If this had been a "real launch" there would have been radar and other indications of it.

Did you see the radars? Can we also see them?

I'm sorry, but I've been away for a while. Does anyone believe this wasn't a warning from the Chinese?

Please, people: The Chinese got within miles of our shores, they launched a missile for all to see as a warning, and the media wants you to believe it's a contrail?

WAKE UP!

Yes...plenty of us think this wasn't a warning from the Chinese.

Does anyone still believe this WASN'T a jet contrail??? How much more evidence do you need to prove this is a jet contrail? Where is even one single shred of evidence that this is a Chinese missile?

Did you see the jets scrambling? Did you see the warships gathering? Did anyone?
The post I was replying to was worried about the slowness of a response. There was no response required because there was no threat.

edit on 11/11/2010 by Phage because: (no reason given)

No but I did see the videos and the pictures. And I did see the Pentagon not knowing what it was and not saying it was a plane right away. I did ear generals and others pros said it was a missile, like in the last video. I did read news from around the world with experts from around the world saying that was not a plane.

Which has nothing to do with the post I was replying to or my reply to it.
You've made it clear what you think.

They didn't know it was a plane right away...because the Pentagon doesn't track all commercial flights.

When the Pentagon says "we aren't sure what it is"...that doesn't in any way mean "It was a missile". It simply means they don't know what it is...and they, unlike others, don't just start to speculate until they have an answer.

The did say fairly quickly that it wasn't a domestic or a foreign country launch...even though they didn't know what exactly it was yet...they knew it wasn't a missile/rocket.

phage
how can you say that?
the only way you could say that
was if you were in the control rooms
at NORAD when this event happened?
What is your source for that statement???

boondock...let's just think about it for a second.

If they would of picked up a missile or rocket on their radars....would they just sit there to try to figure out what it was....or would they be scrambling jets all over the place???

Yes Phage. What say you now?
Come now this thing has a feel of coverup, no matter what the truth is.

If this had been a "real launch" there would have been radar and other indications of it. There were none. If it had been a real launch there would have been a lot of action taken very quickly.

It was not a real launch so there was no priority assigned to determine what it was...not until the internet came along and did its thing, getting a lot of people all riled up. Then it was decided that yup, I guess we have to think about it.

Well Phage.Another scenario could equally be this.
The Chinese or another country sneak within firing range of a major US city and launch a missile to show the WH what they are capable of.
The WH knows instantly there was a launch but not by who, so it tells all agencies to NOT realease any information to the public.
Whether or not they find out who launched is irrelevant. They would still never tell the public it happened.
The delay in clearing up this matter only gives more credit to a missile theory..

You on the otherhand base your claim on a video even though you say the cameraman is lying.
You dont know exactly where it was filmed or in what direction the event occured,
but are quite prepared to even name the flight number...Now thats wierd...

sorry outkast
but no jet in the world can catch up
to a ICBM in transit, so why bother???

Your video didn't work, so I fixed it so I can watch it here.

Nice video, but I've stopped it right after after he said : "Ballistic missile never change direction".

Who said that one did? Ohhh by the little curve on the video?

What about that :

Video 0:20-0:23

There is something up there call wind... That is probably not that kind of missile but whatever the missile or rocket there is still wind...

Guidance system kicks in...causes a slight change in direction. Missile.

Right. And NORAD, detecting an unknown missile launch, would do nothing. No planes scrambled, no ships deployed.

That makes sense.

The cameraman placed the "launch" in the vicinity of Catalina Island. US Air flight 808 was in the vicinity of Catalina Island at 5:00, the time of the incident. The next day US Air flight 808 produced another contrail at 5:00. Not weird. I think people call it "connecting the dots".

Not necessarily about the slowness of the response as you said there was none, but the amount of time it took according to the pentagon spokesman to "canvas the various agencies" ... That is the part that is troubling.

It raises questions, and makes our government/military/agencies look like a bunch of idiots.

Checking missile inventories etc... Leaving too much time for speculation... The whole thing looks bad.

The public response from the government should have came quickly, and been clearly convincing.

Maybe they knew as you said that this was no threat, but they did not do enough to convince the public, and that is a problem... Because it seemed that the government and military and various agencies were themselves unsure if there had or had not been some kind of launch.

And that is why there are so many who still and may always believe there was a rocket/missile and there is a cover-up in progress now.

They created this monster, and it will never go away now... Maybe ATS should open a new forum just for this, just like the 9/11 forum.
