No, they're saying it's a US Airways commercial jet well west of LA cruising at 38,000 feet under perfect atmospheric conditions and at the right time of day to create the ultimate optical illusion.

Heck, I buy into many conspiracies and it's obvious to me this is a jet. The little 3 second zoomed in clip shows nothing, and it certainly doesn't show a missile accelerating vertically.

Heck, the reason TPTB aren't coming forward proving this is flight 808 is because by not doing so, this mass hysteria continues!

Lets just get utterly nutjobbery: they could then use this mass hysteria to their advantage and really sneak one by us, such as sending Prince back to his home planet.

how come u can go to selected times and days than? with accurate weather?

the one video that was showed without all the speculative garbage from cbs shows several clips of the actual object. in watching these clips by themselves you can see they repeat and show from several different angles. they also slow the film when zoomed in. when they zoom in it does appear to be a missle launched at an upward trajectory but when they zoom out in one shot you can see that it is a contrail that has mixed with cirrus clouds in the distance so it appears to be something from very high and far to being something very high and closer. coupled with the flight path of 808 i must say i retract my earlier outright rejection of the contrail theory and conclude that it is possible it is a contrail. it could also be a missile though. it depends on which way it was traveling and other variables that i cant deduce from 5 second edited clips from sensationalist media.

the real story is the government knew this all along, they probably knew last night when cbs decided to run this story. the fact that they made nebulous statements with poo eating grins shows that this was an elaborate dis-info hoax exercise. i hope they got the result they wanted from all this nonsense. they still know now but will not put an end to this. the military and the media playing mind games with the population and a modern day war of the worlds. par for the course.

I hope video surfaces from different locations. I remember a while back after the Norway spiral flap an ATS member was able to triangulate a possible point of origin for the spiral. He posted it, but I don't remember which thread. I'll have to dig up the thread and see if the member could do the same for this event if more video surfaces.

We need to know the precise measurements from the helicopter. What was their altitude, direction of travel and what compass point was their camera pointing. Without that information we are just relying on the "experts" to kindly inform the sheeple that their is nothing to worry about.

I believe it was a missile for two reasons. One, it looks like a missile complete with orange flame coming out the back. I have never seen a contrail from a plane that was anything but white, so why is that cloud dirty brownish looking? Second, this would have been cleared up immediately after it happened. No one at the Pentagon would be saying they didn't know what it was nor would any of the agencies that have commented on this. If it was soo obvious that it was a plane, why is this still an issue? Why all the "well, we don't know what it was" stuff? Yet, members on this forum are so sure it was a plane, yet the ones in this country who should know claim not to or won't tell? That part makes absolutely no sense for it being a plane. This would be a complete NON ISSUE if it was a plane, not a 74 page thread of speculation and "we don't know."

the link to yesterdays launch is not connected to this threads event .. different date and the location is about 50-75 miles NNW of the point it is said to have been at (35 miles off the coast West of LA ... a bit north of Catalina)

I don't usually debunk but I am with Phage on this one... its an airplane. I see a lot of rocket launches. I have a big collection of photos and videos. In fact you can see many on youtube. This looks like a jet not a rocket...

I did post before and said I think you were wrong in saying there's two seperate trails so therefore a plane.
I think it was just the light effect looking like two trails when its really just one if you look close.
