If this had been a "real launch" there would have been radar and other indications of it.

I'm sorry, but I've been away for a while. Does anyone believe this wasn't a warning from the Chinese?
Please, people: The Chinese got within miles of our shores, they launched a missile for all to see as a warning, and the media wants you to believe it's a contrail?
WAKE UP!

Did you see the jets scrambling? Did you see the warships gathering? Did anyone?
The post I was replying to was worried about the slowness of a response. There was no response required because there was no threat.

No but I did see the videos and the pictures. And I did see the Pentagon not knowing what it was and not saying it was a plane right away.

They didn't know it was a plane right away...because the Pentagon doesn't track all commercial flights.
When the Pentagon says "we aren't sure what it is"...that doesn't in any way mean "It was a missile". It simply means they don't know what it is...and they, unlike others, don't just start to speculate until they have an answer.
The did say fairly quickly that it wasn't a domestic or a foreign country launch...even though they didn't know what exactly it was yet...they knew it wasn't a missile/rocket.

It was not a real launch so there was no priority assigned to determine what it was...not until the internet came along and did its thing, getting a lot of people all riled up. Then it was decided that yup, I guess we have to think about it.

boondock...let's just think about it for a second.
If they would of picked up a missile or rocket on their radars....would they just sit there to try to figure out what it was....or would they be scrambling jets all over the place???

Your video didn't work, so I fixed it so I can watch it here.
Nice video, but I've stopped it right after after he said : "Ballistic missile never change direction".
Who said that one did? Ohhh by the little curve on the video?
What about that :
Video 0:20-0:23
There is something up there call wind... That is probably not that kind of missile but whatever the missile or rocket there is still wind...
