I am not a troll, thank you very much, nor a bot. And as to the “inviting” issue; TheLoneArcher was not asked into this thread by me. I’m pretty sure that he came here of his own volition. Maybe because fate steered him here…

And a word of advice; if you can’t take criticism, don’t post ridiculous threads that have absolutely no provable, logical or intellectual content.

And don’t follow ideologies that actively instill fear into your fellow Man. Use your brain to help others.

Hi Beamish. Please do not take to heart about what he has written. I really do not think that he means any harm. I just think that he finds it hard to believe that other people have a different view to him regarding God. I am sure that deep down he is a good person and means no one any grievance.

Still, I thak you for your input on this thread and I hope our paths cross again.

What personal issues are burning the aggresion into your mind. Why can you not simply listen to other peoples' opinion without condeming them. I know of 3 people who would have, Jesus, Buddah and Mohammed.

Ah, we agree on something. There is a God. There is divine creation in the universe and it is all around us, in our very being. We are not God, but God is in all of us.

However, I will still not subscribe to a vengeful God who wants to condem us to hell for not following every order. That implies a lack of free will. God is light and love.

TheTruthIsFromGod is suffering from something I believe is darn close to a form of OCD; he is now parroting scripture and the threats of hellfire because firstly it makes him feel better (about something), and secondly he is scared witless about stopping just in case something bad happens.

I admire your willingness to try and help him. Heck, if he bothered to even talk to me instead of threatening and insulting, then I’m sure there is a possible discourse available.

I recently read that an opinion that I hold to be true: it isn’t the man-made institutions that screw things up; it’s the people running them.

I’m sure there is wisdom in all of the holy books, but it’s Man’s agenda-driven misinterpretations and need for control that taints them.

I agree. All good things tend to get hijecked by greedy and ambitious people. This maybe my last post before the weekend, so have a great time, and that means you too OP.

I know I also said I was done, but I think I might have figured out what is really going on here. I think it is possible that the OP didn't come up with this as an original idea. In fact it was probably borrowed from someone he respects or believes. That is why there is no debate, and he is only able to regurgitate the same tired information he has already given us. I think possibly I was wrong on his motives and attitude, its very possible he just doesn't know how to answer our questions or foster constructive debate because he is only repeating what he heard from someone else. This seems to me much more likely than our other ideas now that I think about it.

I also believe that TheTruthisFromGod has been rejected by mainstream Islam, possibly for his extreme – and unusual (Chilean miners, Raj Patel) – views.

But that is not an accusation, just an observation I’d be glad to be proven wrong…
