Democrats will lose power in historic proportion!

The polls are practically unbelievable. Historic is not the word.

They of course deserve it. These Democrats are really not true Democrats, they are not JFK Democrats, these people are just plain criminal.
It is not just Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Frank, Dodd. In fact, is is certainly not just Democrats. But, one "foe" at a time, and the foe is that person currently holding the office and using the office to STAY in power. Be it Republican OR Democrat, the incumbent needs to go.

But, it appears that the Republican ideology is more in line with the majority of the people. It might be our only hope, in the near term, to insist upon this new blood REVERSING not only the oppressive acts of the current congress, but the crap George Bush laid on us as well. In other words, TAKE BACK REPRESENTATIVE GOVERNMENT CONGRESS!

Reign in the executive branch. Prosecute the Wall Street criminals. Establish a REAL 911 commission. Review ALL DUAL CITIZENSHIP CITIZENS!! Especially, our "friends", the Israelis. Let's END their influence in Washington NOW.

What do YOU think?

You are accurate when you point out the Democrats are not like JFK Democrats. In the ‘80s the DLC came into politics with the goal of moving Democrats to the center and fight the culture wars instead of the class wars. This gave us Democrats like Bill Clinton as the DLC started bringing in money from big business and Wall Street when Democrats formerly refused funds from big business.

I do not see the joy of the Democrats losing as we will be losing one set of criminals for an even worse set IMO. I disagree with both GOP and Democratic ideas on how to fix the country because neither address the crucial issues that will restore economic security and social responsibility which is terribly needed in this country. Do Democrats deserved to be slaughtered? The Corporate Democrats do. Do the Republicans also deserve to be slaughtered? The Corporate Republicans do.

We need to balance the budget even if that means raising taxes and slash spending. The target spending should be on the military's bloated budget which the Republicans will refuse to touch. They would prefer to attack the social safety net that millions of Americans are relying on for mere survival in these turbulent times. The Democrats have no plan whatsoever for fixing the budget deficit, neither side will compromise and neither side is willing to do what is necessary to balance the books, bring transparency, uphold accountability, bring home the troops, restore civil liberties, restore Wall Street regulations, remove regulations on people and small business, close tax loopholes, close the trade deficit and rein in the authority of the executive branch.

The system is the problem, not the politicians. Voting new people in will never fix the problems we face. The power and money will corrupt any new politicians that are elected, and the cycle will continue. Promises will be broken, people will be bribed and the rich will continue to get richer.

Do you really think that the people we supposedly elect really run things anyway?

Yes the Democrats will be slaughtered....

So if after the elections and things stay the same with the corruption, wars, corporatracracy, and special favors to campaign contributors and lobbyists, even though the govt. shifts to the conservative right.

What are you going to do Stewie. I know....more crybaby whinning on the internet. Same as it ever was blaming the libs and perhaps a bit of ultraviolence on the faces of young women that many on the right seemed to enjoy.

At least you and your rightwing friends will fall into the neocon trap and can claim victory...hollow tho it may be.

not so fast man im not so sure what will really be happening while polls do lean right that doesnt necessarily mean

the gop will win factors have to be taken into account there are already allegations of voter fraud add the fact that a recent nevada ruling has made it so that to be registered to vote proof of citizenship will now not be required and illegals have been getting out the vote and military ballots will not be counted in time.

myself while i do lean right and hope for a gop win i am not jumping on the slam dunk bandwagon just yet.

too many variables going on at the moment for me to breathe a sigh of relief.

my 2 cents.

First, thanks for the super response. Well thought out, Misoir.
I only disagree on a few points.
One, the government cannot raise taxes except for the VERY rich. This is going to require a congress that actually wants to correct the horrible imbalances we are being subjected to. But, that is not the biggest problem facing us, the tax rate.
It is the absolute and total corruption that has to be exterminated like you would a plague, a horrible virus. This corruption destroys the moral fabric of society. The worst elements in our society are rewarded with the spoils of our collective labor, while the working middle class is reduced to the working poor...or the unemployed.
Americans want to believe in America, they want to believe in their government. They want to look up to their leaders, but they have no one to look up to.
I grew up with television news anchors the vast majority of people trusted. They have traded that trust for personal wealth. So have many of our other cherished institutions. This dirty money is destroying our country and civilization itself. it will not stop on its own until, like a plague, it kills towns, states...
We have a job to do, and it will continue after the election. Divided, WE FALL.

Voting will not fix the problem, it will only remove the current entrenched political operatives. It is the best way we currently have to change things, but we as a people MUST be more active in government. We cannot just sit back after we vote and consider our job done.
Do you know your state representative, your US representative and Senators? You must, and you must be communicating with them. The people that SHOW UP influence politics.

You got that right! The stupid thing though is this false dichotomy being presented in the "two party system," you have to belong to one side or the other. How about drop the sides and just come down on the side of what's right? It doesn't matter if you kick the democrats out, because the republicans have the same number of traitorous shills being paid and controlled by the same people as the democrats, which is inline with what was said by Ashes.

The system is the problem. It is a shame that the framers of the Constitution and the law were not granted the foresight to circumvent the problems of the last 100 years or more. What every country in the world needs is to operate as a true republic using the rule of law, not lobbyists and special interest groups. Right now through said lobbyists and special interest groups, about 5% of the population controls the other 95%, so how's that democracy working out for you? I guess like the Obamanators Hope and Change huh? You have to hope you can stay alive and IT doesn't steal everything right down to your pocket change.

