With security, you loose some liberty.
Without security, prepare to have ALL your liberties taken from you.
Pick one.

Here to define that special treatment is Zahra Billoo, who is a spokeswoman for CAIR, and she joins us from San Francisco. Ms. Billoo, it's good to have you on. I was looking at some of the CAIR recommendations to travelers across the United States, and here is one of the things they say to the women there. They say, "Well, before you're patted down, if you are a Muslim woman and you are flying, you should remind TSA officers that they are only supposed to pat down the area in question," that means your head and neck. "They should not subject you to full body or partial body pat-down, and you can request to pat down your own scarf and your own head and neck area." That's kind of like a self-exam, right? How -- I mean, how does that work? I'm going to feel myself on my groin. I don't even want to go there but you know what I'm saying, a little odd.....

There is a movement to opt out of the scanners on Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

Thank you! I didn't realize it was such a widespread concern. Good. I hope the whole country opts out on Wednesday and opts out of FLYING until they ditch this whole nonsense!
I was sickened to hear about a former TSA staffer in Orlando who was recently arrested for lewd and lascivious conduct.
This morning, the DEA arested a 3-man organization that transported drugs via private ramp companies across various airlines at SJU.
There are 3 warrants out as well for 3 persons who transported coc aine as mail via commercial flights from Puerto Rico to the mainland US.
The three former employees are suspected of using their airport jobs to facilitate the transport of coc aine from Puerto Rico to the mainland US aboard commercial flights.
They are the first line of defense in airport security but two troubling incidents involving TSA agents at LAX are raising concerns.
A TSA agent was arrested on January 3rd in Terminal One at LAX, a source told NBCLA. He had just gotten off duty and was behaving erratically, saying, "I am god, I’m in charge."
Meanwhile, a TSA Internal Affairs investigation turned up evidence of LAX TSA agents using drugs at an after-hours party.
TSA officials say a videotape of the party was of poor quality and the employees were not in uniform, but 4 employees were tentatively identified.
All 4 were tested for drugs. One came back positive and that employee was fired.

Why would you even walk to the security gate if you are going to refuse both searches? That makes you look really suspicious. Makes people think you are trying to hide something.

Because the vast majority of people travelling on aircraft are not terrorists, and do not have anything to hide!
How are they supposed to determine who is a terrorist or not? Telepathy?

Security removing childrens clothes in full public view, removing a prosthetic breast from a cabin crew member and threatening anyone who objects to this treatment with detention and a fine? I have a serious problem, and I am not and never will be a terrorist and I pose absolutely no danger to any flight.
...again, how are the supposed to determine who is a threat or not? How are they supposed to determine who poses a danger or not?

How is x-ray machines (that has already been proven to not work) and groping supposed to help determine who is a terrorist or not?

... again, surely humiliating people in public will help them determine who is a threat or not.

Uhh.. if they are found to have weapons on them! That is obvious... try thinking before posting.
