intelligence and one sided that I have to make a point through violence, how about you folks?

I hope all the spooks(CIA,FBI,NSA)out there saw the research we all did here through the weekend. I really think ATS members connected the dots between the gunman this site and NASA before the media or law enforcement did. Did we just do there job for them? I would say yes. Have we done there job for them before? Probably. This is just more reason this site needs to be protected. Not because the gunman just so happened to be a member here, but the fact the community had enough grit to do the research and find out what was/is really going on here.

The government should put us on there payroll. We will get the job done, this site almost feels like a mini think tank at times. Bin Laden let us at him we will find the guy, let us do the next 9-11 comission report we will get to the bottom of it. Hell give us the horizion oil spill, and the birds falling out of the sky while they are at it. The ATS community will sort this $hit out once and for all.

Only joking of course... I'll keep the job i've got, till nasa offers me a spot on the aurora. Oops that slipped...
And hello to the fed's if your reading this.

this doesnt do any of us members any good.

sure hes just done what most of us want to do...shoot a politician?? most of us would love to lol...obviously its terrible he killed other people also

when 1 man stands up and goes after TPTB violently he gets sent down...put in the public eye for a short time...ridiculed and in this case...they can make out all ATS or conspiracy theorists are like this man.

it takes more than 1 man...if EVERYONE got a gun and stood against TPTB things would change...untill enough people do...we'l never get anywhere.

mordant1, a member who has since been banned, typed this response to the shooter in November:

This incident is going to become the epitome of hyperbole.

Anyone checked out the "story" about the "shrine" in his backyard?
www.nydailynews.com...
On one hand, he could have seriously had this in his backyard and had been praying to Chtulu. Or whatever.

On the other hand, I'd be happy to stack up some empty beercans on some tablecloth, like some candles, and prey to Jagermeister (and take a picture of it) to remind you all that a "shrine" can be anything... And could definately be thrown together in a few minutes. By media hacks looking to "spice up" a story, or unscrupulous men in black suits looking to cover up some "muddy footprints". The truth is, as convoluted and crazy as the news and politics are getting, most of us average Joes aren't EVER going to know the full truth about what went on to contribute to all this"

But, I think everyone- EVERYONE, needs to shut up and listen to the father of the 9 year old girl who was killed in the shooting.

The traitors in Congress are already writing laws to ban saying anything that might be considered offensive which of course is completing trashing our free speech. This is all the plan though. I'll bet you $5 this guy was on Big Pharma psychotropic drugs! Every mass shooter in recent memory has been.
