very good thread. I agree that "god" is not what people make/made him out to be and it does seem that he or his helpers used physical machinery to communicate with earthlings. the only one supernatural event that comes to mind is the "finger" writing on the wall and even that is suspect.

I am astonished that no one has asked this yet, but...
What does God need with a starship?

Interesting info...
I posted something from The Ra Material in regards to this thread - which was totally relevant, and it totally got skipped over. TWICE.
It all had to do with Mr. Yahweh.
And why do you say he would decimate the planet? According to RA, he changed his orientation from negative to positive anyways...

I personally think that god being an alien makes much more sense then god being some entity that built the whole everything in 7 days and whatnot. It makes sense to see a god as some ancient alien that experiments with DNA and whatnot and that we are it's creation

...even if He was to fly around in a spaceship it doesn't denounce Him the least bit.

It seems like a lot of people today cling to delusional beliefs based upon skewed story telling.
I always have a little laugh when 'religious' people question my belief in aliens... yeah, right. Like who's really showing how gullible they are - me or them?
The sad part is that 'religion' still dominates sheep-think, so we're bogged down with historical baggage that is a hinderance to future progress. "God did it", is not a satisfactory answer to some of the bigger questions being asked, no matter how much the religious zealots want us to believe it...

Good point...
Maybe I felt like some people here were mocking God in thinking He is on the same level with humans...or aliens...which is offensive to me...But if you're not thinking that then I apologize.