Every country should be coining their own currency and all central banks including the BIS should be dismantled, their operators tried for treason and if found guilty, well, they get whatever the law allows for treason. I don't think there has been any greater evil perpetrated on so many people at one time and for such a long period as what has been done by the international banking cartel. They have killed more people than all religions and may even be reposible for those deaths as well.

Right now, if any country tries to break away from the central banking system, all other puppet governments will neither buy from nor sell to that country, as they are all being extorted by the same bankers.

There are only two options to fix the problem and I don't think all those politicians are going to hand back control of countries to the "people," get transparency/accountbility and disolve the central banking system on their own.

Cheers - Dave

I don't consider myself your "right wing" foe, though you obviously do.
I have a small business I will probably lose. I have worked twenty plus years to be able to pay my own way while helping others. (Really.)
I hate war, I think it destroys the human spirit and is almost always totally unnecessary. I believe in self-defense, the kind that will put an intruder 6 feet under.

We Americans, and we are not the only ones, are pathetically stupid. There is no doubt. We allow criminals to control us, to lure us overseas to kill strangers. But, there are some of us that keep trying to get people to see the light.

Call it whining, I don't care.

But, YOUR left is a fiction, just as YOUR definition of me as "right wing" is a fiction as well.

I'll see you in four years when the exact same thing is being said about the republicans. Anyone buying into either side's ideology at this point is borderline mentally retarded in my opinion.

AH, YES!!

The fat Elephant shall be back soon enough; in control.

We shall dazzle the pheasant minds enough to win the minds of those that think not; the majority.

Thou canst change thus.

We shall oust thou commoner-loving Democrats; thou despicable pheasant loving traitors to us.

The fat Elephant shall still fool thy masses.

Thou canst stop that.

Our own we shall help; and thou Democrats we shall triumph over.

Thou despicable commoners we shall enslave further via debt.

Destruction of the economy we shall do again; a must before the Liberal prosper and surplus of the economy was to occur!!

We shall ruin reelection for the Democrat.

To thou commoners: prosperity you shall lack for all the rest of your days.

Your offspring we shall cut deeper.

The fat Elephant will be back; you shall doeth nothing.

So true,
but we have to do something. We have to channel our energy into positive change. We cannot be in perpetual reaction mode, reacting to an out of control government. We have to find a way to get representative government back. One country at a time if need be.
I can tell you, I do.

When your " Choice " is Really Not a Choice at All but merely an Illusion , all you can Hope for to Maintain the current Status Quo is to Choose the Lesser of Two Evils . In the case of this upcoming Mid Term Election , it is Self Evident to me that the Main Issue on most Americans Minds right now is the every expanding Size and Power of the Federal Goverment . The Candidates in this Election who propose curtailing the growth of this Bureaucratic Monster be it Republican, Democrate, or Independent , are the ones that the People should Support as their Voice in Defending the Liberties that we still have left .

See you at the Polls ............

I agree that if taxes are to be raised they only be raised on those who make over $1,000,000 or more. I wholeheartedly agree with your post we have traded trust and honor for wealth and fame. Before the 1980’s you actually had to work hard and be a good person to earn an honorable following while today all you must have is witty remarks and partisan attack pieces to win over the minds of the masses. This goes for both sides of the argument.

If a television anchor would speak a lie on television they would immediately try and correct it before their reputation is ruined while today the more lies they tell the more following they garner. I am hoping this recession has brought people back to reality and I believe it is occurring but as usual government is the last to respond. Americans are turning against government, business and media for a simple reason, they are more interested in political mudslinging than finding solutions to our problems.

They are tired of the lies (Democrats, Independents and Republicans) and they are tired of the corruption which is rampant throughout our political and financial centers. Now they see the two combined to make one authoritarian bureaucracy which legislates against the interests of the people. I don’t believe Americans are anti-government I believe they are just against ridiculous over taxation and over regulation, this makes people angry at even good regulations as they just see at as more lies and more government control.

I have already said before that we need to reform Capitalism to fix its flaws, Capitalism does not take into account emotion such as (greed, tradition, morals, respect, integrity, honor) and thus is able to be abused by those who are seeking to profit. We will always have these people but we must find a way for people to throw them aside for causing divisions within society. Before media became CNN, MSNBC and FOX we had honorable news outlets that provided us with the most important political, economic and natural disaster related news around. Now news is all about partisan politics by using media outlets to push their agendas combined with celebrity gossip for distraction.

The whole dog and pony show needs to end but we as a society must first admit we have a problem so that we can begin to fix it. Deny the demagogues the right to preach their division such as Hannity, Olbermann, O’Reilly, Schulz, Beck and Matthews and allow the real news anchors to return.

I agree, we have to do something, but we have tried voting time and time again. The politicians know the complaints of the majority of the people and still nothing is done.

Part of the problem is that the government isnt scared of its citizens like they should be. They are so used to all that power that they think they are untouchable. Theres no accountability. There shouldve been riots in the streets over what they have done to the country. People bitched and complained about it but nothing serious was done to show them that we are really pissed and fed up with it.

It just gives them more confidence that they can get away with anything they want and there will be no consequences. They dont even try to hide the fraud and corruption anymore, they do it right in our faces!
