TSA: Travelers Who Refuse Scanning Can't Leave, Will Be Fined

news.antiwar.com

“Once a person submits to the screening process, they can not just decide to leave” warned Sari Koshetz, a TSA spokesperson. TSA officials say that anyone refusing both the “full body scanners” and the “enhanced pat down” procedures will be taken into custody.

Once there the detainees will not only be barred from flying, but will be held indefinitely as suspected terrorists, face fines of up to $11,000 and may also be turned over to local police.

One sheriff’s office said they were already

One sheriff’s office said they were already preparing to handle a large number of detainees and plan to treat them as terror suspects, held until they are convinced they don’t pose a terror threat.

So that's it then, if you refuse to be groped or go through the scanners then held as a suspect terroirst.

That's it then, everything has changed
It's fast becoming fascism, somebody just put the heel on the wheel

Remember when it was the terroists that were trying to change our way of life and hated us for our freedoms?

The only possibility now is just stop the engine
Stop flying, just stop flying

This must all end now!
Daily reports of abuse and humiliating ordeals

People should also be open to the possibility of this doing some long-term mental damage to some people

Imagine an old grandmother going through this or people with really conservative upbringings.

Imagine Amish people, hell imagine anyone man
nobody should go through this

sounds like a money making scam to me.
Make the process as humiliating as possible so people will object and have to pay fines.
I guess people have to ask themselves .....How much is your dignity worth?

That article isn't the same and doesn't mention that you will be treated like a terrorist suspect

Why would you even walk to the security gate if you are going to refuse both searches? That makes you look really suspicious. Makes people think you are trying to hide something.

That is because you decided to use a sensationalist website.

I call BS on this one. I was just at the TSA website (look it up on Google) and it doesn't say anything about anyone being arrested. Also, yesterday the head guy from TSA (can't remember his name sorry) was on tv CNN I think and he said that everyone has the right to just leave so....

Just more stupid internet rumors being thrown around.

And yeah, don't you think the real news stations would be all over this???

Neither does this one... The link that makes that claim, says nothing about people being treated as terror suspects.

But I agree that people should just NOT FLY this Christmas season. Show them what you think of their policies! It's the POWER that the people have and if you give into it, you are adding to the problem. IMO, anyone who is still flying is SUPPORTING the government's imposition into our lives! Simple as that.

Because the vast majority of people travelling on aircraft are not terrorists, and do not have anything to hide!

A metal detector? Yes, no problem. Highly trained sniffer dogs to detect explosives? Yes, no problem. Security on hand to further investigate a passenger who is behaving suspiciously? Yes, no problem. Security removing childrens clothes in full public view, removing a prosthetic breast from a cabin crew member and threatening anyone who objects to this treatment with detention and a fine? I have a serious problem, and I am not and never will be a terrorist and I pose absolutely no danger to any flight.

I just listened to the interview with the guy who said "Don't touch me junk"
They told him to leave then they stopped him and said they were going to fine him for leaving
So if anyone doesn't get that that might be proof that those machines are harmful to at least brain cells.

Well since they've been doing terrible things to cancer victims, the elderly, young children and the public in general but excemting Muslim women due to religion and only patting down their heads and necks while the NUN is NOT EXCEMPTED due to religion and goes through the whole sordid deal, this raises serious questions. This isnt about safety, its about police state OWNERSHIP of the public, and I DO HOPE everyone refused to be scanned, and refused to pay any fines and refuses to support this system any longer and starts marching in the streets. Xmass will be great news when you find out your teenage son coming back from relatives or your grandparents are detainee's for many eh.

Eisenhower warns us of the military industrial complex.

So as my family and I get ready to leave for a plane trip Tuesday if I decide not to go through with the scanning I will be fined? Wow okay, and to top it off the people who refuse will be labeled as terrorist? Well then If we could I'd rather take the driving route at least that way you can see some great scenery of the country while getting to your destination.

How are they supposed to determine who is a terrorist or not? Telepathy?

This can only be done under contract. Has anybody flown recently that can post a copy of their ticket. Probably just the backside and/or the attached documents. Or read the "fine print" and post what it says?

This whole TSA thing may just serve as another good lesson on reading what we sign.

I think I am going to start a group to teach the traveling public basic lethal hand to hand combat to be used in the case of attemted sexual assault.

If there is a known threat of being injured and / or killed, a TSA agent might think twice before deciding to grab me franks n beans!

interesting, i guess it depends on where you live.

the district attorney to San Mateo county in northern California where SFO is, said he would have the sheriffs department ready to arrest the TSA if they commit any crimes.

he specifically stated, that if your genitals are touched inside the pants, that is a felony.

if your genitals are touched outside the pants, that is a misdemeanor.

the TSA claims federal immunity, but the DA said they only get immunity when they arent breaking the law,. so as soon as they touch you they lose that immunity. and he said he WILL prosecute.

because not everybody who has purchased a ticket is fully aware of the circumstances.

as these procedures, seem to be changing by the day.

not even a month ago they claimed they werent even groping ANYBODY.

just last week they decided that they need to go INSIDE your pants.

what if i bought my ticket oh i dunno....a month ago, assumed my government normal, and headed off to the airport for anormal flight?

well, thats what is happening.

Wow. I guess we will see if such a statement is just public lip service or a genuine warning. I hope your DA stands behind his words.

How are they supposed to determine who is a terrorist or not? Telepathy?

Simple deduction...a cabin crew member with 35 yrs service is highly unlikely to suddenly decide to pack her prosthetic boob with semtex

A young white child travelling with his dad is unlikely to be carrying an explosive in his jumper

A muslim woman (or possibly man - can't tell) covered from head to toe with an Iraqi passport may well require further examination...Heck no, that would upset her religious sensibilties...let her go through without removing her veil or giving her a pat down....Hmmmm???

And to get back to the simple deduction route of determining who is a terrorist or not, basic arthimetic can solve that: the vast majority of people in the world are in fact NOT terrorists and have absolutely NO intention of ever blowing up an aircraft or harming their fellow citizens in any way!
