The Secret's Out: Internet Media Is Beginning to Report That Jared Loughner Is a Member Of Abovetop

It's pretty evident he was mentally ill. Having said that, it should be a reminder to all of us to FACT CHECK our opinions and act rationally and logically. ATS is a fun site, with lots of interesting theories...but of course there's also a fair share of nutjobs who believe in the whole 2012 craze, or an evil Soros--Communist-Nazi-NWO doomsday scenario. Comes with the terrain I guess

Very interesting if this is really the dude. I just read the post he authored and it is hard to see coherent thought. The reactions of ATS member who responded was in contrast logical and they questioned his meaning. I think they showed a healthy sane response to some insane posts. Guess we need more laws to protect us from people like this. How about a new law that makes it illegal for insane people to assassinate public figures. That way, every time a crazy person wanted to do it, they would remember that is is illegal and go back to making loony internet posts.

Would hate to be one of the members seen ridiculing him on his past topics.

This member's account and posts here at ATS provide a unique and fascinating view into the seriously flawed thought processes of this disturbed individual.

After reading through a lot of his posts and his threads on ATS, I can't see how it can do anything but expose how seriously disturbed this person was.

It in no way reflects badly on ATS in my opinion. If his own family and those around him could not prevent what happened then what could ATS have possibly done?

People who fear the fact that this guy was a member of this site and posted here, need to perhaps evaluate their own sanity.

This incident highlights nothing more than the importance on good awareness of mental health issues , and good social awareness of whats happening around you.
There would have been at least one person, somewhere in the chain of this mans life, who could have helped him see a different path to the one he chose. Be it the person who vetted his gun registration, the people who bought him up, his local police force, or his priest, someone in his life dropped the ball. This gentleman has proven by the utterly devastated mental condition he was in when his posts occured , that even he barely knows why he has done what he has done.
I think its also worth mentioning the following point, and accepting it. There are an awful lot of people in the world. Of that number, a percentage are either evil, unlucky, or mentaly ill. This fraction of the global population are the ones likely to commit murder and carnage for whatever reason. No matter which demographic you insert, the percentage likelihood of psychopathy, mental malady, or evil are largely speaking similar. You can classify this man as a resident of his town, his county, his state or his nation, or which websites he posts on, but at the end of the day, no matter how you look at it , the fact that he was a member of this website, as opposed to any of the other conspiracy discussion forums means very little in the long run.
It makes no difference to the mathematical probability of a person commiting an attempt of this sort is what I am saying. The fellow could have been a member of several other sites as well, so its really moot even if it turns out that he was here.
The important thing to remember about this fellows actions, as far as I am concerned, is the sheer lack of thought for those who were not either judges or politicians, but were innocent by standers, who ended up deader than the supposed target. These are not the actions of a revolutionary, a hero. These are the actions of a twisted psychology, and as such, should not be used by anyone to lessen the name of this site, or indeed the movement against secrecy and ignorance which this site represents.

Its one of the most popular boards on the web I reckon. I cant recally any threads going against that woman even on a political level, let alone a call to violent action.

Its akin to saying he used wikipedia or google. It means nothing. However I am curious how is mental condition came about to be. Who was he exposed to, who had the contact with? Was it a medical condition, or was it induced through conditioning, by his surroundings or particular events?

The guy deserves nothing less than death. Conspiracies/blog sites/any sites -- do not involve going on killing sprees or blaming others for your life or one's personal short comings . He killed a 9 year old girl. A child. Never even had a chance to grow up and experience any kind of life. I have children. This is beyond horrific.

This guy is a coward who deserves to be publicly executed. Anyone defending him, in my opinion, can join him. Its bad enough he was just randomly shooting people, let alone woman and children as well. Let him burn.........

If ATS is subject to a harsh light after the recent events, then Youtube should be too. ATS was as responsible as Youtube for his actions. Members of ATS are just as guilty as every member of Youtube, and that is to say not at all.
Thing is, it's the internet. Crazy people are everywhere. If we reported everyone who came here or anywhere on the internet who typed like a skiz then the authorities would never have a moments rest.

Oh paranoia, most people in American don't even know what ATS is. They aren't going to care. It's going to be a snippet in a story they will forget tomorrow.

Is this not disinfo to discredit topics being discussed,not saying OP personally but the evidence.

Yeah, crazy people everywhere, but some places (hint , hint) have more people talking about anti-establishment subjects than others so some places are gonna attract and influence more crazy people.

ATS was just a place for him to vent his questions, theories and speculations (as so many of us do), it does not make any of us in any way like him, or mean that the board was a contributing factor to his motives.

Google image search, look at him and then blame the bullies that clearly pummelled this kid everyday for his lunch money.

This is the FIRST sentence on a AP article:

"A 22-year-old man described as a social outcast with wild beliefs steeped in mistrust faces a federal court hearing Monday"

Strange they describe him as a social outcast but earlier had interviewed anonymous friends who claimed he was into things like 9/11 conspiracies.

If you read some of his posts, they seem incoherent - not necessarily distrustful. Why wouldn't they characterize the posts as incoherent instead of mistrustful?

Statistically speaking, for the amount of members that are on ATS, at least one or two of them have killed or will kill someone.

Wouldn't you think?

For the record, I'm not one of them.

I sure hope that this does not shed negative light on ATS or conspiracy theorists in general. We seem to have been getting attacked lately through the media with the birds dropping dead and how people like myself believe there is a conspiracy involved and get made fun of for it. And now this. I love this website and have been lurking it for years. Hope we come out of this clean and a bit more able to help those that seem a little " too " out there. Help them, not condemn them. Debate not insult. Deny Ignorance.

What is 'them' and 'us? Aren't we all human too? Is schizophrenia a disease or a treatable disease? How many of such persons had murdered anyone? Has Jared been confirmed as such?

Why the hurry to do him in? Everyone is innocent till proven guilty. Had you personally saw that bullet from him entered into anyone's body in the confusion as you tried to hide your precious self?

Do think before you open your mouth and post, or you are just as guilty as you presume and cast aspersions on others with views that differs from yours and seek for some form of authenticification before they are allowed the freedom to talk. It is such beliefs that will only lead to the utilitarianism of mankind, and we know how the ending will be - last man on Earth and for sure it wont be you.

I, an insignificant nobody,humbly beg your apology for this outburst, but not for my words. I am aware that you meant only in jest, but its either we make a stand as one together or divide ourselves with preconcieved notions of supposed well beings with measured levels of acceptance within society, differing and distancing ourselves from others, that will only lead to more suffering of others, leading only to our own eventual doom one day.

We mankind must not make this same mistake again, but to seek for means and ways to elevate all, so that NONE will be left behind. An Utopia perhaps, but all great achievements often began as dreams.
