Why is the only source for this an Indian web site?

Its been shown that the Indian media are exaggerating this story.

Post some other sources...

I dislike this administration intensely but this is a load of BS. All presidents take trips like this w/security and such...especially to the G-20.

A bigger question to me is if Biden is going. If so, where will Pelosi be? I'm concerned for obvious reasons....Pelosi becoming President would be a greater disaster than anything this country has endured.

Wow the Pentagon must really be slipping if some blogger in India can leak classified Navy deployment schedules, including the POTUS travel itinerary. Way to go Secret Service!

Of course this same source in India also planted the "200 million a day" costs for the trip.

As Anderson Cooper just pointed out, the entire war operation in Afghanistan cost 192 million per day. Are we supposed to believe then that a trip to India by the POTUS and his staff cost more than that???

To all the media IDIOTS on Fox (Rush, Glenn, Bachmann, et. al.) FACT CHECK sources - that's what REAL journalists do. But I suppose when the agenda is to embarrass your "enemies" (the POTUS), any story, phony or not, will do.

Thing is, no one here seems to know where those 37 warships in "training" are. Maybe, they do.

too lazy to check the credibility of this report also, will accept it as a potential truth. I have no clue what the protocol is for visiting places like india...but keep in mind, theres a billion of em there...if they decide they dont like him, it would be nothing for a few million people charging down the road after him...perhaps such extensive amounts of potential force is necessary simply for the dynamics.

1) All of this, is as it seems.. and nothing is going on. Meaning he is spending our money like it is stolen.

I don't see his comment as racist at all...

I've recently had my home telephone number given out to call centers and my phone has been ringing off the hook from call center salesmen. 6 times this week.... 100% of them were INDIAN.

It's just an observation, not a racist comment

CNN anderson cooper is EVEN saying this trip obama is taking it lavish and not needed...

He talked about how the fleet of ships will be carrying out extra duties while stationed by the president.

Everything about this is extremely concerning, not in and of itself but in light of what has been put into place as far as military hardware over the last year.

A total of thirty combat vessels are currently deployed in the region, including those belonging to Britain and France.

The USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier with 5,000 crew members, including sailors and pilots, has entered the territory of the US Fifth Fleet. Abraham Lincoln is accompanied by USS Cape St. George and battle cruisers as well as four destroyers.

All this with his currant entourage of firepower is a definite RED FLAG to anyone who has their eyes open.

And for those that say "Wait and see" I say Don't wait - get prepared NOW,as you will certainly SEE very soon if you don't already...the writing is on the wall.

The mere thought of the Presidents Trip costing the American Tax Payer a reported 200 Million a Day can only make a person see how Ludacris this Trip really is ....

It's pretty ironic that Obama is spending over $200 million going to an "economic conference" for a few days, to a country that until only a few decades ago was considered Third World.

I loved the comment "how exactly are 34 warships going to stop a missile".

This reminds me of one of those project camelot interviews...cant remember which offhand

but they were talking about how lots of military movements will be going on, but not to believe it...they are going for erm...stargates or portals or some such...but under the guise of some regular things like this.

actually, there has been a few "informers" whom spoke about these things...from the yeman supposed "portal", to I guess this and others...
